These are awful. They arrived CLEARLY used – the packaging was broken open – covered in some weird, oily substance. They are cheap, badly made, and there were broken pieces among the pins. Additionally, the sizes are completely misleading – I had maybe one or two larger safety pins and a bunch of smaller ones. I know they are only about $4 but even that is overpriced for what you get. Excuse me while I go wash my hands again to get this nasty substance off….

These are pretty cheap and I could have purchased a similar product from the Dollar store. I also question the number of pins advertised on the product page vs the number actually contained.

I attended a formal gala in June and the bosom of my dress did not fit right. I purchased the safety pins in order to pin my dress for the gala so my bosom would not be falling out for all to see. Everything went as planned when I slipped my dress on and did my make up, that is until I went to pin my dress to my bra. No matter which size we used the metal on the pins would bend as I went to clip it. We tried to use less fabric and just pin the tips of the seam to still, the safety pin tips would still bend!
After an hour of attempting to do a simple pin on my dress we finally managed to get everything into place and were ready to go. By this point we had bent over half of the package trying to pin my dress. Not thirty minutes into the gala I felt a pop and a stabbing sensation in the side of my breast. The safety pins all gave and bent! The dress wasn’t even tightly pinned so there was no reason for them bend and give like that. I was called onto the stage to receive an award and had to wear an over sized shrug over my dress to hide my bosom. I was also tripping over my dress as it was sliding down due to the top part being loose.
I cannot recommend this product to anyone. Even with a a light weight chiffon dress, the metal bent and would not hold the material. If you are looking for a sturdy safety pin, look elsewhere.

Very weak and flexible, they bend really easily. Not the good solid kind. I would have expected much better for the price. And only a couple or three of the biggest size were in the pack; a LOT of the smaller ones.

These are the flimsiest safety pins I’ve ever used. I just needed them to pin in the waist on my daughter’s little pants until I could sew them. They seriously bend if you look at them the wrong way. I had to go to the craft store and buy some real safety pins. You couldn’t even use these to pin on a name tag and expect it to stay on all day.
Not Impressed –
Not a very good assortment. The pack includes sizes 1, 2 & 3, however the count is heavily skewed. The kit contained only 1 of the size 3 (51mm) pints and 9 of the size 2 (38mm) with the remaining 40 being the tiny size 1 (27mm). A much better assortment would be 10 size 3, 15 size 2 and 25 size 1. I was expecting/hoping for at least 4 of the size 3 in a 50 pin assortment. Moderately disappointed with this item as sizes 2 and 3 were my main priority.

I was very disappointed with these “assorted” pins, there were just a couple of the larger pins, four medium sized pins and all the rest were the small pins, so 44 small pins made up the bulk of the “assorted sized” pins.

I needed a safety pin to keep the stretching tension band on my headphones in place (it’s started to stretch out after two years of daily use). These did not disappoint. Also, the pack contains several different sizes, so you’re good to go no matter the size of your headphones.
Now my headphones feel like new, AND I still have 49 safety pins left. I have a feeling these will last me several decades, so if that isn’t great value for money, I don’t know what is.

The package had ONLY ONE, 51 mm safety pin. and a defect on the head of one of the 38 mm ones. I wish to ask for another box, which the proportion of pins makes more sense. Thanks

What’s to say? Safety pins, a variety of sizes, They are strong, I’ll give them that. I pinned a lumbar support to the back of my chair and the pins went right in.

Just awful. I was showing a student how to run a drawstring through a casing and the pin opened up, got stuck in the seam and the seam allowance, and i had to take the stitches out to get it out. So flimsy they are completely useless in my opinion.

I bought these to mark spots on my t-shirts so I would be sure to treat them with stain remover when I washed my clothes. Admittedly, I went for the “low bid” cheap ones. Well, I didn’t pay much for the pins, but I have found 4-5 of them which were missing the closure head completely and still more which were difficult to handle and hard to close. I think this was a good value for the price, but the sturdiness issue and the ease of use problems brought the overall score down to 3 stars.

Due to illness, I have had to move a lot of times in the past 4 years. Lots of things were lost or forgotten and left behind. I had no safety pins! I use safety pins a lot! I bought a small package at the Dollar Store, but they must have been a decorative product because they bent if you looked at them. I never dreamed I would find them on Amazon. But I did! This pack has different sizes, but not hundreds of pins. I didn’t need hundreds of pins, so it was the perfect amount for me. And they work just like a safety pin is designed to do! No bending so far. Save your self a trip out for just one thing. Check Amazon first for everything! Very happy with my purchase.
