After returning 2 times for the same issue, I can’t recommend this giant piece of garbage. The HDMI port didn’t work on either and it seems it’s one of the first to stop working in all of the real reviews on here.

Because of the pandemic, I have been working remotely 100% but now that things are slowly returning to normal, I go into the office a couple of times a week. Since I am still working from home sometimes, I have a bunch of cables that I need to plug into my work laptop every time I get home. Power, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. This little device saved me from having to plug 4 cables each time to just having to plug in 1 usb c cable.
As a bonus, I tried this out with my Chromebook and it also works! Monitor, keyboard, mouse all works and it also charges the Chromebook. I also tested it out on my Samsung Note 9 to see if DEX would work but it does not but I was not expecting it to.

This is great for my M1 Mac Mini and it works great for that! I have my keyboard, mouse, and monitor all connected and it works great! The Mac Mini simply doesn’t come with enough ports for room for anything else if it has both a wired keyboard and mouse. It also works seamlessly for plugging into my Windows laptop whenever I want to use it with an extra bigger screen and a real mouse and keyboard. It does get a little warm to the touch when a monitor is plugged. I like the metallic look of it (be aware it is plastic though), it almost matches the look of the metal of the Mac, though it is a little darker looking in comparison.
when I turned my Mac back on from sleep, the screen wouldn’t turn back on, even though the Mac was back on and the keyboard and mouse were clearly still working. (Keyboard and Mouse worked to wake through the hub.) Other times, I would turn it back on and the entire screen had a lime-green tint. Both issues went away after unplugging and plugging back in each time they were an issue. I didn’t experience this with my Windows laptop, so it might just be a Mac issue.
Overall, a nice, cheap USB-C hub and would recommend to anyone looking to add a monitor or a few fast USB ports to their laptop or Mac.

Loved the compact size, great for throwing in a bag with a laptop. Weighs almost nothing but has every kind of port I need.

I am LOVING this little thing. I ordered it for my new Mac which only has USB-C / Thunderbolt ports as I knew I would need to plug in all my legacy USB-A devices from time to time. I ended up using it at work as well where I found myself working on servers with USB-C for video and any mouse and keyboard connections would have to be made at the front of the unit where the USB-A ports are located leaving me with stretched out cables and not enough room.
This little guy did the trick there too! It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it with no complaints. It doesn’t slow down the USB 3.2 speeds either. I am utterly amazed. I haven’t tried the SD reader yet but everything is phenomenal. Don’t be scared by its light weight either. It is light, silent, and has stayed cool whenever I used it.
Great job, AorZ!

The build quality is very nice and so is the general functionality but I dropped 2 stars (was torn between a 3 and 4 star review) because while they say it’s good for 4K that is not necessarily true. Yes it will do a 4K display but no it’s not acceptable at 4K. The output only supports 30hz so the mouse movement @ 4K looks like stop motion or a flipbook. It’s not a fluid smooth movement. If you are using a 4K display the mouse cursor movement will look terrible and feel like it’s jumping across the screen instead of gliding.
I tested this on one of the best MacBook Pros on the market as well as my Chromebook. Both drive my 4K display perfectly when connected using a USB-C to HDMI cable but the moment this hub is introduced the mouse cursor becomes an old stop motion video. It’s very noticeable and is absolutely unacceptable to advertise 4K support when it’s not handling the 4K properly.
Yes it will work on a 4K monitor and Yes the mouse movement will give you a headache. 1440p and 1080p is perfect with this thing (tested both) but at 4K it’s unusable hence my 2 stars removed.
Yes I will acknowledge that I should have read the specs more closely but when something is advertised for 4K you expect it to work AND perform. It works but does not perform. Great price for the product of you’re running 1440p or 1080p but I highly advise you look for a more expensive model that supports 4k@60hz (5gbps aka 5,000ish Mbps is not gonna support the full 60hz).

Delightful USBC port extender with multiple additional ports & memory, etc.
This device is an answer to a dire need when you receive your new Chromebook with only1 USB-C port (for charging, & everything else)! The physical & electronic & firmware design are a delight, along with no hiccups in being recognized by full-featured PNPlay. I was delighted when my high-def display monitor was connected via this “extender” to the Chromebook … Wow! Definitely would purchase another when the next need arises.

When I opened the box I was surprised how small it is, im able to hide it easily. I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro and plugged in my external mouse, keyboard, and headset and it works perfectly, which is surprising (they all have rgb lights and I didn’t know if it would be able to handle all that). I got it on sale and before it had many reviews so I took the chance but I would definitely purchase another one for my desktop. I bought another usb hub on here that was more expensive, but it started cutting in and out when I had more than 3 things plugged into it, so for this one to be cheaper and work perfect, I’d give it an A++!
