A good string at a reasonable price for a beginner on a tight budget. With the help of YouTube, I fitted it easily and it didn’t break – I shall certainly use this make again when the other strings go. Thank you

… though I hadn’t changed them in a long time, so perhaps any string would have done –
however, after 3 months still sounding great.

I love these strings!! True to the Helicore range, the strings are thinner and the “Light Tension” edition is lighter under the fingers, giving the cellist an advantage especially where it’s such strenuous work to play the instrument as a kick-off. Despite the light tension there is no loss of tone, but plenty of response.
As a violinist and violist I’ve always used Helicore (for the same reasons) but the lightness of touch on the cello seems more distinct somehow, which makes the instrument more of a partner than a lion to be tamed.
Can thoroughly recommend them. Reasonably priced as a bonus!!

I have an Ammoon (Chinese factory) cello and it is my first cello. It came with with a set of strings that sell for $7.23. The D’Addario strings were an amazing improvement. It took me a little while to get used to the feeling of good strings and the additional volume (and my fingers not turning black as they did with the old strings). I think the original strings were light tension and the change to medium tension gave the additional volume. The strings settled in quickly and feel great under the bow. I’m been having a great time with the instrument ever since. The next step was to fit the bridge and lower the string height and I now have a cello that sounds good and is easy to play. The strings cost was 75% of the original cost of the cello but they were worth it.

This is my fourth set of Helicore cello strings. Cheaper brands I have tried seemed awful to my ear and dearer ones didn’t seem better than Helicore

Wow! D’Addario continues to impress. Helicore cello strings are known to have great G & C strings, which they absolutely did. However, I was thoroughly surprised by how gorgeous the D sounds. The A is a tad too bright in comparison, but I imagine best in class for the dollar value.
Over-all the strings have excellent response even when using a fiberglass bow.

Nice set of cello strings, worth the price paid. They take a few days of playing to limber in, but the result is very nice. During my college days, I stopped playing, eventually replacing the original, outrageously expensive/beautiful silver-wound strings with cheapest strings possible to keep the bridge/peg properly tensioned. Sound went to ‘ell and I thought the entire time – like 20 years of occasional playing – that my sound peg had shifted, etc. Nope, it was the strings. These Helicore’s brought the original, great sound back to life. Makes me really happy to play again.

Really good strings. I bought two sets for my twin sons. The cellos sound better than ever. Loud and warm is the best way to describe it. Much better than the D’Addario Prelude strings they had earlier. Both of the boys agreed that these are easier on the fingers and they can play faster. The strings are very responsive. Two thumbs up!

I absolutely love the strings, and they bring out such a beautiful tone in my cello! I would highly recommend the strings.

I’m a beginner cello player. I got these Bc I broke my A string. Once I put these on though, I kinda can’t wait till my other strings break too, so I can put all the Helicore strings on it… Bc THeY sOUND AWESOME! Much better than the strings the luthier gave me when I bought my 1915 Neuner from him.
These strings are bright & smooth. Beautiful. My bow grips them great!

Excellent quality strings, i absolutely love them and they are so much easier to play on than the Red Label strings that came with my cello. I’m afraid i haven’t played on enough different strings to be able to describe these strings in detail, i do know that the quality is great and they sound amazing. As for price, it is pretty much standard and i couldn’t find anything cheaper anywhere.
