In all honesty, it seems fine, but a wallet is a long term item, and the proof will be if it stands up. In its favour is a great guarantee, but that also is something that only proves out in time . . .my recomendation is go for it, it is a nice wallet

I purchased this wallet for a grandson who will be getting his driver’s license in a few months. I am very pleased with the quality and the wallet arrived the day after it was ordered!

Bought it for my son, he likes it and says it’s quite nice! Haven’t had it long enough to really speak to durability, though it seems quite well made. Very happy for a great vegan wallet!

Wish it was personalized but my vegan boyfriend likes it. Though he says he likes it, “it’s just a wallet”.

I was particularly looking for a new wallet as the old one was falling apart. My wife and I are vegan, so it was important to try and find a nice, durable wallet that was not leather. I liked the 3-fold style of this one and the colour options were also nice – I went for the blue as it is my favourite colour. So far, I am very happy with my purchase – it seems to be a very quality product and I am confident it will be in use for a long time!

I’m very picky, and I don’t say ‘above average’ lightly or often (sadly). This wallet is definitely above average compared to others I’ve looked at, especially for a non-leather wallet. The sewing was done extremely well, no lose ends or sloppy seams. The wallet has been made in a way that has a natural closed position, rather than having to try and bend and fight with it to fold and keep it closed. This is particularly important as this isn’t leather, and based on looking at the synthetic material, it doesn’t look like it will stretch or mold into a new shape like leather does over time (or maybe it will, time will tell). It is also carefully, and unusually nicely, packaged.

Though the synthetic material doesn’t feel like leather (even less so because of the appearance/pattern I chose), it has a decent feel to it. I did have some reservations about the flexibility (bending) and stretching, before ordering, but it has impressed me more than expected. As for longevity, that is my only remaining concern, but it has a lifetime warranty, so I’m not concerned. I look forward to seeing how much it molds and stretches to the way I use and carry it (as a leather wallet would). I definitely recommend this ‘vegan leather’ wallet, and will update my review as time passes with it.

Update: RFID Blocking Test:

I tested the RFID blocking by having nothing but a single VISA card in the wallet, in a slot closest to the outside of the wallet, and the wallet closed (as it would normally be in a pocket). I tried three different tap terminals (all different stores), moving the wallet around, against, and all over the tap area of the terminal. At two of the terminals, it was as if the card wasn’t there. At one of the terminals, after trying for quite a few seconds, the terminal responded, but displayed a message that said processing error. Going online to check my VISA, it showed the pending charge (as well as a second identical pending charge, because I paid for the item normally with the same card, after the store reset the tap terminal to receive payment again). A couple days later, the duplicate charge was gone from my VISA account, I gather because after VISA did their follow-up processing, the one from the wallet (that had an error) was considered invalid, though I also wonder if they simply detected two identical charges made within a minute of each other, and as a general rule, consider one to be be a mistake (even though it was a successful charge).

The fact is, it did read the card (through the properly closed wallet) enough to get my VISA number/info and have the charge appear on my account, but I had to work at it to get that to happen, wallet touching the terminal, and moving it all over the terminal for several seconds before that happened, totally unlike normal (i.e. card only, no wallet) where the tap is read instantly at 5cm from the terminal. And my other two attempts at two other terminals/stores did not detect the card at all.

My Conclusion: It’s not complete RFID blocking, but seems fairly close, and is hopefully enough to stop those thieves with mobile card info scanners (VISA told me thieves can grab the card info from over a metre away, while walking behind you, passing on an escalator, etc). As for me, I’m going to continue to use my RFID blocking (interference) cards in this new wallet as well, as I’ve tried those and they work but only when it is almost against and fairly aligned with the card (they don’t work nearly as well as claimed).

And overall… if I was only going to use one method/device, I would choose this wallet – because for real life use it tests and works about as well as the blocking cards, and because it covers everything anywhere inside it (rather than only what a blocking card is well aligned with and almost against). Neither seems to be absolute protection, but close.

I love this wallet. First of all, it’s vegan. Not that I’m going to eat it or anything, but it’s nice to know that no animals had to die to make this wallet. It’s also very very nicely made. It has a nice feel and looks expensive. I highly recommend this product.
