I haven’t put it into use yet but it seems good. One of the features that made me choose this pack was the “hard shelled safe zone” which seems to just be a small sheet of stiff foam in the top zipper cover. It’s nothing that will protect something breakable from the contents of the back pack if it were to get tipped, tossed, kicked etc. It may help if something fell from the sky as you were wearing it but that’s about it. I think calling it hard shelled is a bit misleading.

I ordered this bag for my 17 year old son. He was lugging around a laptop bag and a backpack pretty much everywhere he went. As the other bags needed updating I purchased this hoping he could fit it all in to one. All of his electronics ie. digital draw pad, laptop, and all of his daily school supplies fit with room to spare. The bag is very sturdy and I am very pleased with its quality. The backpack is exactly as described.

The cable connection ripped out from the rivet in 90-days. They use cheap aluminum to connect the cable to the river, so the strongest piece is actually the weakest….
Update: there apparently is no way to contact Kroser for support so I Hereford would not recommend this for anyone who uses a backpack daily.

Upon the first inspection of the bag it looks and feels well made, the zips feel of good quality and so does the material the bag is constructed from. In the inspection I noticed the tread had started to come out of one of the shoulder straps, enough for the fabric to pull away from the strap. I noticed also that the stitching which attaches the shoulder strap to the bottom of the bag was also threading. After reading the great reviews of thos bag I am going to put it down to being a faulty item. I have returned it and purchased another one in hope it comes with no faults. Overall the bag is well designed and seems to be made from l good quality material. Once I have recieved my other bag I ordered I will amend my review.

    **UPDATE**
The new bag arrived last week. It came with no faults like the previous bag. Iv been using it for a week now and It’s very comfortable and can fit alot into it. It had lots of different compartments which is convenient. The zips seem to be strong and the material feels hard wearing. A very good high quality bag. I highly recommend it.

    **UPDATE**
04/01/2021 The bag is still in perfect working order. I use it everyday and give it alot of use. A wipe when it gets abit dirty and it looks new again. All the zips are still in perfect working order. No rips, no scuffs, no threads have come out. I am very very impressed with this bag. Very very well made.

I bought this thinking I would replace an aging Swissgear bag. Right out of the box, there were obvious signs of poor to non-existent quality control. See photos.

There is no laptop pouch to speak of, no way to strap anything into a pocket, just a large, gaping compartment.

The advertised “protective” pouch for sunglasses isn’t hard sided or protective. Furthermore, it’s less than half an inch deep on this bag. Likely due to the aforementioned lack of quality control.

Save your money and time. This isn’t a good bag at any price.

Ordered a few different bag types for work use for my wife and I and for school use for my son. I had never heard of this brand before but figured I’d give them A shot based on the reviews and price point. This bag has tons of space and pockets and looks to work well for students or travel. It has plenty of room for a laptop, binders , phone, pens, pencil and just about any other items I need to cart around with me on a given day. Where this bag goes wrong versus the other two I bought, is that the zippers stick. I have to fight to get the primary zipper open, and I cna guarentee complete failure of it very soon, it’s that difficult to move. I have checked for any debris or stitching issued that would bind it, but can’t find anything. My guess is that it’s a manufacturing defect, and possibly some quality control issues. 2 out of 3 bags are great. This one I likely won’t use.

Durable material but cheap zippers. Had one snap on the first day out. Would recommend not purchasing, until the manufacturer upgrades to steel verses cast metal.

I bought this backpack to use for University as my previous one broke a few months ago. I spent a long time looking for the perfect backpack with the perfect amount and types of compattments before I finally found this one.

Make no mistake, this backpack is quite large (especially compared to my previous High Sierra backpack).

The material feels reasonably premium and whilst I believe it will easily last me a couple of years, I can’t be certain it will necessarily last much longer than that.

The fact that the backpack has both mesh bottle holders and zipped side pockets is great as I can easily store my drinks bottle along with bags for life (for my student shops) in a convenient area that allows me access without having to remove the backpack from my shoulders.

I have not used the powerbank charging port pass-through but I do have mild concerns regarding how hot the bag enclosure will condition an in-use powerbank to operate.

It is worth noting that the bag does come with 1 year warranty as stated by a tag that I received with the item.

In conclusion, this price is perfect for me especially for the £36.99 price tag I paid for it. It is much cheaper than a similar Samsonite or High Sierra backpack (with metal zippers!) whilst packing far more compartments and usability.

