I never write product reviews but this brand of polish is amazing. Picture shown is one week after application. No cracks or chips. Only thing is the top coat has lost some shine. But I have scrubbed dishes, scrubbed bathroom tile and performed multiple heavy duty tasks with my hands. And this polish continues to hold up. I stopped getting professional gel manicures because they would always crack or lift away from my cuticles only days after. These stuff stays put and super easy to use for someone with little or no experience (like me!).

Tips:
1.) Cure a whole 120 seconds between coats. Yes it takes longer, but you won’t have to worry about the polish smudging off or bubbling. Patience is key!
2.) Take the time to buff the hell out of your nail to rough it up. I also used rubbing alcohol to remove excess oil on the nail before applying the base coat
3.) Thin coats are your best friend. You really don’t need alot of polish to cover your nail, unless your nails are super long
4.) If you have polish on the edges or creases of your nail, wait until top coat is applied and cured. You can file down the edges of your nail for a clean finish

I already ordered another set of polishes and can’t wait to try them all!

1/13/21-As for right now I give this 5 stars! First of all it was delivered really fast. When it came, everything that was supposed to be there was in the box, only thing was one of the polished had leaked slightly, but it wasn’t bad and nothing a little polish remover couldn’t take care of.

So let me just say, this kit is NICE. Especially for the price. The quality of the products is way better than I was anticipating, and it was all very easy to use. (This coming from someone who is honestly relatively good at doing her own nails) The kit came with two little pamphlets on using the products the right way and using the LED lamp properly and efficiently. What was really helpful and insightful was the Q&A in one that had questions about when your manicure doesn’t come out right, read it first so you know what to do and not to do in those cases.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase and time will tell how long the manicure lasts!!!

UPDATE 2/11/21: I have changed my rating to 3 stars. I have done a few manicures on myself over the past month of having this kit and honestly- it just doesn’t last. Manicures will last a week, AT MOST. The pedicure I did has lasted weeks, but not manicures. After about 4 or 5 days, the polish starts peeling away from the nail around the cuticle area. So all in all, this kit is great for very temporary gel manicure, and looks great for the first few days. But length of wear just doesn’t last unfortunately.

I was hesitant to purchase this kit because I’ve never done a true gel manicure at home before, but I’m so glad I did. I love having my nails done but can’t afford to go to the nail salon every couple of weeks, and regular polishes chip so quickly on me it’s almost a waste of time. I decided to buy this kit when it was on a daily deal and chose the options with the grey polishes. I properly prepped my nails and followed the steps using the base coat, light, 2-3 coats of polish, light, and top coat, light. I would say I probably used the light for about 2 minutes for each coat just to make sure it really cured. My nails were dry, cured hard, and looking great. The first attempt lasted 10 days before one nail chipped (and that was only because I let some of the polish get on the cuticle so it was bound to peel) and the rest of the nails lasted two weeks. I removed the polish and did another manicure and am currently at 10 days without a single chip – they basically look like they were just done except for the nail growth. I’m so happy I’m already picking out more color sets of the same Beetles gel polish.

I really was pleased with my new Beetles Nail Polish Starter Kit. The polishes were a good size, beautiful colors and easy to use. I usually have a very difficult time keeping nail polish on my nails but the Beetles Gel Polish stays on. My new gel nails give me a professional look while working in an office atmosphere. The ability to maintain them at home allows me extra time for a busy woman on the go. They dry immediately so I don’t have to waste a lot of time sitting and waiting. Also having the bonus bag of tools and vitamins & nourishing nail pen were the perfect set to place in the Starter Kit. This is a product I would highly recommend to others.

This is my first UV cure gel polish kit and I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner! As soon as I received, I immediately tried 5 of the 6 included colors and they are gorgeous!! I did have to do two coats of the lightest pink for coverage and cured each coat for 60 seconds per the included instructions. I’m so pleased with everything else included. I will update later on how long it lasts but goodbye smudged, regular polish, lasts one day manicures forever!
