Super easy to put together, all you need is a hammer. We bought the black one 7+ years ago to store toys on in baskets, and it’s still as sturdy as the day we put it together, even after 4 kids pulling and playing around it daily. This one we bought recently to put in a small coat closet to store board games. The shelf itself is very sturdy. It came with minor scratches on the outside boards, but we didn’t mind because it’s in a closet. This was our 6th mainstays bookshelf purchase, and they are definitely the best bang for your buck, and last for quite some time!!!!! I added pictures of the same shelf in black (7+years old) and the rustic oak one we just bought.

Bookcase is of good quality and easy to put together. The box arrived with a large hole in the side, maybe during the shipping process? This allowed a couple of the boards to have small dings / damage. It wasn’t major however when you buy something new it should arrive new. My suggestion is to improve the packaging process to match the quality of the bookcase.

The book cases are better than I thought they would be. They are well constructed for their purpose. It took my daughter about 45 minutes to assemble both. The first one took the longest because it was our first time assembling the product. The second assembly went quicker. Thankful the holes perfectly aligned. We will purchase more.

I didn’t think that I would like the color. But we’re in love with it. It’s perfect. My 12 year old daughter actually put it together all by herself! She asked and I told her to go for it. So if a 12 yr old can put it together with no building skills I think we all can. It’s sturdy and well built. Perfect!
APRIL –
Easy to assemble. I put the shelf together by myself. Only giving it four starts because the shelves are not completely flush with the sides. My experience has been that the particle board shelf will eventually begin to warp from the weight. (I have flipped the shelves over in the past) but as they bend that gap will get bigger. So I’m disappointed that the shelves are not aligned.

This is the perfect size for my granddaughter to keep her favorite things accessible to her. Its very sturdy, easy to assemble with only a hammer needed. It has a nice selection of colors. It takes up a minimal amount of space and the space I wanted it for is pretty tight, but it fits perfectly. The shelves are adjustable. I bought some collapsible bins to store blocks and miscellaneous toys in. Turned out fabulous!

I bought this bookshelf for my 9 month old. I needed something neat, not too obtrusive, and that could fit easily in my living room/baby hang out space. It is perfect! When his book collection outgrows this bookshelf I can easily transform the unit into an ornamental decor display unit.

This is the first u-assemble bookcase that I have ever purchased that had absolutely no defects whatsoever. The shipping box was not damaged, there were no missing parts, and the laminated particle board bookcase was flawless. It took under a half hour to
assemble and everything lined up perfectly. This is a first for me.

Rustic oak color is not actually brown but is grey instead. Easy to assemble though.