Wow. I found a backpack that has enough pockets, enough capacity, meets all my criteria and is still a manageable size! I needed to replace my Osprey Farpoint 40 because I broke a zip and to be honest, this is less cumbersome and more usable. It has fewer straps dangling around, it stands up when it’s put down instead of falling over and it has enough pockets for my daily trips to the work and gym including towel, gym kit, snacks, drinks bottles, medication and all the stuff I want to keep on me but might not necessarily need. The main compartment is a decent size, the ‘laptop’ area actually gets my gym kit, and it has enough small pockets with sensible divisions to keep all my other stuff properly organised. The only change I would make would be to have a slightly bigger top pocket but that’s because I want to keep my keys, wallet, phone and sunglasses in there. I’l get over it!

I needed a large bag for my ancient 17” HP dv7 laptop and assorted equipment and this bag fit the bill perfectly. I was looking at purchasing a Swiss Gear bag but stumbled upon this Kroser bag as a Lightning Deal and I am extremely happy to say I do not regret purchasing it. Let me say, this bag is absolutely incredible – especially when you consider the fact it cost less than $35 on sale.

The bag is extremely well built – it’s made of the heavy duty “ballistic-type” fabric that can take a beating whether you’re hiking or commuting to work or school. It is extremely spacious with a multitude of pockets. My laptop measures almost 16.5” and fits easily in the bag: I’d say there’s an extra 1.25” or so of space for the laptop corners to fit easily. The laptop compartment itself is 2.5” wide at the bottom, so you can carry a laptop and a thin book or sketch pad, and there’s also a pocket for a tablet or thin monitor up to 11.5”x15” or so.

As for the rest of the bag, there’s a hardshell pocket at the top by the carrying handle with soft material for sunglasses, another wide compartment measuring 5.5” deep with a zippered pocket and a large pocket where you can add folders and such and it also has a Type-A male USB cable that runs to an external connector. Another compartment has a multitude of smaller pockets including RFID slots as well as a quick-detach key ring holder. There’s a smaller, zippered compartment at the very front of the bag that has a pocket as well. Finally, there are external, tall, zippered pockets where you can store tall water bottles or a foldable umbrella – each side also has mesh pockets.

The carrying handle at the top is bolted to the bag and is composed of a steel cable and is heavily padded. The shoulder straps are very wide and extremely well padded, which will make carrying a heavy bag a lot less painful. There is also a well-padded zippered pocket at the bottom rear of the bag that will sit comfortably against your lower back.

This is a very well made bag that measures up very well against more expensive bags and I highly recommend it. As a Lightning Deal, it was ½ the price of a comparable Swiss Gear bag and it was simply a no-brainer to purchase it.

Not had time to use the bag properly yet (for the likes of testing comfort/water resistance etc.), but my lord is it spacious! It has many compartments to store things in, one of my favourites being the one on top as it is perfect for storing glasses or other quick access items!

The bag itself feels really sturdy and feels like it can handle a lot of weight which is a bonus!

You can begin to see how much space is in the main compartment of the bag in my photo, where you can see it holding some of my airsoft gear, with plenty more room to fill!

Overall I am very satisifed with the bag as of now – I will update if I have a change of mind after a bit of use, but I doubt I will be needing to if I’m honest!

Now where do I start with this bag, I have searched for a backpack for a few months. I work away for 3 weeks at a time so I need something that can carry all my items including valuables, passport, 17in laptop etc.

First I bought the north face boralias backpack, decent enough backpack with plenty of little compartments and zip bits for valuables but didn’t fit my 17in laptop so unfortunately I had to return it.

Next I went for the Berghaus twentyfourseven Plus 30 rucksack, very disappointing!! Only just fitted my laptop bit the corners of the laptop was hard against the top corners of the bag with no padding leaving the laptop vulnerable. no nice little compartments for valuables and not enough room.

So after reading reviews I went with this one, wasn’t holding much hope considering it’s one of the cheaper end bags on the market.

I couldn’t be more wrong, the quality feels much better. My laptop fits in no problem with plenty of padding, a few nice compartments for phones, keys, wallets and a little bit for pens and stuff.

I’m really happy with this purchase I really wasn’t expecting it. Sitting side by side on my kitchen table next to the berghaus one before it gets returned tomorrow and it’s like night and day! Just hope the bag with stands a bit of travelling which I’m sure it will.

So far would give this 6 stars if I could!

I have a Acer G792 17.3″ and a MSI G71 17″, both of which are too large for this backpack, so be careful as to what size your laptop is. I knew the Acer was iffy as it is larger than the G71, but the G71 is a pretty standard and should theoretically have fit. If you have a larger 17″ laptop, it’s not going to fit. This backpack looks like it would fit a 15″ and a very thin 17″.
