This is the same rope my trainer uses. The weight is in the rope not the handles. Would like more colours though. The rope is stiff as hell and you have to unwind it the best you can, but once it’s turning it levels it self out.

Useless piece of junk. The PVC rope is so stiff that it makes the whole thing absolutely unusable a jump rope. Never bothered to try it, I just put it back in the box and immediately shipped it back to Amazon. Do NOT buy this. I made the mistake of thinking that a good quality weighted rope could be had for cheap (I would give 0 stars if that was possible)… Save yourself time and trouble and spend a bit more for a top-quality weighted rope from Crossrope.com.

I read all the reviews about it being a very stiff piece of plastic and I don’t disagree. However, IT WORKS! I store it hanging from a hook in my garage, so it is always in the long position. In the winter, the “rope” was especially stiff and in the warmer weather, it’s more pliable, but in all cases, it works just fine. The bearing enable it to rotate smoothly and the handles are thick enough to allow a good grip. The rope is not one of those super heavy ropes that you can only turn a few times; this one is less than a pound, but you can feel the difference, and use it for lengthy jumprope sessions. Bottom line, it works well and you will see the results if you use it!

Oy so tough and heavy you will definitely get stronger with this.

Feel the burn! I got used to it after the first try and now I love it.
Highly recommend for someone who wants to get toned faster.
I’m 5’6″ and I had to shorten the rope which is easy to do.

Dont even think about buying it. Its not even a lifeline product. The whole package was not even 0.75lbs.
The handles were cheap plastic which made noises when i tried doing skipping as it i am playing garba..
Nearest atoz chinese shop will sell better jump rope than this.. What a waste!

The worst jump rope out there, stiff rubbish plastic tube, e mailed the company, didn’t want to know, absolute con of a rope. You have to leave it in the sun or submerge it in hot water to use it, then it goes back to a plumbing pipe.
    Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish

**UPDATE** Amazon made me revise because I made mention of my complaint regarding the (rhymes with “feller”). You can’t do that on Amazon, so I have revised the below statement in an attempt to comply…

I refuse to mislead people on my product reviews, so pay attention! I have used this brand of rope, in fact this very model, for the last 4 years. It is one of the best ropes I have ever used. Great for endurance and fast skips, double unders, all the hits

    HOWEVER

I have had this particular rope for 64 days or so. It appears the top of one of the handles completely disassembled while hanging. There are probably 3 or 4 small plastic and metal pieces we’re talking about, and about a dozen ball-bearings the size of a pinhead scattered about (still haven’t found them all…)

I looked at the return policy on this and lo and behold, a 60 day return policy. I’ve tried to reach out to the manufacturer to resolve the issue, but no dice. I will probably order the same jump-rope again, truthfully, but I will be mindful of WHOM I AM AGREEING TO EXCHANGE MY MONEY FOR TO GET THIS PRODUCT this go around…

Rope is smooth and easy to adjust to your liking. You do have to ring out the rope to straighten it being that it is thicker than a speed rope. Most importantly it provides a great workout.

Great rope! This is my 2nd time purchasing only cause my 1st one snapped after 5 yrs of use. Nicely balanced, will buy more once my children are of age to use.

Seller is scamming people by sending fake cheap product instead of what is shown in the display image….

My first rope failed after just over a month and half use. After a VERY annoying process of trying to get a warranty replacement through Amazon which was listed as “the seller” and not having any way to contact Pivotal 5, Inc – I called Lifeline direct and in 5 minutes – a new one was on its way. My suggestion – buy direct through Lifeline. Same price and if you have any issues – they are resolved immediately.

As far as the rope itself – I have been using the Lifeline beaded rope for years and have used much lighter, weighted ropes in clubs or hotel weight rooms. This one was considerably better than any previous version I had used in terms of the bearings and motion of the rope. It was also considerably heavier and I will probably get the heaviest one offered after using it (1.25 lb). My one issue is the size of the handles. They feel “big” and do not conform to the hand well. I slightly narrow diameter and a foam wrap would probably greatly enhance the feel.

It is necessary to let the rope hang for several days prior to using. These weighted ropes have a “memory” and the coil takes several days before it loosens up. Also recommend hanging this over two hooks (instead of one) with handles down to keep the “shape” of the rope.

This is the second one of these my 20 yr old son has purchased and I’m irritated he repurchased the first one rather than return. Within days, it cracked and broke AND the handle became detached.

I love this rope. It’s well built and suits me fine. I train with it almost everyday as a warm up before I use weights. The package came with with a training book and schedule which was nice. Whats sets this rope apart from others, is that its weight is in the rope, which makes it easier on the wrists. Moreover, you can adjust the rope to your liking, which many weighted ropes can’t do. I really don’t understand why people are complaining about it being coiled. They obviously have no imagination. Just hang it on a door and the kinks will be fixed. I added some ankle weights to the ends to speed up the process. I highly recommend this.
