This computer is pretty awesome! I was not expecting the hard drive to be a top of the line type. The processor is extremely quick. I was able to set the graphics card to run primarily and and whisper mode. Everything stays reasonably cool when on normally use. This was and extremely awesome deal!
Remember to go into windows settings and enable gaming mode and also turn on hardware accelerated GPU scheduling.
Use the omen gaming hub and go to quiet settings for performance control, and set fan speed to auto if not already set.
Download GeForce experience and set it to whisper mode and battery saving.
Go to NVIDIA graphic settings and run things off the graphics card and enable developer options.
Set Windows power mode to best performance.
Run the Intel graphics command center.
Download and run Western Digital drive utilities.
I also installed Primocache and just ran 4 gigs on that program.
The hard drive was showing a incredible ridiculous speed on crystal disk mark seven.
My only complaint is the cooling system is probably not the best based on the fan setup as in my pictures. But, I was not expecting top tier gaming computer performance and ,my temperatures Hoover around a respectable 120 degrees usually.

Its a great laptop.
For the higher specs; ram, storage, etc the value is exceptional.
My only disappointment is the display.
There’s no crispness to it and always seems dull.
It wasn’t a deal breaker for me for what you get (at least what was in stock at the time), but always gnawing at me while I’m on it.
Despite this minor frustration I would consider purchasing it again but would likely go with one that’s comparable in specs and definitely has a much more crisper display.

it was nice enough i purchase two. it’s on the low end for gaming but worth the value once you work through the quirks.
pros
halfway decent laptop
nice size screen
semi upgradable
light up keypad
cons
only a 3050ti so low end for gaming
keyboard lights can’t be customized its white or off
screen is a 1080p
has no cd drive for you dinosaurs.
there is no scroll lock key, yes that’s right no scroll lock so no removing your Hud in final fantasy 14 for screen shots without changing your key bindings.
windows 11
low base hard drive space.
loud fans while gaming
fans are only on one side [right]
if you pick up the computer from the back and hold it like a laptop in your arm the lid opens up if you hold it from the back.
-not good but not bad-
comes with MacAfee installed an no other built in vires protection
-unique flaws-
-these are mainly related to windows not the machine itself-
system tends to bsod fairly often. on initial startup i got a bsod.
you cannot change operating systems to Linux as windows 11 has locked to the computer an basically requires you to ask Microsoft to allow a Linux install.
-this is machine based-
does not come with the most current drivers you will need to install GeForce an all-other components and soft-ware
wonderful –
this laptop is amazing, really fast to star and shutdown, it’s really wonderful to work online or to work in excel, there is no process that does not complete in seconds

The device feels solid, not flimsy at all; yet not particularly heavy.
For general tasks it is fast, as you would expect. I have not used it for games yet.
The USB-A ports are tight. One needs to carefully exert some force when inserting or unplugging cables.
Other ports have worked fine: HDMI, headphones, card reader.
The fan is noisy and stays on a lot, even when just checking emails. Once, I even considered returning it because of the constant noise.
* I changed the OMEN settings, but it didn’t have a noticeable effect.
I wish it had a dedicated key for turning on/off the wi-fi/airplane mode.
Summarizing, I expect it to perform like a workhorse, but definitely not a polished one.

I recently purchased this laptop thinking it would be great for video editing and gaming. The laptop is very fast and the battery is not bad. The only problem is the screen. For a very well built laptop the screen is horrible. It is dim compared to others. For video editing the laptop is very fast with minimal lag. But the screen is not very bright nor color accurate. I would definitely recommend this laptop if you just want a very fast laptop for gaming, but for other uses that need a good and color accurate screen I would not recommend this.

My old laptop was showing its age and had recently given me the blue screen of death so I needed to replace it. The manufacturer was HP, and it had given me years of service to this point so I wanted another HP model. This one was in the price range I was shopping with and I’m very pleased with it so far. It’s really, really fast with great graphics. The only thing I dislike about it is that it doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive, but apparently those are not installed anymore. Anyway, I highly recommend this model if you’re shopping for a middle price range computer.
