I bought these so that i’d be able to communicate with my neighbor. Outside they work great, inside not at all … i bought them so we could be in our homes and still communicate when / if we needed to. Didn’t work. They would be find if we were outside, but when we are outside, i can see my neighbor and we don’t need them.

My 9 year old does not have a phone, so we use these camping. They have great range, and are easy to transport. I tested it and was able to reach my daughter from 2 miles away. A real positive is that there are three units so her Dad and I can both reach her. She was excited to be able to have some independence while knowing that she could reach us with a touch of a button.

We recently got covid and we had to be away from our 6 yr old son for the first time ever. We have a two story house and our son kept trying to come up the stairs to be with us he would cry and want to talk to us it was really hard for him for the first time ever in his life to be away and knowing we got sick so I came on Amazon and bought these I have one to our son to dad and to me and we where able to communicate and he loved it and said it was so awesome. Thank you so much for these and we plan to use them going camping one day.

They work well enough, but they’re missing some of the things that make life easier with these sorts of things. First, there’s no light on dials. They “talk” when you switch channels which is kind of annoying because it’s not very clear. They also talk when the battery is low, which makes them less than ideal for home use – mine started jabbering in the middle of the night about a low battery – I was not happy.
Also, the charging station has a very short cord and they are not super easy to get into the cradle correctly. Overall, they do what is needed, but if I had it to do over, I wouldn’t buy them again.

I purchased two sets of these three radios. A group of friends all took a trip down Route 66 and instead of using our cell phones we used these radios and they worked great. They were clear, easy to use and worked well when some of the group got far away from the other group. We had the radios on for about 15 hours before the batteries started to get weak or die out and they were on the entire time Also the customer service was excellent. I had one radio where the battery kept slipping down. I contacted the seller and Angela got back to me. It turned out the radio body was bad. They immediately sent me a replacement radio body and the battery snapped in it perfectly. Angela was great at rectifying the problem and correcting it ASAP. I would purchase these radios again.

UPDATE: after posting the first review, the customer service rep contacted us and not only supplied us with 2 new ear pieces free of charge, but also refunded us $$ for the inconvenience. That’s great customer service.
Original post: We bought this 3 pack for camping. We have a disable son and it was a great way to let him be independent while camping. Bad thing is that the ear piece (which made it easier for him to communicate) on 2 of them broke after only 1 use each. The wires simply separated after a few hours of use. Other than that they were ok sets. Guess we’re down to just 1. 🙁

Bought the 3 pack and using for our 2 story house for quick communication. Also work well for neighborhood use. Easy set up and controls are fairly intuitive. I would recommend for inexpensive walkie talkies that work very well. I liked the separate base chargers to allow charging of units where you place them. These come with belt clip, usb wall socket, wrist strap, lithium battery, and charging base.

These walkie talkies are a great quality for the price you pay. We bought these three years ago and they have been one of the best and most used Christmas presents we have ever bought. We live on a wooded hilly farm and our range is probably only half a mile but that’s all we need. We use these for the kids to carry when they are on the property but away from the house. They have been really reliable. We are just finding the need to replace one of them. We even dropped one in a muddy creek, we put in rice and it survived!

If you intend to use them as is, they should work perfectly out of the box.
For my part, I wanted to use them with other radios we have, so I needed to adjust the preset programmming for “privacy codes” (CTCSS/DCS) to make them compatible, which is made possible using a 2-pin PC28 FTDI programming cable and the Retevis H-777 programming software available on their Web site. However, it didn’t work for me, but working with customer service led to solving the problem by changing my Windows number format from French Canadian to US English, and it worked, so everything is fine now and I could change the programming to use the units with all my other radios.

I had some questions and sent an email to customer service, very fast and friendly staff!
After some tests I can say that this product is way better than I expected! take a look at the reviews and compare if you want, but this one you’ll not regret for sure!

Très bon produit. Très pratique pour pouvoir communiquer avec les enfants quand ils sont à l’extérieur. Batteries au lithum un plus et un chargeur pour chaque appareil vraiment pratique. Je recommande ce produit.

Have owned these for 1 year and currently on the search for a better 2 way radio. We are home inspectors using these to communicate in and around houses. The issue we’ve encountered is not being able to reach each other by pressing the talk and receive button even though we are on the same channel – inconsistent voice transmission. It’s usually hit or miss, could be faulty switches.
The other issue is the long flimsy, skinny antenna cover is always coming off. We clip the radios to our belts and if we rub against anything the covers come off and the metal antenna points out in an awkward position. I’ve even had to super glue them.
I believe these radio’s are just not reliable and sturdy enough for our use.
