This is such an excellent game to play with friends who are into more narrative games. This is sort of a Die Hard movie that you play. I bought a copy and of course my friend in another state can log on and play with me without needing her own copy, though she did need to download a “demo” before we could play together. We finished the game in I believe two 5 hour sessions. Of course that’s fairly short, but I could definitely see myself picking it up with another friend down the road so I wouldn’t worry about the length.

Basically, we each played as one of two characters in a ’70s crime thriller. There are ridiculous car chases and action sequences that defy the laws of reality, just like any good action movie! There is a good variety of game play mechanics introduced, and none of them are actually hard, making this a perfect game to play with, say, my sister who’s not a serious gamer. The two characters have different personalities and motives, and their stories have collided in such an interesting way. They also interact with characters and the environment in different ways.

The game is designed to be split screen, so if my friend plays in the same room as me or online (as we did) my TV still shows both characters. This is put to great narrative effect when one side of the screen grows and dwarfs the other as that character’s story arc takes center stage for a time. The pacing was really good, I loved the writing, and there were several unique and enjoyable moments that my friend and I got to experience together. I really loved this game!

If you are not already aware, the same director also made a game called Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons which is single player. I wouldn’t call them similar games, per se, but if you enjoy this game or even just think it’s interesting then you should absolutely check that one out as well.

Played couch coop with my cousin and it was worth the cost. We spent about 8 hours on it because we kept screwing up in a few parts. Story was pretty good, ending was a bit of a shocker. 9/10, wish it was a little longer and in depth but the price makes up for it.

I enjoyed playing this with my son as it was interesting and mindless enough to not be too stimulating but to also enjoyable enough for spending time with someone. There was a decent amount of profanity that was absolutely not necessary as is usually the case and the biggest qualm I have with this industry but if your children are disciplined and desensitized enough to take it in stride- go for this! For $7.50 it is great value- I would almost spend $20 for this as it is pretty immersive, exhilarating fun for a rare co-op experience for two player couch fun. We need more co-op games!

I got this to play with my boyfriend. He’s a big time gamer so a game made just for two players is right up our alley. I was concerned that I would ruin the experience because I’m not as good at games as he is, but the story of the game and the interaction makes it interesting and still easy enough for players like me that aren’t big time into games. You only have to buy the game once and both players can okay on line or next to each other. Minus one star because we had issues getting the game started. We had to uninstall and reinstall on both consoles before it would work properly.

It’s really cool that you can play the game local or online with only one copy. It works out well as there are different alternatives to take.

Ending pissed me off but that’s just me 🙂

This is one of the best co-op experience I have played in a long time. It’s not a fully polished game and has it’s issues but it’s only 30 bucks and a fun time waster. The ending is a little disappointing but u would recommend anyone to play it with a friend. Well worth my time.
