I like this product when I first put it on. It looks nice and hardens well. However it only lasts about a week before chipping. It goes on very thick which I think is the problem. It’s hard to get a thin coat. The manufacturer suggests warming it up in your hands by rolling it but that doesn’t make much of a difference. They also say they design it thick on purpose so it’s easier to apply- but thick coats do not last long with gel polish. I’ve tried tweaking how I apply (coating the tips/edge of nail, adjusting the cure time, adjusting number of coats, etc) but with the same results. If you don’t mind reapplying weekly then this product would be fine. I’d rather have something that will last 2-3 weeks. Won’t be repurchasing.

The set comes with all the colors shown on nail samples, 1 base coat and 2 top coats (1 regular/glossy and 1 matte).
Obvi, you need a lamp.
If you are just starting out with gell polish, make sure you also get a nail dehydrator and primer too. Some think it’s unnecessary and perhaps that’s true, but it’s a quick step and the gel polish will last longer. Less likely to easily peel off.

Colors are gorgeous. Lighter colors are easier to apply due to their lightness. The darker the color the more careful you have to be applying. I find this with every nail polish so this in not a negative. Prep your nails, take your time, lightly prep your nail bed, clean up your edges and cuticles and keep the product off your skin and you will love the finished look. Just a personal thing I do…I keep the the product close to the cuticle line but not on it. I have found going close but not right on the cuticle looks great and extends the longevity of the well polished look. When changing your colors TAKE YOUR TIME. Don’t peel the layers off. Soak or steam the layers off. These are gels and you want to protect your nail beds. This produce adheres and will take a layer of your nail off if you don’t remove it correctly. This product stays on well when done right. I have gone as long as three weeks before changing out the color. I now have well over 50 colors and I want more!
Do not wanna list –
If I had known that the polishes were only .5ml I would have not ordered. Very deceptive especially as the size is no where to be seen. That said this is my ultimate gel polish, I love that they are odorless but not worth 28.. especially as most of the colors I recieved do not match what I ordered. My niece’s are leat than thrilled to only be able to get 2 sets if even that per bottle.

Wow, really?!?!?!? Could the bottle be any smaller? How much did I pay for this?!?!?!? The base and top coat are normal size but the polish is ridiculously small. Waaaay overpriced for what you get…….what a rip off. Seriously thinking about returning….and will definitely never buy beetles brand again. Quality of product on Amazon has really declined…its turning into Wish with faster shipping.

Sure would be helpful to actually know what color the polish is without having to open every bottle every time I want to polish my nails. Oh my! This is torturous.

This might be my second time writing a review on a product, after buying dozens of products on amazon. I have been very pleased with many, but never really share my feedback. For this particular product and generally, it occurred to me that I have benefitted so much from the reviews of others…so I decided to share my feedback.
Here goes;
What I like: I received everything as described. sometimes with gel nail polish they look a lot different in the bottle than on colour swatches;this was not the case. I am not a professional, so I like the fact that they provided a set of detailed instructions. If you follow the instructions and you know how to apply regular nail polish well, you should be good.
The image above was taken immediately after the application, it appears slightly messy, but I have since cleaned up the edges and it looks good. I have worn gel polish before that starts cracking after a few days and thats very obvious on light colours, such as the one pictured , so I will give a further update to show how it wears over time. but, so far, so good.

I am begging anyone who reads this review. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS POLISH! PLEASE DONT! It caused chemical burns and blisters for me, my sister and my two sisters in law!!! I have been doing my nails at home with arte clavo for years and have never had a reaction! Then I decide to buy the Beetles polish because they have super cute colors and I use it for a month and now I have been having these horrible feeling and painful fingers for nine months and so have my sisters who all developed the reaction from this polish too!!!! At first it was fine, then I felt a little itchy after doing my nails and then all of a sudden I had millions of tiny blisters under my skin that itched and burned like nothing I had ever felt. Then after three weeks of the burning and itching the blisters dried up and my skin started to peel leaving behind raw and painful red skin that would then dry and crack. I ended up going to the dermatologist three times for creams and injections in my hands to heal what the Beetles polish has done to me. I have had more than ten rounds of blistering, peeling and then healing because i didn’t know that it was the beetles polish and it has wrecked me. My hands are everything to me because I have two young children and I couldn’t even change their diaper without crying from the pain! DO NOT BUY THIS POLISH!! PLEASE!!!! If you have had an allergic reaction or you just don’t want to develop one then try Modelones or UR Sugar. Those are the only ones that my sisters and I are able to use now without developing blisters!
