Proving that speed, resolution, and video capabilities can all coexist, the Alpha a7R III Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sony is a versatile, high-performance camera characterized by not only its resolution, but by its multimedia versatility. Revolving around a full-frame 42.4MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and updated BIONZ X image processor, the a7R III affords an impressive 10 fps continuous shooting rate along with improved autofocus performance for faster, more reliable subject tracking along with wide frame coverage. This updated Fast Hybrid AF System employs a combination of 399 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection areas for quicker acquirement of focus in a variety of lighting conditions, and also maintains focus on subjects more effectively. In addition to speed and AF, the processing improvements also help to realize greater image clarity throughout the sensitivity range from ISO 100-32000, which can further be expanded to ISO 50-102400. Video recording capabilities have also been extended for enhanced quality when recording UHD 4K video with the full width of the full-frame sensor, or when using a Super35 area and 5K oversampling to minimize moiré and aliasing. Additionally, benefitting both stills and video operation, the a7R III retains the 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization, which is now effective to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops.

I am IN LOVE with my new camera! It’s the best upgrade I could’ve asked for in my price range and the images that I’m able to capture now are GORGEOUS. I’m still learning all of the new functions and features, but so far I love it and I’m obsessed with it. 10/10 recommend!

I am a 100% sony user since my beginnings and I really see that with this camera I can improve my work; doubt a lot between the 7iii and the 7iiiR since their features are very similar and the price is not. But what led me to make the decision is its resolution since when making cuts and frames, quality is not lost with respect to the 7iii and its shutter is designed to last twice as long.

After shooting film for many years (Leica, Nikon) and then moving to digital with the Sony a6500 and its Zeiss lenses, I took the plunge and bought the Sony A7Riii. Fantastic camera. It handles very comfortably, has countless options (which I am still learning), and superb performance. Great battery life (much better than the A6500). Only complaint is a surprisingly loud shutter sound, but there is always the Silent option. Love it.

I’ve been looking at getting into the alpha series from Sony for some time, but kept putting it off until I found myself in a bit of a pickle and needing the camera ASAP. I took a gamble with standard shipping and ended up receiving the package a day early (shipping from NY to IN) with plenty of time to learn the camera before using it on a shoot. Kudos to the team at B&H!

I purchased my camera two weeks ago at B&H in New York. I have been taking aerial shots from my helicopter open doors. It is amazing. But of course you have to know
how to use the camera to pull out more of the Bells and whistles.

First off I can’t say anything that hasn’t been said before.I will submit a photo I took on May 30th, 2021 I will also provide photo data. In order to submit this photo I cropped out over 75 PERCENT of the photo. The photo is much nicer than what you see. I also used a SIGMA 40mm 1.4 DG HSM lens to capture the photo. Photo taken @ 9:54 P.M. @ ISO 100; 0 EV; @ f 1.4 and a 25 second exposure on a carbon fiber tripod.
