I love the laptop, HOWEVER the laptop came in with a cracked screen.

If you can get this during one of those $300-off sales, go for it.
AMD and Microsoft have tuned the processor drivers to be very efficient in most cases.
One downside to the AMD Ryzen, though, is video playback. You’ll see a decrease in battery performance compared to the Intel version if you watch a lot of video.
For me, though, doing business work, the battery life has been great, despite this unit’s relatively small battery.
If you want a lightweight 15″ laptop with a 2:3 screen, well, this is pretty much your only choice. Fortunately it’s a pretty good one!

This product is poor quality. After owning it for a few months a hairline crack appeared going from the top of the screen to the bottom with no clear cause (no falls/drops). This must be some kind of design flaw with the glass, as I’ve owned MacBooks and Lenovo’s for years and never had a cracked screen.
I’m in contact with Microsoft about a repair but even that will take weeks and is a major inconvenience. I do not recommend this product.

I bought this computer for school and it Rocks! It’s speed is fast and it has just enough storage for my needs. It is very weightless and have a sleek platinum look. Keys and touch board are easy to use.

I really like Surface laptops. I have owned them since Surface Laptop 1. love how light and thin they are. When I Saw the 15 inch version I fell in love with the larger screen. I grabbed one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD. This is the AMD version.
I am a computer engineer so I know exactly what I am talking about. I was very disappointed with the performance of this laptop. I ran a benchmark software and my older Surface Laptop 2 scored much higher than this AMD version. Also, I can never get Youtube to play 4k video without dropping frames. The Intel version doesn’t have this issue.
One big bummer and although this is advertised as 8 GB of RAM, it is essentially 6 GB . 2 GB are dedicated to the GPU. to me this is kinda misleading.
Form factor, display quality, microphone, camera, keyboard, and touchpad are all top notch.
If I can’t figure out the stutteting during 4k video playback, I am going to return it and get the Intel version.

I love it! The design is flawless…speed is great… it has a nice kind of large screen but its very portable and lightweight at the same time. Touch screen is very convenient as well! Not to mention pricing is reasonable compared to the competition. Really wish it came in Ice Blue like the 12″ but overall best laptop I’ve ever had.
