After researching this and other humidors, the improvements of this unit over its predecessors stand out. If you live in a climate with ranging climates the heating function is worth it. The seal on the unit holds humidity to .2 swing. Seasoning was done with an electric humidifier and took all of a day to equalize.
Definitely worth the upgrade from non heating unit.
