Great weight to these sticks, the tips aren’t too heavy. Been playing them on all surfaces for weeks, no signs of wear. Had some friends and co workers ask about them. Quiet enough that I can play in a park without bothering anyone, but not quiet enough to whip them out in the office.

I must own dozens of pairs of sticks. But I just purchased an electronic drum kit which has black rubber pads instead of normal skins used on a normal acoustic drum. I had noticed while searching for an electronic kit that the black rubber showed a great deal of the effect of the striking of them. It always seemed that these were being caused by your standard wooden sticks. Enter rubber-tipped! I started using them yesterday and they have definitely impressed me with the lack of scuff marks left on the pads. And as an added bonus, the rubber tip seems to add a slight bit of rebound to it’s contact. It might be my imagination, but one thing’s for sure, I am very pleased with them.

First off I’d like to mention that I’ve been using VicFirth Float and Hardimon sticks (Tom Float was my instructor) for over 11 years. This is my first ProMark product, and I have to say I’m very impressed. The feel, responsiveness, and articulation are excellent. The sticks are also very well matched/pitched. All in all its just a fun pair to play with, and adds variety to the standard wood or nylon tip.

The only reason I took 1 star off is because the sticks I received are “old.” Let me explain; in my experience hickory sticks that are brand new start of at a nice off-white color and are very smooth with no pores. The sticks I received are a bit aged/discolored and look nothing like the picture in the info page. Also the blue watermarks on the sticks are a bit scratched off, and the wood was already open/porous due to long exposure to open air. I’m pretty picky so I may ask for an exchange.

With that being said, in terms of quality and drumming these sticks are awesome. I highly recommend them. Whether you want something portable to play on any surface, or something to add color to an actual snare head or practice pad, this is an great product.

Good sticks, or at least the ones I got were good.
Received completely different drumsticks (Length, diameter, and tip), but they were still okay.

I bought 2 pairs…one for my 5-year-old daughter and one for my 15-year-old cousin. They both LOVE it, they played together for hours. The quality is surprisingly sturdy and the rubber tips allow you to beat on any surface. The size (XXL) was a little much for my 5-year-old to handle at first, but she adapted well, she just holds it more towards the middle. I find myself wanting to drum with them every now and then, I’m definitely glad I spent the money.
