I ordered the 16 quart version of this bowl because we cook in bulk, and need to be able to stir and cool very large quantities of food. I have been able to verify that it is actually a 16 quart capacity. In the picture, the bowl is full of the contents of two 5-quart pans and one 5.5 quart pan – with just enough room for mix them together. I appreciate the fact that the bowl is wider, rather than deeper, as this helps when we’re using the bowl sitting to cool food.
The metal of the bowl itself is lighter and seems a little thinner than some other name brand bowls I have, but it held up to the weight of all that food with no issue what so ever. I am very impressed with this product for the price.

Update: got a response that sizing is as per manufacturer and sold by amazon so everything seems to be okay! Unbelievable!
Bought 2 bowls :
3/4 quart holds 12 (1.5 cups) FL oz whereas it should hold 24 FL oz
1.5 quart holds 24 FL oz (3 cups)!whereas it should hold 48 FL oz
Beware If you plan to use these as mixing
bowl.
Seller needs to correct product description.
These are stainless steel but very lightweight too. You can get better quality and weight at this price. Giving this one star for wrong description. Pls correct and I will update the rating

Given as a gift to my daughter who makes large quantities of preserves. I was impressed with the size, quality and sturdiness.

So I needed a large mixing bowl for a catering project. After searching high and low and coming up with nothing bigger than an ordinary bowl, I jumped at this. Now in hindsight, I did see the description saying 30 quarts. But who thinks about how big that would be.
It is ENORMOUS! Picture an umbrella made out of quality stainless steel, turned upside down, without the handle. That’s it! Now try to picture trying to wash this in a typical sink. Not going to happen. Then try to imagine where you will store this monster. Hope you have an extra parking space in the garage.
Other then those issues, I love it.

Love the bowl. I make alot of bread and this bowl is plenty big to make large batches at one time. Big time saver for me.

Used to make kimchi, worked very well. Held 10lb of nappa cabbage no problem. Made well, I just really like it and will be able to use this bowl for years and years.

Very disappointed. Price was good but the bowl is very thin, the bottom is bouncy. I would have been content with it anyways for the price but I’ve only had it for a few months and it’s starting to pit and rust. I would not buy this again. Had I known I would have invested in something a bit more expensive to get better quality.

Since it’s stainless steel, I didn’t bother spraying it down with high-heat paint. I am NOT using this as a mixing bowl (it’s real purpose and design) but rather to replace my previous fire pit bowl Unfortunately, this does not fit my fire pit table 100% but it works well enough.
The main downside to this is that it’s really not thick enough so I worry that this thing will only last 1 season before I have to replace it. However, it’s a lot cheaper than a “real” fire pit bowl but those also seem to be poorly manufactured these days as well. So for about half the price, I get something equivalent. For that reason, it’s 4-stars.
You may think that’s unfair and that this should be a 5-star rating. However, even as a mixing bowl it is rather thin. I expect a sturdier bowl for making higher quantity food items. Except maybe for buffalo or other dressed chicken wings…in this case, a lighter bowl is easier to toss dressed wings.

Très bonne grosseur pour faire une grosse salade

I used this only once. This is both peeled and rusted. I want a replacement.

What can I say, it’s a very big bowl. I bought it to use next fall when I make my huge batch of salsa, but it also worked very well when making tons of stuffing for this thanksgiving. The only downside is the the metal itself isn’t all that thick…especially the flat bottom part…there’s a lot of give there, thus the lower durability score. Still, I’m pretty happy with it.

If you choose to purchase this product be sure that it is Winco branded. I chose to purchase two 3 quart bowl’s, and one showed up as a generic bowl. The largest issue I have with this is that the quality was nowhere near as good as the Winco branded one. I’ve included pictures of both bowls after one use and you can see that the generic has rusted. Whatever you do be sure that your bowl is in fact what you’ve ordered or you may be burned like I have.
