Unhappy with Sams –
I bought 6 of these online once I discovered that Sam’s no longer carried Hormel because they are pushing their own brand. All six have Sam’s receiving label stating a date of 10/15/2016. Sam’s sent us a product that essentially sat in a warehouse for almost 9 months. While the sell by date is September 2017, 2 packages had so little air left in them and the color was wrong for bacon, that I threw them away. I recommend Hormel to everyone. I can’t recommend buying it from Sam’s.

This crumbled bacon is lean, crispy, and delicious. I’ve purchased different types but always come back to the Hormel brand. The product is great but that package, specifically the Ziploc needs fixed: it can be very difficult to open and breaks after only a couple times of opening and closing. If left open it will dry out.

I use this ‘Hormel Real Crumbled Bacon’ in many recipes while cooking. Who wants to cook bacon then crumble it? This is the best crumbled bacon I have found. Very little to no fat.
I can’t get this at my local grocery store, so I order it. That way I never run out!

Hormel Real Bacon Crumbles are a very good product that I have used for many years. Great in soups, stews, gravies, salads and more.
Sprinkle on soft boiled eggs with cheese for a delicious breakfast. I eat a lot of bacon and this is the quick version. Lasts for months in fridge, a little goes a long way. So much better than imitation bacon bits.

Sam’s used to sell name brand bacon bits and replaced them with Members Mark bacon bits which is full of rind and fat. I would have to microwave it before I used it because of all the fat.
I purchase this from Walmart.com since I can’t purchase it from Sams. Think that’s a little strange.

This beats all other real bacon bits or crumbles, hands down! Others are cheaper, but that’s because they are cooked less, therefore they are much fattier. You have to cook them down to become all meat like the Hormel brand. The label states that the 20 oz. bag equals 5 pounds of raw bacon

why this brand? It is leaner and has more bacon instead of alot of fat. We were buying from a membership store their bacon bits but over the past 18 months they have lost it with the quality control (well over 50% is now fat). We stopped buying there and saw this at Walmart. Night and day difference in taste and value. Highly recommended

The new software is very confusing, some items that are very basic like whip cream, can’t be picked up, only shipped. Shipping means you must watch the items to see if it is even available as a pickup. Many basic items are not for pickup. Mark no substitutions and you get substitution anyway. They are slow to indicate what items are missing and don’t tell you. You get home and items they said were in stock are just missing.
