HONEST REVIEW
After redoing my entire internet network system in a 3,500 sq ft home, this router was not the problem, of connection problem.
It was the Internet Modem that was screwed up. I tested my new router and my new modem against my old router and modem and it was it.
Arris Surfboard SB6141 was the culprit, after buying new top of the line Motorola MB8611 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem with 2.5G Ethernet and ARRIS SURFboard mAX WiFi 6 Tri-band Mesh AX6600.
Works Solid! No Drops or Connection issues ever since instal!

I got this router to pair with Arris SB8200 modem, which upgraded my previous Arris modem, with a Linksys WiFi 5 router. I recently upgraded my ISP to 600 Mbps from 200 Mbps. My old setup can give me around 450 Mbps download on 5.0 Ghz. This new setup gives me 533 Mbps, when close to the unit and about 30 Mbps in front (outside) my 2500 sqft house. I’m satisfied with the speeds. I also have alot of devices, more than the picture I shared.. I still have 10 or so devices to set up.
Above is enough reason for me to set this up. I’m not that techie, so, I was slow in undoing, making all the connections, following the instructions.. the trick here, is to download the app, before severing the old wifi system. I also encountered error in making wifi work, during setup. I don’t even know how I overcome the error.. I did check my Samsung S20+ settings and turned off wifi and turn back on, and connect to the router (without internet). Then, somehow, it worked and I got Internet.
So, I began setting up all the devices.. which I couldn’t complete in 1 night.
Despite the setback, I’m happy with the results. I have good internet speed, and have no dead spots. I used to have dead spot in front of the house, where the Ring is.. So, half the time, I couldn’t see what the Ring see.

App is trash and the only way to setup network. Wouldn’t connect to the internet, either unit, for absolutely no reason.
Update: Apparently my issue is with IOS, was able to setup with Android….super weak-sauce. After setting up satellite router, we can no longer connect to main ssid, just the guest network?!?! Yes, I’ve restarted modem, and both routers….4 times each. Unplug satellite router, restarted main router again….now we can connect to main ssid. Reconnect satellite router, can no longer connect to main ssid. Huh?!? Makes absolutely no sense.
Update: If we RENAME the main ssid after connecting the satellite router, everything works as expected. What a horrid user experience and stupid device. I should bill Arris for the 5 hours wasted on setting these up. Will update again if anything else “fun” occurs.
Final Update: Renaming workaround lasted less than 24hrs….we’re returning these.

I’ve had my house set up for a little over a month now. Very easy setup, about 15 minutes in total. I must say it’s a mountain of difference aswell. With my Netgear Nighthawk router I was experiencing many connectivity issues. But with this new hardware not one. I highly recommend this product. I paired my mesh system with one of new Arris modem’s, and some new cat6 cables. The user interface is very good, no problems at all with the app, on my Android Razer phone 2. My house is two story 5 bedrooms with roughly 6 – 8 devices connected at the same time. Some days more then that. All in all, great product, easy setup, and a simple user interface.

We’ve got cable internet, and the connection coming into the house has always been stable and strong. After 2 years dealing with a rented wifi router and then a Netgear purchased router, we were continually experiencing speed issues and random disconnects. We decided to give this one a try, and no longer have dropped service. Even better – speeds to our many devices have been so much faster! We’re a tech heavy house. This one is definitely worth it!

Just finished setting this up this morning and so far very pleased with the product. The setup was easy with only 2 minor hiccups that were easily resolved. The first issue was the inability of the control app to join the newly created SSID during setup. This is most likely an iPhone security feature preventing apps from hijacking the SSID for malicious intent. Exiting the app and using iOS network settings circumvented the issue. The second issue was a security camera initially failed to connect after completing the setup of the mesh system. It’s one of these cheap IOT devices that is simply poorly designed. Rebooting the camera resolved the issue. Otherwise, all my devices are now above -65db which is the threshold for voice quality wireless signal. Very pleased with the performance.

I am not taking a star off the review as I was aware of the shortcomings and made the purchase with full knowledge of the cons. With that said, if you are looking for a no-frill “set-it and forget-it” mesh system with high performance, this system is a fantastic option. If you like to tinker and customize your wireless network settings, this product is not for you.
