I have many other hue lights that work great, these do work well with siri and homekit, but I like to use my Alexa devices as well. For some reason, Alexa won’t discover these specific bulbs. Not sure why but it is disappointing.

These are zigbee bulbs and not bluetooth, but I was planning on buying a Philips hub anyway. I heard the Philips LED were the best quality bulbs out there, and they have been in the market for 6+ years so I wanted to compare with my existing Feit LED from Costco. I really like how you can dim each bulb, without the need of a dimmer on the wall switch, and the lowest setting is really low. Also, we have a hard to reach light switch in our utility room I wanted to control via siri or alexa. So far so good.

The phillip Hue Bulb is one of the most stable bulb in the market. I like how it simply work with Bridge. It also stays off after power outage as long as you set it in the bridge. Other bulb always turn on in the middle of night if power goes off.

Works great with my existing Philips Hue Hub and was easily integrated with my voice-controlled setup. Great for dimming when you want some light, but want most light to come from your TV.

The product information is incorrect.
The description says “Control it instantly via Bluetooth in one room, or connect to a Hue bridge (sold separately)”. This is incorrect, these bulbs are not bluetooth compatible. They can only be used as normal light bulbs unless you buy a dimmer switch or Hue bridge. See my attached photos below for the setup instructions and the photos of the base of the bulbs which due not include a Bluetooth logo (which the official Philips Hue Bluetooth app mentions is present on Bluetooth-capable bulbs).
The Key Specs say “Dimmable”, which is technically true if you have a Hue bridge (sold separately). What it does *not* mention is that bulbs say “DO NOT USE WITH DIMMERS” and the box says “Not suitable for use with dimmers unless specifically designed for Philips Hue.” This is an important clarification that is mentioned on the back of the box which Best Buy has neglected to include in the photos of the product. I’ve included a photo of it below.
The Specifications also neglect to mention that these bulbs are “Not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures.” I will grant that this is a common aspect of LED bulbs and it is frustratingly common for resellers like Best Buy to leave this important tidbit off. That being said, it is unacceptable not to inform people of this.
Honestly, these bulbs are probably decent value for smart bulbs, but it is unacceptable to have incomplete and incorrect information about a product, ESPECIALLY information under the category “WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS” on the back of the box. How easy would it be just to at least include a picture of the back box on the product page? This would’ve saved me a ton of time and trouble.

When used with the Hue Bridge, these lights allow you to monitor and control which lights are on in your house even when you are not home. I have these bulbs in various locations throughout my house so I can turn them on prior to entering a room, going upstairs and so the house is not dark when you get home at night. These bulbs can also be used when you are out, to give the impression that someone is home. The quality is very good. They are somewhat expensive, but worth it.

I prefer Philips Hue LED over other brands. I bought these white smart bulbs on sale for less than 2 for 1. They were advertised as having Bluetooth but they don’t. I still kept them as I have the bridge to link them from a previous starter kit purchase. I was interested in the Bluetooth features so I was pretty bummed at first. It’s a smart bulb regardless. If I could get the same deal again I would purchase them. The color ones are the best but they cost much more. In certain areas these are more than good enough. I have a mix of the color and white. Our electric bill went down when we switched to all LED bulbs.
