Plugged it in and automatically booted up and showed my screen within a few seconds. The screen finish (not glossy) and size is perfect for my laptop. I travel a bit for work, so I needed something thin and durable. I’m glad I went with this. If you’re reading the reviews, you’ve found your portable monitor. I could not be happier with this purchase.

I had been eyeing this model for a while, and found it greatly discounted on Prime Day (I subbed to Prime to just to get this deal).
The packaging was very nice and protective. Also included were 3 cables, a power brick (similar in size to what you’d have for a cellphone), the folding carry case/stand, and even a screen protector. You have to install the screen protector yourself, but it was nice to have it included.
The monitor itself is very slim and easily fits into my laptop case. I don’t even need to carry the power brick that came with it, because the screen powers on via my PC’s USB-C port. Very convenient!
The screen is as vibrant as my newer Dell laptop’s screen (Inspiron). I ran a few dead or stuck pixel tests found on YouTube and it passed with no problems.
The controls include a multifunction rocker and button switch which makes it easy to make screen adjustments, such as brightness. The on-board speakers are decent, but not as good as those in my 17″ laptop. If you have a very compact laptop, the speakers in the KYY may actually be better.
The included headphone jack is appreciated, although most laptops still have such a jack. If you have a newer Samsung phone this will be important to know.
I’m not a big gamer, but I tries just a little FPS gaming to check the response rate and to see if there was any ghosting. It looked very good. My main use is for productivity. Just having another screen to open up a web browser or office document does wonders for getting work done.
You can’t connect a full-size HDMI connector, That’s the only downside, but that’s understandable due to the frame’s thinness. Just use the included HDM-to mini-HDMI cable.
I will update this review if needed in the future, and I hope that I won’t need to use the 12 month warranty. So far, this has been a great purchase for my needs.

After several months of usage and frustration due to one major flaw, I decided to return and provide an update to my initial review. I bought this unit to take with me on the road, which means that I’m setting it up and packing it in my computer case quite often. I think that’s a normal use-case for something called a “Portable Monitor.”
I find that the screen is fairly dim, but that’s not the source of my frustration, because turning up the brightness usually makes it useable. The problem is that every time you remove power (like each time you’re packing up), the monitor loses all of its settings. This means you have to tweak the settings (like the brightness) each and every time you set it up. A monitor that is marketed as “Portable” should retain all of its settings upon removal from the power source. Disappointing!

Connections: The monitor comes with a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable that works great with a PS4. The USB-A to USB-C cable works great to power the monitor, even directly from an PS4 USB-A port (or via the included USB power block). The package also includes a USB-C to USB-C cable that works great with my MacBook Pro.
Quality: The monitor starts up as soon as it is powered with a quick KYY logo and then the video feed. If you are used to an iPad, you will be struck how this looks and feels like a widescreen version of an iPad Pro. The 1080p image is bright and colorful, working well with gameplay. The sound is crisp and full. It actually sounds better than our larger monitors! The magnetic monitor cover and stand reminds me of an iPad cover. It has a nice texture and is completely removable via the magnetic attachments. It took a few tries to figure out the right folding patterns to use it as a stand, but the instruction booklet helped.
So far, we are very impressed with this monitor and would have expected a much higher price for the quality and accessories.

I move around and travel quite a bit, both for work and, before COVID ruined everything, for fighting game tournaments. It’s easy enough to toss a PS4 into a backpack or duffel bag, but a monitor, not so much. This thing serves its purpose as both a hotel room practice setup and a spare monitor for less popular games at local events admirably. You can also pair it with a laptop to have a portable dual-monitor setup, in the event that a small portable screen is a bit too crowded for the work you’re doing on the go.
It’s a bit pricey for a tiny screen, but it has both built in sound (roughly laptop quality) and an audio port for headphones/external speakers. Importantly, it comes with all the cables you need right out of the box, since not everyone has moved to USB-C and the mini-HDMI it uses isn’t exactly a common format.
I don’t have an exact measurement for input lag, but it’s better than a TV at the very least. Overall, if you’re looking for an HDMI or USB-C monitor you can safely stick in your carry-on for whatever reason, this should probably be among your top choices.

Working from home full time required the need to have additional monitors to be more effective in my workflow. I have a limited amount of space on my desk, and really wanted to put a portable monitor in front of an existing monitor, and the KYY monitor fit the bill perfectly, leaving enough room for my mechanical keyboard and wrist wrest. I am using a tablet stand to hold up the monitor vs. the included cover as I have a very small space to work with. The cover works great to protect the screen, and if you plan on taking this monitor with you.
I was happy with the color and sharpness of the display, and more importantly, this portable monitor had all of the ports on the right side of the display, which worked best for my situation. Some of the other portable monitors I was looking at had ports on both side, which would not fit my needs. Your needs may vary, so this might not be important too you. I didn’t notice any dead pixels, and the build quality was very good for its price point.
I am not a big fan of the single button/swivel function for all OSD functionality, but once you get used to it, it works fine.
The display brightness fits well within my setup (300 nits is more than enough for an indoor screen in my opinion) and matches the brightness level of the MacBook Pro I use for work.
I purchased this on a lightning deal, but would not hesitate to buy it its regular price.
My only wishes would be for some vesa mounting capabilities.

Firstly this exceeded my expectations. Definitely looks more expensive than what I paid for. It comes with all the accessories you need. The screen has a metallic surround which makes it very elegant. High recommended this device. Perfect for work for home if you want to screen something to a bigger screen
