Generally love this brand so very surprised at the quality of this product. Perhaps I just received a bad bottle, but it smells like milk-gone-bad. Sometimes unscented cleansers have an earthy smell, but this is beyond earthy. Hope it was just a bad batch!
Love Honest overall – aside from the smell my skin did feel quite clean afterwards!

So I wanna start by addressing the scent. Yes the scent is rough, but not any more than other things my dermatologist recommends. If you have a chronic skin condition like eczema, psoriasis, rosacea etc this won’t smell any worse than the stuff your dermatologist gives you. It’s not pleasant but perfectly tolerable.
I’ve been using cerave hydrating cleanser for 10 years and I don’t love it but it was the only thing that didn’t irritate my skin. I have moderate to severe chronic eczema so I can’t often try new things. My skin is on the dry-combo side, so I have dry cracking skin in some areas and acne in others. This cleanser feels amazing. It doesn’t dry out the dry areas but it also gives me that squeaky clean feeling in the oily spots. Within two days I saw a reduction in redness and acne. I’m sold!!

I wanted to like it, and I’m still going to using it because it does theme job, but the odor.. think used gym socks. I haven’t tried this product before so it may just smell like that or since I purchased it from Amazon something may have affected the odor while being stored in the warehouse but either way- it’s stanky. I will not buy again, next I’ll try the gel to milk cleanser from Honest next and hope that doesn’t smell…

This product did just as advertised: did not dry or irritate my sensitive skin. However there’s no fragrance, including masking fragrance, and it smells like urea. I thought my dog had peed on the bathroom rug the first time I used it. I even tried holding my breath, but after 3 uses it went in the trash.

It’s alright. But it leaves a film on my skin and I’ve started breaking out (never have before). I can’t prove that this is what’s causing it, but I haven’t changed any of my other beauty products. I really can’t say anything positive about this product other than it removes makeup and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped and tight

Comparable to Origins or Dermalogica. fragrance free I think, it smells like nothing really. Feels frothy and nice. Does not strip the skin at all. Can use manually or with spin brush. Ive had no ‘new product’ breakout, transitioned to this from dermalogica special cleansing gel. Great product, Jessica is doing a good job creating a quality product with an AFFORDABLE price tag, okay!? Im saving money and getting the same results as other mentioned brands.

I’ve been trying to find more products that are “cleaner” and safer for my skin. I love how this makes my skin feel during and after washing, but the smell is really hard to get past. It literally smells like sour milk! Blech!

This is a great cleanser for my sensitive skin. My face feels clean and smooth without any harsh chemicals that leave it feeling dry or burning. Some people don’t like the scent, and while it isn’t the best (I would compare it to an oat smell), I much prefer it to any stronger fragrance. I follow it with the hydrogel cream and my face feels so clean and soft! Since I have been using this combination of cleanser and moisturizer I have definitely noticed my face stays clearer (I struggle with hormonal acne) and smoother. Very happy!
