Easy to install – Just drop into vent – no tools required
Metal damper boxes rust and seize up, so we make our damper boxes with high impact plastic. This is not a cheaper option, it’s the best option
Available in a variety of styles and finishes to match any decor.Filter retainer and filter are sold separately
Wood floor registers are much thicker than metal floor registers, so please be aware the top of the register is 3/8” above your floor; do not put wood floor registers in foot traffic areas

Factors to consider: 1. One side of the face appears to have multiple “chatter” marks from planing. It ruins the entire look of the finish. 2. The plastic lower part of the piece is not removable. On the plus side I have caramel oak finish on my floor and it matches well.

Stained with Kona stain and finished with polyeurethane. Seems like a good value for the price. Plastic piece to shutoffair flow seems flimsy and I suspect if I were to use it a few times the plastic piece would snap off. I plan to leave it always open though so shouldn’t have any issues. If you shut off flow to rooms frequently you may consider something made of metal instead.

this looks great. popped right in. It does have some height to it which makes it obnoxious to clean around, but not a deal breaker. Since it’s in the bathroom, I was tired of the metal ones rusting and the plastic ones are too dangerous if stepped on.

To all the fools that can’t stain properly, quit your complaining! The reviews, needlessly made me nervous when I ordered this. Use some q-tips to get in-between the slots. Use a quality, name brand, stain (not 2-in one poly) Learn how to apply stain. Sometimes it involves sanding and a little swipe of a wetted sponge to open up the wood. Mine turned out perfectly. Go look up how to stain on YouTube.

It was hard finding a wood vent that was already stained and ready to go, so I was extremely happy to find these and that they are oak and would match our wood floor. They are cute. The bottom part that slides into your register vent is plastic. Maybe it said that but I missed it. I for some reason was expecting metal. The vent adjuster is plastic as well. I do wish that was metal. These are new, so maybe that is the reason I could not use the lever to adjust the vent. I had to get a knife to slide them from the under side before putting them into place. For me that is not a big deal because I will not be adjusting these in the future. I just want them in the open position. I would buy these again.

It was a nice product and matched my floors but it stuck up so far my hardwood floor installer was able to make me a built in flush one for the same price – otherwise I would have kept it

My home had the brown/gray builder grade registers installed all around. They look fine when new, but over the years they become dented and rusty. This gave our home a nice face lift at a reasonable price. Other brands are double the price and accomplish the same job. Build quality seems fine.

Just redid the office floor in a natural oak. These really completed the floor. Not cheap but worth the investment. I hope to get others for my other rooms. There are quite a few and different sizes but I may have to buy them two at time.
