I’ve got skills in graphic design and I even draw up my own designs. This tablet helped build both of those skills for me rather than using just a mouse. I am ambidextrous and this tablet easily gives me the ability to switch over the place of the buttons when I want to duo a mouse and drawing pen. The tablet itself feels very well put together. My favorite is the laminated screen that prevents me from having to press down hard and making scratches. However, when working sometimes, the use of the cords can become a clutter sometimes and its hard having to find a USB-C in-store that will fit in the tiny plug-in on the tablet. I’ll buy that cord from HUION at some point. Overall, this tablet has been best thing for me when it comes to bringing my artwork to digital life.

Only had this for about 4 hours and I’m impressed and excited to see where this device takes me, or I take it. Adobe nut since photoshop 1 – used to use a rollerball mouse without layers to draw in high school about 30 years ago. From there to here – I’m finally living in the future I dreamed of. I’ve played around with friends’ $3000 Cintiqs and to be able to access this tech for about $200 is just amazing. Okay, granted I’m on a mid 2015 MacBook Pro which has perfectly placed usb and hdmi (saw another harsh one star review – dude check your tech before you buy stuff!) but this thing is just great.
Tips:
Photoshop – turn off “smoothing” to get rid of lag.
Autodesk Sketchbook : play around to find the best settings but lag seems to be way less of an issue – what an amazing free application!!!!
Also, packaging, build quality, usability are all just plain awesome. I only hesitate to give it 5 stars because I haven’t used a current Wacom and I know they deserve some credit for pioneering this whole concept.
Pick one up – you won’t be disappointed – if you just do some research to make sure your tech is compatible.
Also, with MacBook Pro the Huion can be powered without plugging in second usb to power plug as was needed with the Pro 13” from a year or two back

I like this alot. I have a wacom paper large and wanted to try this after 4 or 5 years of using that device. I like this a little better its portable pen is nice. Shows good screen and cord seems very well built. Easy install of drivers works with autosketch pro. So far so good!!! Will update with art soon if I remember lol.

I love the hell out of my pad. It is really easy to plug in and configure, and is really precise in writing where I intend to write.
I have a mac with a second screen and this is plugged in as a 3rd screen, and you can get it to even mirror another monitor so that you can write on it and see your work on a bigger screen. It is nice as I can flip back and forth between looking at it or looking at my big monitor as I work.
You can do this by going to settings->displays and hold down option and drag one display on top of another. The HuionTablet app will be needed to map out which display it targets for writing.

Disappointed with this product. I was really excited to try it and see where it could take me from a graphic design perspective, but I had so many problems from the start with this that I returned it. This tablet was hard to set up with my laptop and never was able to receive a signal. The cords were all connected together which made it hard to connect to ports on opposite sides of my computer. Make sure you have two available USB ports and an HDMI port because you will need all three to connect the device.
Standard USB-C cords do not work with this, as the ports are pushed into the tablet casing and require an extended, thin USB-C to reach. You have to buy Huion cords to make sure they are longer and can fit into the ports on the tablet.

It’s doesn’t work without a computer….

I got this tablet when a previous one wouldn’t work with my Mac Mini any more. This is the first tablet I’ve gotten with a display built in, and it makes drawing a LOT easier than looking at a screen and drawing where you’re not looking. The documentation is a little confusing, so I’ll clear it up: you only need one cable, from the tablet to the Mac’s Thunderbolt port. It just plugs and plays.
My only complaint is that the USB 3.1 cable port on the tablet is recessed, and while Huion’s extra-cost USB 3.1 cable fits, it’s only 3 feet long. I bought a 6-foot cable from another maker and it wouldn’t physically fit into the opening. After a little surgery with a Dremel, it fit and worked, but I still count this as a design flaw in the tablet.
That minor annoyance aside, it’s a great tablet that works well and makes working with one a lot easier. Recommended.
