After about 2 weeks the display port died. Fortunately for me I had purchased from amazon and the replacement was on the way within hours. The new one works like a charm.
    Picture quality is great !

Once again, not after another 7 months and same thing again.. DisplayPort died while the HDMI still works.

Now I need to figure out how to get this replaced again!

Bottom line… I would NOT recommend this monitor if you are planning to use the DisplayPort!

Recently decided to change my gaming setup from a tv to a monitor when I discovered this 4k model from Asus. Was a little nervous at first coming from a 49″ 4k Sony tv but that went away as soon as the Asus powered on. May not support hdr like my tv but the image quality is stunning. I’ve noticed no input lag and my games are buttery smooth. Couldn’t be happier with it

I bought this for my Macbook Pro, which has an HDMI port built in, to use at home. Resolution is extremely poor. It would give me the 3840×2160 size, but it looked awful and the next size down option was 1600×900, which was ALSO low resolution. Tried upgrading the cable, that did nothing. I use other 4k monitors in my office with zero problems or clarity, so I know it’s not my video card. I feel sick about my purchase because you really can’t return these things once you’ve opened them.

The screen brightness is really underwhelming. This is after trying every possible configuration on the screen and within Nvidia control panel.
I compared this to a 5 year-old 24inch Dell monitor that I have and to my Mac retina display. The white looked lifeless.

I bought this monitor in preparation for the Xbox one X and this is my first 4K monitor I have owned. It feels the same as my BenQ XL2730Z when I am playing FPS shooter games (Destiny 2, Gears of War 4, COD Black Ops 3 and Titan fall 2) on my Xbox one S. It has a clear bright screen with no dead pixels, good controls and no noticeable input lag. I would have preferred a HDR gaming monitor but they won’t be coming out until next year. I would totally recommend this gaming monitor if your on the fence about buying this.

    Summary:
Good for gaming, bad for coding/productivity, not suitable for CAD design work.

    Pros:
    -Good video and gaming performance
    -Great price
-2 HDMI ports and 1 DP port
    -Evenly lit panel

    Cons:
-The panel is prone to pixel walk
-The panel tends to flicker on most grey backgrounds (pixel walk)
-The colour tuning DSP makes text hard to read even at 200% DPI scaling. 30 min playing with monitor settings / ClearType tuner didn’t yield good text / PDF legibility.
    -Odd colour reproduction without calibration

This monitor is good if you want to play games. It is very bright, and 4K makes imagery look sharp and crisp.

On the contrary, if you want to watch movies or are a software developer this is an extremely terrible monitor. Even moderately fast moving scenes have a ghosting effect on this monitor which spoils the movie watching experience. Before you tell me to go check the refresh rate, yes I ran it at 60Hz and the fast moving scenes have a ghosting effect.

If you are a software developer, this monitor is not suitable for long hours of coding. Blue light filter mode doesn’t work properly. The warm color option is defunct and this monitor will strain your eyes if you work on this for long hours in low ambient light conditions.
I realized this being unfit for coding after using for more than a month and exhausting my return window, so unfortunately I cannot return it now. I have again resumed my search for the perfect 4k monitor for programming.

Just putting this out there because this took me hours to research and find a way to activate freesync. You can enable Freesync with Geforce graphics cards. First you must go to your monitor menu>go down 5 tabs until you reach the spanner icon>navigate to DisplayPortStream>change to DP 1.2> go to Nvidia control panel>Set up Gsync

This monitor looked great coming in, I have returned this monitor not for lack of quality but as I decided I really wanted the refresh rate rather than the 4k resolution because of my gaming needs. This thing could play games at Ultra at a fantastic resolution but the refresh rate is what got me (and the amd freesync as I have nvidia) the in-capabilities were my fault however as I should have done the research. If you have an AMD card and you want 4K gaming then this is perfect for you for the price point. Just remember to use the display port as you will get capped at 30Hz if you run through the HDMI 1 port. Another learning curve for me, but I found out the HDMI 2 port can support 60Hz with the right cable. overall I hope amazon nor the company is upset with the return as this is a great product, just not for me.

I bought this monitor as a prelude to my Xbox one x. Even now on my regular Xbox one it looks fantastic! I couldn’t be more satisfied. I am a competitive gamer and play a lot of fast twitch shooters. My kd’s are generally above 2 in most games. I can not live without TN panel monitors such as this. I was looking for 4K plus FreeSync to work with Xbox one x and this fits the bill perfectly. Not only does it look awesome but the game plus technology allows for a reticle to be placed on screen digitally for shotgunning and quick scoping. Overall I am completely satisfied by this purchase and would recommend for any gamers that play competitively.

    It’s a beautiful 4K monitor and a decent bargain.

    There are two tiny flaws.

One flaw is that it sometimes doesn’t wake up when the computer does and you have to do something to the little joystick control on the back to force it to wake.

Which leads to the second tiny flaw, the little joystick control on the back.

Other companies who make monitors have figured this out and have implemented a series of buttons, especially a dedicated and simple on/off button. Using the little joystick on the back to both turn the monitor on and off as well as navigate through the various menus is anti-intuitive and cumbersome, and the joystick is overly-sensitive to what direction you’re pushing it. If you push it in even the slightest wrong direction you’re suddenly selecting something you don’t want. And sometimes, even when pushing it in the correct direction, you still somehow end up selecting an option you didn’t want.

For me, the quality of the image and price outweigh these two tiny flaws.

And, I’m sure I’ll get better at the joystick the more I use it.

    I hope.
