I just received my item on 11/9 & assembled & used it today 11/11/18. I absolutely LOVE ❤️❤️❤️ this item. Assembly is not difficult at all. If all instructions for the assembly are followed exactly as indicated, it works like a charm. I recommend this item. My “yard time” was reduced by almost half.

As someone who takes care of lawns as a side job, I was looking for something to make the process faster and easier so that I can be home with my family. When I saw this product I was intrigued. After reading many mixed reviews I thought I would give this product a shot. Here is what I discovered after using this product this fall:

The overall build quality needs to be better. It feels a little rickety while with some pretty loose tolerances throughout the whole assembly.
The plastic wheels are not the easiest to push, especially through grass that is slightly long.
The height adjustment knob is a nice feature that is easy to use and makes the process easier when sweeping in deeper grass or through piles of leaves.
The basket that leaves go in is made of good, sturdy material that seems like it will hold up pretty well. Attaching it to the frame is very easy but the cross arm meant to aid in the emptying of the leaves could be more ergonomic. Your back will get tired after trying to pick this up and empty the leaves into bags, if you are using bags.
Finally, the sweeper works great and will sweep leaves into the basket quite easily. If you adjust the height and maintain your speed you can pick up leaves easier than you could with a rake. This does not take the place of the rake however. You will not be able to pick up leaves that are up close to buildings for trees so you must rake the leaves into the path and then use the sweeper to pick them up. I must say, for someone who has a bad back, this makes the process of picking up leaves a lot easier. Instead of working up a sweat while twisting and straining my back most all I have to do now is walk behind this thing and let it do most of the work. Yes I still have to do a little raking and it doesn’t necessarily make the process faster but it does make it easier, allowing me to be able to work longer without hurting myself. I would recommend this product to anyone who want to make their yardwork easier on themselves.

Considering the high amount of 1 star ratings, I felt I had to write my experience with this as a contrast. This product is easy to assemble and very lightweight. The only challenge is finding the right adjustment level for this to work well, that depends on your the ground you are going to be working with. In my case, my frontyard… half of it is flat and the other not so much. It worked great in both conditions and I was able to pick up most leaves within minutes, much better than using a rake, especially for my back. It’s quiet too…won’t bother the neighbors!

After having bought ans used this sweeper… im lead to believe that all the negative reviews are from people who didnt read the instructions and adjust the sweeper to their grass. When properly adjusted(brushes .25 inches into grass) it works as intended. If you just put it together and go straight to using it.. it will not work properly. In short: adjust the brushes before using.

We use it primarily for a little leaves that are hard to rake, or if leaves are too sparce to collect efficiently. We use it primarily on asphalt and concrete. We usually blow leaves so that they are in a line, and then walk with the machine a few times over it to collect them. The shortest grass setting is just enough for the asphalt, would like another quarter inch though. On the grass it works wonders. The ground needs to be fairly even to work well. If you have a dense fall of leaves, a rake and bag is quicker.

Works GREAT for pine needles, pine cones, leaves & small twigs! It works best if there’s not too little or too much pine needles on the ground. If there’s a lot, you have to go over it a few times because it will clump up in front of the sweeper. But that makes it easy to just pick up. This was the FIRST time we have “raked” our yard. Our neighbors came out while I was “sweeping” the needles and IMMEDIATELY ordered one.

Also…delivery date was October 20-22. I got it October 17!!!

This sweeper beats any blower hands down! It is very important to adjust the height of the sweeper fingers if you have a heavy layer of leaves or leaves on long grass otherwise the wheels will skid instead of turning and driving the sweeper fingers. You may need to make up to four passes to get everything. I noticed that it doesn’t pick up leaves off of asphalt or Unistone. The brush fingers can’t be lowered enough. However I intend to Dremel the adjustment slot a bit longer to permit the brushes to go lower. You’ll be emptying the hopper a lot because it fills up very quickly so pick a central spot to dump them and from there just manually load the leaves into a garbage can or paper leaf bag. With the brush height set right you can sweep up acorns, maple seeds, pine needles, the works!

It’s a great idea, but basically worthless. It works just fine on pavement or other smooth, even surfaces. Unfortunately most of my leaves, grass, etc are on my lawn which is NOT a perfectly even surface. The minor highs and lows that I can’t see and don’t notice when I walk on the lawn become unconquerable terrain to the Sweep It. The green plastic knob on the front can be used to raise and lower the sweeper to accommodate various surfaces and I used that. Again and again and again. But even my ridiculously-frequent adjustments didn’t help very much (and I doubt the plastic on plastic adjustment feature is very robust). I would suggest not wasting your money on this product.

Like – looks good from 20 feet away …. up close, pure junk, flimsy, barely holds together …. it must be a toy.

dislike – total wast of money. Built bad. Works bad.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. When I saw some of the original reviews I really thought it couldn’t be that bad. IT IS THAT BAD AND THEN SOME.

I’m going to put it out for sale in the spring – on the front lawn – the sign is going to say “I’LL PAY YOU $20 dollars to take it away. But you have to sign a contract and a waiver – that you WILL NOT RETURN IT TO ME.”

    TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

It takes a bit to figure out the best way to use this. I found that the height of the brushes is key to how easy or hard it is to push the machine. I also found out that it seems to work better if you don’t go so fast too. Slow and steady works better. If it’s windy, point it into the wind to roll or leaves will go everywhere. You do have to go over a few times to get all the leaves and the basket does fill up fast. I don’t take off the basket and dump it. I use a set of leaf claws to empty the basket and that’s a lot easier.
For going over the driveway or sidewalk, adjusting the blades to low works just fine. I really got the machine for picking up all the pinecones that fall on our lawn. It picks them up well unlike the way they go through the teeth of the rake.

This is a great product! We have artificial turf and for the last 4 years have spent a lot of time raking, blowing, sweeping, and EVEN getting down on our hands and knees to gather the leaves and sticks off of the turf. I remembered growing up that my dad would use this type of sweeper on our yard, and thought for $39 what to I have to loose! My husband I debated between this one and the larger one. Glad we went with the smaller because when you empty the bag, it actually fits inside the large yard bags and makes it very easy to bag! For best results you will need to go over multiple times…but 100% easier and faster! The area in the pictures took about 30 – 40 min. It does pick up sticks and even deer waste! The only thing I can say negatively is that it needs a cover over it in some way to keep the few leaves in that blow out. And I did use this on pollen as well…it was great!
