My French bulldog loves this. She loves to chase football’s after we kick them. She doesn’t play with small balls at all. I got this as it wouldn’t be too hard for us to kick and could still be played with in the house. I wasn’t sure on the size so got this so she could pick it up in her mouth. I have tried to take a photo so you can see the size in comparison.

I have been using the chuck it rubber balls for a while as my lab likes to chew the balls and tennis balls have destroyed her teeth. And this kicking ball is just marvellous as both my dogs now chase eachother to get it and then spend about two minutes playing tug of war until one gives in and lets it go. They love it.

I have a year old Red Heeler who weighs maybe 20 pounds. I got the smaller of these thinking it would suit her small muzzle easily, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. The smaller of these Kick-It’s would be better for larger-muzzled/larger dogs.

When I got her the ‘large’ Kick-It, she fell in love with it after the first throw! This became *her* ball and not even my 120 pound Great Pyrenees could take it from her.

My Heeler could grab this ball with ease and carry and shake it as much as she wanted and still be able to keep a great grip on it with more than just her canines.

I’ve had this ball about a year now I guess, and the only mistake I’ve made was to leave it outside with her. No matter the breed or size of dog, this ball *can* be torn up. My dog seemed to prefer to tug on the blue rubber the most, though that meant that little pieces of it ended up getting swallowed and then pooped out later, heh. It’s not a danger, just funny to see.

Once the blue rubber and the orange material began to be torn up, you finally see the innards – a white-colored *very* tough foam-like material. It too can be chewed up into pieces, but it’s no easier than the blue rubber. Tough stuff and you’ll see why the ball bounced so well!

Our ball is now only half the ball it was when new. Half the white innards are gone and I’ve taken the strips of orange and blue and tied them together in ways that sort of holds the little bit of what’s left of the ball together. We’ll play with it until the new one gets here and I’m going to keep the old one as a souvenir because it held up so well to a tough little dog for so long and is made just perfect for her to play with.

My dog loves this ball, she’s a small collie cross and can easily pick it up to carry and run with. She does want to chew it though, and if I left it with her she’d have it wrecked in minutes. It’s not poor quality or flimsy, it actually feels quite robust, but she’s an expert in ripping up toys and seems to cut through rope toys especially with scissor like teeth and minimal effort. For that reason, i only let her have this when we go out on the field for a kick about, in the house she would have exploded the inners in minutes!

Our 16 month old 55 lb female pit bull loves this toy!! We had started playing soccer with her with a regular soccer ball and she absolutely loved it. The only problem was that she really sunk her teeth into the soccer ball and the covering came off after just about three weeks of playing with it. The stitching also came apart to the point where the ball just needed to be thrown away.

We came across this Chuck It a while back and reconsidered buying it once the regular soccer ball got destroyed. WOW, what a great toy!!

This toy is similar to a soccer ball in that you can kick it. I will say, there is a slight difference because this ball is a bit bouncier so there is less ability for people to have ball control like you would with a regular soccer ball. For example, if you are playing with your dog and two adults, and one adult tries to catch the ball with their chest or stomach, it bounces off and away from your body much more than a soccer ball would.

The material that the ball is made out if is very strong and seems like it will hold up for a while. Our dog can grab the Chuck It more easily because of the large grooves in it that are made specially for dogs to carry this in their mouths. It is a great concept because she is less likely to bite the ball anywhere else or try to sink her teeth into the ball because she can get a good grip on it without doing that.

This ball is also easier to get away from your dog (we play “keep away” from her but she is WAY BETTER than we are). With a soccer ball our dog would almost always get the ball away from us – we cheated and had to use our hands – and even then the ball would easily slip away. The “grip” or “handle” style of this ball also makes it easier for humans to get involved in playtime with kicking, throwing and playing fetch. It is so much fun!!

The ball is easy to clean. You can just rinse it off with soap and water – or just water – and it will dry fairly quickly.

I highly recommend this ball for anyone who loves to play fetch or soccer with their dog!!!

This only arrived yesterday and both dogs absolutely love it. We got the small size which is perfect for both of them. As for durability only time will tell but having had the Chuckit frisbee for 17 years I have high hopes. These are perfect for interacting and playing with you dogs which is the only time they get them, so no opportunity to lie down and chew to pieces. The ball has good bounce and is easy for them to pick up. Not so easy to get out of the Frenchies mouth though lol. It’s a lovely bright colour so not easy to lose sight of. A bit pricey but if it lasts as long as the frisbee then well worth the money.

So first let me say my corgi absolutely LOVES this toy. We have the chuck it wheel, frisbee, and ball launcher; this one is his favorite. There are two issues that resulted in the 4 star rating.

    1. The small is still just slightly too large for my corgi’s tiny mouth. He hasn’t found a great way to hold on to it. I like that it’s big enough it isn’t going through my fence like a tennis ball does, but it’s probably just an inch too big in diameter to really fit my corgi.

    2. This thing is already coming apart. My boy’s teeth punctured the blue portion of the ball, as well as the seams have come open in just a couple weeks too. I’d probably give this 3/5 stars but my dogs love of this toy bumps my rating up.

If you are looking for an outdoor toy that is more durable, the chuck it wheel has done a fantastic job holding up.

My dog has one too and loves it. I only let him, play with it outside because I know a a terrier he will destroy it, but it has remained in one piece for 3 months. Love the shape – easier to carry to the park than a football, he can pick it up and it is easy to fling a good distance.
My sister’s Labrador loved it but only took a month to rip into it. Not a toy to leave them with, but a great outdoor fetch item.

Okay…. I am now on my second one of these kick fetch disasters… I say disaster because if you get this near my dog he goes absolutely CRAZY for it… like addicted, will do anything in the world to get it, run over babies and cats and not even regret it crazy for this thing. He loves that there are grooves for him to get his mouth really into it, and though he is giant, my med-large dog likes it too… when she can get near it. I wouldn’t really recommend playing soccer with your dog with this thing, my dog got quite a few kicks to the face (he didn’t even care lol ). I love every chuckit toy I have gotten for their durability and quality and this was not an exception. Love this toy, though now my dog is addicted to it.

First, I got the glow-in-the-dark ball. It glows pretty well. I think the white plastic (glowing part) tears more easily than the blue. I also left my dog alone with the first ball. Bad move. This thing is so great. If I accidentally kick it into my dog it won’t hurt him but it’s also stiff enough that it kicks similarly to a real soccer ball. It’s larger than I expected too (I bought the large size) which was a bonus. This is my dog’s new favorite toy. It just has to stay in the closet when not in use.
