THIS EXPLODED IN OUR REMOTE TODAY!! We purchased these batteries on April 9 (about a week ago) and it’s been in our roku remote. Due to quarantine we’ve been home 24/7 and while watching tv I heard a loud POP and saw the remote jump slightly. We opened the remote and there was BATTERY ACID EVERYWHERE!! I’m glad we were home because our dog gets excited about loud popping noises (bubble wrap etc) and wanted to pick up the remote and chew it! SO DO NOT BUY WILL EXPLODE AND POTENTIALLY KILL YOUR DOG

I marvel just how long these batteries last every time I have to change them…that’s not very often. These are a little more expensive but they actually are “cheaper” to use because you don’t have to replace them as often. This is the only brand of battery I purchase as they are absolute perfection quantified.

This package came with that white stuff, my mom used it and when I saw it I was scared, that stuff is dangerous and my mom used it like that not knowing, I want my money back or a replacement with an “BRAND NEW BATTERIES” I don’t wanna be worried when I buy batteries and my mom get poisoned with them, I wrote an email to them and they disregard me, I’m so disappoint it

These are Duracell batteries, I trust they will last in storage for a quite some time.
I am giving this 4 stars because the packaging is horrifically wasteful. It’s a pack of 12 AAA batteries and yet Duracell decided to put them in a large plastic tray (easily 3 times larger than needed to hold 12 AAA batteries) AND THEN they put the plastic tray inside of a hard card sleeve for presentation.
Come on Duracell, your normal blister package works fine and gets the job done without needing this much material waste.

The description and photos of the product advertised 22 “AAA” batteries. The received “Duracell” box was also labeled as 22 batteries, but there were only 16 batteries in the package. The missing 6 batteries, which were in a separate area of the box, were absent. However, the box itself (as packaged by Duracell,) was properly sealed, and did not appear to have been tampered with. As far as I can tell, this is a Duracell production line problem, and not an Amazon problem.

After my husband had installed some of the batteries in difficult to access spaces on emergency lights he decided to test all and found three to be dead, both in battery tester and in a small flashlight.
Called the Duracell help line today (Monday) and a very nice customer service rep was helpful and said they will replace the original number ordered.
These new Optimum batteries are significantly brighter (in flashlights and wall mounted lights) than the original copper top alkaline batteries they replaced. According to website they will perform longer, too.
So, accepting the small problem as a rarity, I am pleased with this purchase and will reorder as needed.

I’m giving these a low rating because I hadn’t even had them for 2 months before they started to corrode. They were kept in their original packaging, out of sunlight, and still began to corrode. Not impressed with an item that claims to be “Optimum”.

Horrible. I am so dissappointed. This new packaging reseals so you don’t know its been opened. Anyway, I never wait to last minute to buy batteries. So, I didn’t need to open the package. Well, eventually I did and to my surprise 6 batteries were missing. There isn’t the little plastic window, to see them or count. I decided to take the loss as a lesson learned. Then I go to replace my firestick remote batteries and it doesn’t work. I cleaned the terminal, rebooted the device and finally used the app to check the batteries. Still NOTHING. I then replace the batteries with some new ones from Home Depot..Bingo, remote works.
So apparently some jerk, bought the pack, emptied all the good ones and replaced as many as they could with used old ones (- 6) AND RETURNED THE BATTERIES with the nifty new packaging that reseals.
Learn from my dumb mistake. Check the packaging and batteries ASAP.
