Lowest speed: it was at a good speed for natural nails, but as soon as you touch down the machine stops. It doesn’t have enough juice to keep it going.
Medium speed: too fast, especially on natural nails and with product on top. It was actually quite scary how quick it was going.
Highest speed: not practical for nails unless removing long nails.
This machine is ideal for on the go, but more so I feel best to use to remove gel polish on toes. It’s not safe to use on the high speeds unless you do long nail extensions. It’s not to be used on natural nails. It’s quite uncomfortable for the client and you can’t do precise work by the cuticles. It’s strange that it would stop as soon as you’re touching down the slightest bit on the lowest speed.
I will be returning this as I’ve tried much better ones that are corded. It’s a neat concept but not practical.

Anything Melody Susie is amazing in my opinion, but this is the best drill I’ve owned. I did find it runs a little hot but I just adjusted my pressure and was fine. Very good drill especially for the price. Cannot beat it. And the fact that it’s cordless makes it even better. I could get a good file for my fill in which I couldn’t before from corded drill.

To begin with this drill is amazing because its rechargeable! Which means no cord and i love that! Its heavier at the bottom but i dont mind that i actually like it. I dont like tht it only has three speeds and you cant choose the speed for those but i only use the low speed around the cuticle and the other two for removing acrylic dip or polygel. If u dont know how to use this drill it having a heavy bottom and all and you dont know how to apply pressure correctly the drill bit will occasionaly stall or just stop because youre putting to much pressure that doesnt need to be used. I am also upset that mine didnt come with the drill bits but thats probably not going to happen to everyone. Overall still giving five stars i love the drill.

Great wireless drill. I really like how long the battery lasts. I don’t have to stop doing my nails to recharge. The three speeds work great for different types of nails. The pink color and design is also super cute. This is my third Melody Susie product & I have to say I’m impressed.

Nail bit got super hot as soon as it was turned on. Couldn’t use at all.

I’m a nail anthusiast. I prefer to do my own nails, whether it’s just a manicure or an enhancement (hybrid gel, builder gel, acrylic, etc.). This drill is amazing, it can do it all! It can shape, buff and remove product with ease. I use it for everything nail related. Not sure how long the battery lasts, because I ONLY use it on myself. I would assume at least 4hrs. I currently have acrylic on my nails, putting enhancements on my NON-dominate takes me a long time to do. This drill (with the right drill bit) cuts through the acrylic like butter. I love this drill so much I bought 1 for my sister (who loves to do reg and gel manicures on herself). Highly recommend!!!

This would be the perfect efile except that it’s slowest speed is still very fast. It’s quite fast for the natural nail and you have to work exceptionally hard to avoid heat spikes.

I have purchased a few similar items to this in the past and they all went in the garbage way too fast. This one has easy controls that don’t get in the way when you are working with it. The low setting is a little too low but the medium is perfect for shaping and removing top layers of gel. I have my own bits but the ones that come with it are fine. I would have save myself some good money by just buying this one first. I do have a heavy duty salon type nail drill but I don’t usually need that kind of power on my own nails at home anymore so I wanted something I didn’t have to drag out a box of stuff every time I wanted to do a little something to my nails. I highly recommend.
