I bought this on a whim because of a sale. I took a chance on the 34 waist. I’m really a 35 waist, and find most 34’s too tight and 36’s too loose to wear without a belt — and I prefer to avoid belts in the summer. These 34’s fit perfectly and look nice too. In comparison, I wear a 36 in Old Navy and 34 in Target’s Goodfellow brand. Also, the quality of the fabric and construction are on par with both of those brands.

Bought these and don’t really like them.. probably my fault the length is just a bit to long and hit the crease on the back side of my knee.. the material is a bit stilff and bothers me when I walk.
Also the standard size is a bit generous in the thighs, I should have purchased the slim fit.

Can see my underwear through them. You can also see the pocket-linings through them front and back. I know it’s cheap and Amazon essentials but I was hoping to at least get one wear out of them but they look ridiculous.

I bought these on a whim and they turned out to be awesome. I’ve washed them twice and came out pretty well out of the dryer. Worth the money.

These Amazon Essentials shorts are the best I have purchased in some time. Others are either wrong sized or just not what is depicted in the cart.
I don’t always review items but these short really are that good.

Hi OK, with postage these are just £18 each. But at say, Gap, everything is discounted so you can buy their 10 inch Vintage shorts for about the same price. The Amazon shorts are way lighter and less good quality, and even smell a little off. They are high waisted, sitting around the belly rather than lower down so don’t have the summery relaxed fit you expect from shorts like this. (nb: I’m no gutbucket, I just prefer a relaxed fit). The colours don’t have a vintage or pastel feel, and are slightly too bright. Not a fan I’m afraid. Amazon don’t let you print out a simple postal address for returns (all options are drop-off) so these are going in the charity clothes dumpster under my building. At least someone will get to enjoy them.

Bought these as I have some amazon trousers that I’m happy with.
* Good points, high waist, with room to move stuff about. Ample zip room. Two buttoned back pockets. Two front pockets. Well made.
* Not so good points, I don’t like the feel of them. They are cotton, but not as I know it. They have a “stiff” feel to them, almost as if they are “starched?” Also at £18, I think they are expensive. I have sent mine back & bought a similar spec. pair for £8 from Asda.
* Conclusion, too expensive compared to rival brands. Material needs a look at, as these are not a soft cotton feel. So not quite there yet.

They fit very well, and they’re a very breathable, flexible material, perfect for hotter days. Great value for a price cheaper than you’d find in most stores

I bought these for my husband who normally wears golf shorts like under armor or adidas but I thought for the price I would give these a try. Size fit perfectly which I was pleasantly surprised and they seem like good quality. He’s pretty picky and he was happy with these and I think they look really good. Just the right length and material 👍

With these Royal Blue Shorts, you’ll feel like royalty as these are soft and the material seems to be the right thickness… not too thick and not too thin!

Bought these for my husband he’s 5’9” and the 36 reaches right before the knee and the sizing fits just right with some small room. For reference he’s also a size 36 at express and the 36 in the black shorts fit him the same. He’s pretty happy with the fit and the fabric. Bought the shorts for $5 so can’t go wrong with it!
