I bought this for my 10′ x 30″ easy set pool as the pump it came with was pathetic and I needed a more powerful pump for my Intex Salt Water System that I also purchased. This one works awesome! I love that it pumps 1000 gals/ hr which means my tiny pool gets run through at least twice in an hour. I usually run it a couple hours a day after the kids get out and it keeps it clear. We went out of town for 3 days and when we got home our pool was green, I turned the pump on and within about 5 hours it was totally clear again. I love that I will be able to use this with other pools I purchase in the future!

Bought this as a replacement pump after the smaller (530 gallon) pump from our 12′ x 30″ pool failed. We try to make the “disposable” pop up above ground pools last as long as possible, and we got a deal on the 12′ x 30″ pool last year. Instead of replacing the whole setup, we just needed a pump, so we decided to upgrade since the smaller pump didn’t seem to stay ahead of the junk last year. It DOES fit the original hoses to the old pool, so it was an easy transition. This one works great – even plugged into a mechanical timer to ensure it runs often throughout the day. We would definitely buy again to keep the cheap old pool operational!

Shame on you Intex! I’m on my third pump this season & we just set up our pool in May. This pump does not last! We’ve read the manual & operate as instructed. Such poor quality. These are just made to be landfill fillers. I’m currently looking for a replacement that will work for the oval pools. Contacting Intex is a joke because although they’re supposed to have a warranty, they don’t honor it! If you get three months out of these pumps consider yourself blessed! Buyer beware! Pay more for something that will last!

I purchased this to take the place of the one that came with the pool. I have a bestway steel frame pro pool that is 12’x48″. The one that came with the pool didn’t circulate the water good enough so I bought this one. All I had to do was take the hoses and hook them right into this pump. The standard hoses that come with the pool hook right up to it because they’re 1.25″. Very satisfied with this purchase because it pushes the water around so much better then the old one . And the filters last two times as long as the little ones that originally came with the pool .

NOTE: 30 DAY WARRANTY – The pool we ordered had a small pump that died after 30 + 7 days. It was small anyway so we ordered this one as the next step up. This one made it a whole 30 + 9 days. Less than 2 weeks after this crappy warranty (which by the way, the consumer has to pay for the return as well – so that takes about 1/3 of the price.). I’m all for giving budget companies a try, but I’ve had it with Intex and their crappy products. Pool and the filter will be out for the garbage man this week and next season we will be ordering something completely different for the kids.

I bought this pump for my blow up pool to try and clean up the yellowish water up from my well. This one was only $4 more from the 330 gallon pump. I used 12 pound plastic dumb bells to weight the hoses down.
The video and pic is fresh water I just filled up. I have silt in my well water.
Update: 7/15/2019
I went through 5 filters in 3 days, but as you can see from the pic, it cleaned the water up nice!

So first day of use I can say for how long it will last BUT I’m writing this review to help answer the question of if you have a small pool without hose input out put inlets outlets can you just put the hoses over the top. The answer is yes. I had fun figuring out that the pump needs to be opened and filled with water first. The intake house must then be submerged and stay submerged in water. I strapped mine to a plastic water bottle with a big zip tie to keep it in the water. Then you turn on the system and it will work. IF any air goes into the hose you will have to turn off the power I would unplug it and then again repeat this process. The the outlet water house don’t matter so much it can be in the air if you want BUT I attached a bottle of water to that too as mine flew out when I was in the bathroom and I lost a lot of water on the floor. Another reviewer used a 5 lb plastic dumbbell to hold the hoses. I would keep the wire off the floor and out of potential water even though it’s a good wire. For my small pool I also don’t use the pump while in the pool and unplug the pump for
Added saftey. Make sure your electric line has a ground for the built in breaker to work right if it needs to.

Hey! We bought this Intex pump for our stock tank pool. We have had it up and running for over a month now. I’m giving this a 4star review because it did poop out on us for a few days after we had some heavy rains. The pump does not have an on/off feature so you have to unplug it every time you want to shut it off. The TEST/RESET buttons must have taken on too much water and decided not to let the pump function. In the mean time I bought a second pump waited for it to arrive gave the original pump one more chance before I threw it out and it fired right up and has been working great for more than a week now. 🤷🏼♀️ Overall this filters the 700 gal. 8’x2’ stock tank perfectly. We have well water that is heavy with minerals, it has kept our pool water clear and beautiful. We change out the filters about once a week. Our pool is under a tree so we get a lot of debris maybe a pool out in the open wouldn’t need the filters changed quite so much. You will know when the filter needs to be changed because the outflow of water into the pool will decrease substantially. We have found that you can rinse the filters out and get a few more days out of them. Over all for the price and what we use it for, great buy! I would not expect this to last more
than a few seasons.
