I am in love with my new steam iron.it has an amazing Heel rest, a variable steam selector.a spray nozzle, spray button steam button.it even goes to standby mode after 30 secs.if your phone rings you start talking so you dont burn the house dwn.thats great.it has a blinking red light to let you know it has stopped heating .so many safety features. It has a internal motion sensor so it starts heating again when in motion.the round knie you set it for how long you want to steam on what kind of material.It also has this fantastic Auto clean button.which it keeps the steamer clean of any buildups… I want to buy all the ladies in my family one these are a must have.you can travel with it. I was excited to try this steam iron out. It was easy to get started and I immediately tried the upright steam feature in a shirt of mine that has nasty wrinkles that are hard to smooth out. This got them out quickly and my shirt was wearable in about 5 minutes. It was fairly easy to get the hang of using it. I also flat ironed a couple other shirts in a decent amount of time and they turned out great and wrinkle free. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This Black and Decker Iron is great, it works very well, and have not had any problems with it since getting it. I do Iron alot and it’s perfect. It iron’s nice and smooth and leaves my others looking great! Honestly I don’t think I have used an Iron that works as good as this one does. It gets all the wrinkles out fast. It lightweight also not to heavy! It has a temp dial so you can set it on the perfect temperature for what you are going to Iron. It also has an auto clean button which is really nice to have on an iron, and a steam button. This iron definitely exceeds the regular standards and works perfect. Wow i really needed a iron, that had lot of key benefits.This is a professional iron, that is of high quality, that really works great & is fast. At times im in a hurry & dont have time to iron, thanks to this iron i can. This professional iron has a auto-shut off, which comes in handy & convenient, especially if not being used. Also love it has separate steam and temperature controls, so i can set it up to different kinds of fabrics. Love the extra long cord, so u can stretch it out far & it’s purple a favorite color of mine. It has a smooth glide & i can feel, that when i iron on my clothes. I am so impressed with this product. This iron has so many nice features, such as a large water tank which means you can get your ironing done without having to refill it. The ten foot cord is a plus. I love the separate temperature controls to set exactly as you like. Having a stainless steel plate seems to be the winner of this iron. Being lightweight helps to maneuver while ironing sure makes it easier. The amount of steam it delivers is incredible, it is large and consistent. My most favorite feature is the auto shut off, this is such a great idea. Not only does this iron work great, it seems of high quality and very durable. My clothes have never looked better. This iron starting getting build up on the plate from day one and the steam function spits water all over our clothes. The manufacturer suggestion is to either clean it daily with an iron cleaner or don’t use starch ever. Also, just don’t use it on steam. Terrible service after the sale and I will not buy black

I have had this iron for just under a year and the soleplate will not stay clean. I use it for quilting and need to use starch. Unfortunately every time i use it I have to clean it because the soleplate looks like it hasn’t been cleaned ever. I ended up putting it away and not using it for 3 months. I have bought a mini iron for my piecing but went to use this for ironing yardage but one yard of fabric and it looks like it’s never been cleaned. My previous Black and Decker iron I had for 15 years before it died and I had to buy this one.

I have purchased 2 of these irons now and both have come damaged! The first one came with the stainless plate scratched so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and order a new one. It came USED with brown scorches on the bottom!! Don’t they check returns?? It’s a FAIL from me!

The dark color of the plastic makes it difficult to see the water level in the iron. Also, the steam holes in the sole-plate are only in the upper half; the indented “pattern” on the sole-plate makes it difficult to see that the steam holes are not distributed uniformly on the sole-plate. I just got the iron so don’t have any experience with its reliability yet.

This iron is light, easy to use and does a good job of getting wrinkles out of the clothes. I have had 2 previous irons – both Rowentas – and this is by far a better iron for a fraction of the price.
