Right out of the box was charged to 87%, I charged it to 100 just to be safe, which also surprised me how fast it charged. I was needing it at the time for a 2006 honda crv that had sat too long. Battery was so dead that this jump box wouldnt show the “start” light, so per the instructions I held the light and the power button, which forces a jump, and it started after 3 quick cranks. Reliability of a honda plus this makes me feel a lot better having it in the trunk.

We’ll see how well the battery holds up over time, but excellent first impressions.

Simple to use, bright light with a strobe if you are on the side of the road at night, no excess cables to mess with, and it only went to 98% after that jump, so I except to get a lot of use out of this in a single charge.

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas. This is my third battery jump starter. My first one was underpowered, so I’ve been sensitive about that since then. My other starter is rated at 1600A and I have used it to jump my V10 F350 on a 15 degree day. You can tell it’s close to the limit under those conditions, but it gets the job done. I charged this Fanttik using the include 65W USB charged and it was fully charged in about an hour. Then I took to out to the truck on a 30 degree day, disconnected the battery, and it started up just as quickly as if the normal battery was connected. I can’t say for sure if it outputs 2000A (I kinda’ doubt it actually) but I’m confident it has the power needed for most cars and light trucks. It’s also nice that it will output enough power via USB to charge a laptop while in use. It’s a little pricy, but you seem to be getting something for the extra money. Here’s hoping it lasts.

One last tip – be sure to keep the manual handy. You need to press some extra buttons for it to work when that battery voltage is less then 8V. If you use it infrequently, you may not remember the process if you ever need it.

It has paid for itself already with one use! The bypass feature worked awesome as the truck was only reading 2V. Pressed the bypass combination and was my way at 4:30am with nobody around at that time and cold morning. Great case and storage… Get the deluxe package!!

At first sight during unboxing I was impressed by the obvious quality that went into this jump starter. The unit has a good solid heft to it without feeling overly heavy. Looking at the unit the display is clear and easy to read, the design is attractive, and there is rubberized padding on the edges. Completely unlike a typical jump starter that might be buried in somebody’s toolbox. Having such a high quality display showing charge state of the device as well as voltage of the vehicle’s electrical system is not necessary to jump start your car, but it certainly is a welcome feature that will add to your confidence when the time comes that you need a jump. The carrying case is also a thing of beauty with storage for the unit and all its cables. The jumper cables have their own shape formed storage area that keeps them untangled and ready for action. All of it reeks of quality build and thoughtfulness.

But, what about the most important thing of all…does it work? The answer is a resounding yes. I used the included car charger to top it off (it was at 81% at unboxing) and less than a week later needed it. The vehicle I jump started was a Ford Transit, not a large engined vehicle by any stretch, and the engine cranked faster than with its own fully charged battery. I am confident that it would crank a much larger engine, but haven’t tried yet so no proof.

This unit may be overkill for most vehicles, but it gives a margin of error that might be the difference between starting and having to walk in severe conditions. I can’t find anything to complain about…they even supply you with both car and house chargers, something not done by a lot of companies. Unless you have a huge engine or a vehicle with a 24 volt system this is probably the best value jump starter you will find. My advice is to buy one now…you won’t regret your decision.

My first dissatisfaction with this unit happened this morning. My work vehicle has been giving me fits lately and I have had to jump start it quite frequently. This morning one of the red plastic insulators fell off the positive clamp. From all appearances I will have to glue it back on. Is this a major issue? Of course not, but the rest of the construction is so well done that this surprised me.
