Got this instead of CFexpress card for A7Siii hoping it would be able to record at least 60fps 4K slomo@24 but it didn’t work.

If you want to use this and don’t intend to record anything above 30fps 4k slomo@24 you will be fine.

Going to take the hit and get the sony CFexpress card to record slomo and use this Lexar for everything else.

I’m not sure how the card performs elsewhere, but it does NOT work well with the new CANON c70. I searched around my colleagues and anyone I know (and some ppl in online forums) that have ordered this card has had issues with it working with the newer cameras. Maybe a future update will change this, but as of now do not even look to buy this card if you have the new canon c70!

I only gave it more than 1 star because I’m pretty sure it works well for other applications outside of the new cameras, but just not for my use case.

Not worth it to buy. It’s a waste of money. I bought one and it keeps deleting the photos and it keeps saying reformat the memory card even if i did already a thousand times as i gets alot of messages. My experience is I took pictures after i reformat the card. In a sudden the message pop up saying i need to reformat the card as i already did many times and doing that it will delete all the photos i took. Frustrated with this one. Now i have a problem cuz i can’t recover the video that i took. Dont’ waste your money for this. Now they decline my claim. I don’t have the packaging anymore cuz the moment i open it i am confident enough that it will work fin but i am wrong.

This card failed on me multiple times throughout a shoot. It can’t even handle 4:2:2 10bit 1080p let alone 4K video. As any professional knows this is extremely embarrassing in front of a client. Lexar used to be a leading name in the memory card game. After some research it seems like they have had massive restructuring and with new ownership failings in quality and reliability.

Stay clear of this card for video. It is not a true v90 card and will ultimately fail. Spend the money on something more reliable like angelbird or prograde.

Fast card, work very well for both images and film without too much buffering while shooting at 60fps. Up loads quick to, saving me time at the computer.

If you value what you shoot, take photos or videos as a profession, and your job depends on getting the shot. This is not the card for you. 1: The cars was to slow to record basic 1080p video on. 2: the footage would appear on the camera play back but wouldn’t copy and paste or appear on three separate machines. I used to use Lexar, and only Lexar exclusively for over 10 years. But as of late their quality control has sunk, or their is a mass amount of fakes floating around. I am switching to Sony cards now. I warn you, if you value what you are shooting Do NOT buy from Lexar. This year has been nothing but issues with their cards for me.

I am using this card in a high end mirror-less camera. It works great and keeps up with the high speed bursts rates. I have had a 32GB version of the same card and it has worked flawlessly for a couple of years now. Occasionally I wish that the card had a larger capacity so I went to the 64GB and could not be happier so far.
    Great card at good price.

These cards worked for one continuous recording straight out of the box with the C70 (in any format), but once they were reformatted they stopped recording clips longer than a few seconds. Tried formatting by initializing media in-camera, quick formatting, and hard formatting, but the recording still stops after about 8-10 seconds and the display gives a notice, “Buffer overflow. Recording was stopped”.

DO NOT BUY if you plan to use with the Canon C70!
Will update my review once I have found an SD card that does work.

I’ve only had this for 3 months and it pretty much stopped working. My a7sIII can’t read it anymore. It just keeps telling me to reinsert it but it gives me the same message. When I insert it on my iMac, it’s giving me an error saying the card can’t be read.

    UPDATE:

I formatted it through my computer and it started to read again. Hopefully I don’t have to keep formatting it through my computer and the reformatting it with the camera.

First of all, I ordered these cards (12/04/2020) for use with my Sony a7sIII mirrorless hybrid camera. I bought these for the speed rating to be able to record at the highest bit rates and frame rates for the camera. Overall the cards worked perfectly at first. However, within about 2 months I started noticing issues with my camera that would stop recording video (not even the fastest speed necessary) and prompt me that the data would need to be recovered. About 2 months later, all video files on the card were corrupted. Losing a whole trip’s worth of video and data. this was the first card. For context, I had not been using any of the high bitrate recording settings during the issues.

I was hoping that the issue was isolated to just one card, but just this past weekend, the second card is now failing.

Therefore the first card failed within a few months and the second failed in about 7.

If Lexar is watching these reviews, I want a refund. These cards are NOT cheap!

    Stay away!

Purchased this to use with my Sony AR7 iii, I do wildlife photography, upload my photo’s after every outing. Today I lost 567 Photo’s due to an error while transferring, photo’s gone from the SD card… poof just like that for no reason. Save your money and invest in something better, you’ve been warned!!!

I used this product very often as its my job shooting high quality video. I purchased it for use with the Sony A7Siii. Red flags started to appear when I wouldn’t be able to record on camera and the card started to be undetected occasionally which required me to remove and replace it multiple times. Then on my last job the card was unable to be formatted or read by camera or computer. I lost out on some valuable footage for a client!

I cannot recommend this card, spend a bit more for Sandisk or another trusted brand, I’ve used the same Sandisk cards for years without issue. Overall this was a disappointment, 130 bucks down the drain!
