The laptop works well and it is fast. I am not a fan of Microsoft Edge trying to block/control other programs or downloads that I really need. It is lightweight and compact. I travel often with laptops so that feature is amazing. The battery does not last very long.

Basic Windows 11 Home laptop that is 14″ screen and very lightweight to carry around. Fits in a backpack with ease. Touchpad with numpad was a nice addition, but nothing too great. Still better to pair this laptop with a bluetooth mouse. The processor is very good for this type of laptop considering it is a dual-core processor from Intel. Includes Wifi and bluetooth capabilities. Comes with HDMI port.
It is a budget laptop meant for browsing the web or doing light to moderate typing. Speaking of typing, the keys feel excellent as there is enough travel to press down and it feels just right when you put your fingers on it.
The power adapter uses an archaic “round pin” type of DC adapter. I wished it came with a USB-C port for charging instead. It does come with USB-C and USB-A 3.0 for data transfer, however.
For the price, I believe you can’t go wrong with this laptop considering it already comes with Windows 11 pre-installed. Most laptops at this price point are usually cheap Chromebooks. According to some reviewers, you have to turn off “S-mode” in Windows setting to install applications outside of Microsoft Store, but mine already had “S-mode” turned off.

When you go to buy a budget computer, there’s always a certain amount of risk. Even if the computer has good specs there’s a good chance some component can fail on you. I’m pleased to say this Laptop has been a little beast for just about everything I needed it to do. It’s remarkably slim and sleek, and it handles anything web based, and even a few slightly processor intensive tasks, with high speeds. This is definitely a computer built for work and student purposes, but it excels at those functions. Battery life is also plenty capable. The only annoyance is the calculator built into the touch pad, but it’s pretty easy to ignore/deactivate. I often forget it’s even there. Consider this computer if you need something for work or web based functions that you can easily travel with!

I rarely review a purchase I cannot rate as excellent. This pc does the job and if the Chinese take it from me at the border (lost four pcs in past ten years), it will have given good value.
The 4GB ram, and the Celeron CPU are distinctly slow, creating buffering issues with video and really slow data transfer rates. The touchpad has quirks. I rarely use the internal speakers or camera, preferring aftermarket accessories. ASUS took shortcuts in the design and manufacture of this computer, yet it comes together well as a basic pc.
Windows 11 came preinstalled. Populate this pc with the applications you really need, even freeware, and conserve space with external storage and it will serve well as a backup, basic or burner pc.

Takes Linux with no problems. When you open it up it has an unpopulated nvme drive slot. When populated the drive clocks in at 2.7 GB/s. The eMMC on board storage is good quality as I clocked it at 322MB/s read, 150 write. The processor is an upgrade to the N4020 with more cache and better graphics. You can tell the difference. I got it on sale at $150 which is a terrific value. Everything else about the laptop is either good or good enough.
Recommend as a basic entry level or backup computer. I do not use Windows so I can’t comment on its performance under that OS.

I’m overall pretty satisfied with this budget laptop. It’s lightweight, speedy, with a good display for the price. Satisfactory keyboard size as well, especially considering I don’t have small hands and have struggled in the past with laptop keyboards that were overly compact.
I use this laptop pretty much entirely for web browsing and web-based work, and haven’t had any issues completing those tasks. I was able to set up the laptop and take it off S-mode with no problems.
The one con with this laptop, IMO, is that 10-key they inserted onto the touchpad. I was hoping that feature would be a workable alternative to having the 10-key squished in next to the keyboard but, to be blunt, it isn’t. It likes to turn itself on and off when I’m using the touchpad as a touchpad, but then when I want to use the 10-key, it isn’t responsive enough and I end up with missing numbers in my entry. The positioning is awkward as well – when one is used to using a 10-key to the right of the keyboard, trying to use one that is positioned below and at the center of the keyboard just leads to an uncomfortably angled wrist. Luckily for me, the keyboard isn’t so large that using the number row at the top isn’t a feasible alternative, so that’s what I use for my work.
Overall, I do recommend this laptop as a nice little budget workhorse. But don’t buy it for the 10-key touchpad, because that one feature is a sore disappointment.

This is a decent laptop when purchased on sale. I got it for $139. I definitely would not buy it for the regular price of $350. The N4500 processor is slightly faster than the N4020 and paired with the 128gb eMMC, it makes it a good combo. I was debating getting this vs. the other Asus with 64gb but this is the route to go since it does not have an expandable memory (SD card) slot.
Windows 11 runs pretty quick and I switched out of S mode.
Battery life is amazing and drains very little when on sleep mode. I use this as a spare laptop around the house, traveling, etc., so its nice to know the battery won’t drain fast while it is off.
    My only cons are:
The casing is really smooth and slippery and holds finger prints/oil from your hands.
Bottom of laptop gets pretty hot, so much so that you can’t have it sit on your lap for a long time. When using it at home, I have it sitting on top of a cooling fan.
You get what you pay for with the graphics, screen and webcam. The display brightness is great and gets very bright, but its not ultra HD, so things are just not as crisp and clear. However the display when connected to my 27″ LED monitor via HDMI is pretty good. The webcam is pretty grainy and I would not recommend if you do a lot of zoom meetings.
The number keypad is not great and accidently gets turned on a lot when typing. I have disabled that.
Overall, its a great spare laptop to have.
