Update 07-18-2019
The rear fender broke after lifting the scooter in the folded position. Contacted Hiboy and they replaced it with a new fender for free! Excellent customer service! The new part is better designed, with stronger support bracing, so hopefully it won’t break under the weight of the scooter.
Original Review:
I use it to take my dog for walks, actually runs around the neighborhood. For night time safety, it has a white headlight that can be turned on and off. It has red running lights below the deck that can’t be turned off, and a red brake light in the rear that follows the hand brake. Solid tires mean I never have to worry about flats, but it also means bumps as short as half-inch require a firm grip. The handlebar height is not adjustable. I’m 5-7 tall, it would be more comfortable if I could lower it by about 6 inches. My streets are moderately hilly and it noticeably labors going uphill. On the plus side, the regenerative brake is really handy when going downhill to add charge. Even so, I get less than half of the 17 mile advertised range even at the slowest speed setting. I expect other scooters at this price to have their overstated ranges, too.

The HiBoy S2 scooter is really really good!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from an Amazon choice E-scooter, but it won’t disappoint.
Firstly it’s tall enough for a 5′ 10″ man weighing 13 Stones.
The build quality is excellent and it folds down making it easy to carry on a train, store in a car or at home.
The front front light is great for lighting up the road ahead on dark winter night’s.
With a top speed of 18.5mph it’s fast enough to get you anywhere.
I’ve achieved a genuine 13 mile range, however you may get more as I live on a mountain and a steep one at that & rider weight will also affect performance.
The tyres are a solid rubber construction, so puncture resistant, yet they seem grippy and the Suspension soaks up the bump’s and potholes well
Although I did adjust this a little after my first ride.
Overall this is a Brilliant E-scooter, which is better in many ways than E-scooters costing more than twice as much and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Oh and HiBoy customer service is second to none.
They are really helpful should you have a problem or question.

Compré este patinete para desplazarme por la ciudad, ya que por mi trabajo tenía que caminar mucho. Llevo casi un mes con él y quería probarlo bien antes de dar mi opinión:Llega a coger 30km/h.Por cuestas tiene mucha potencia y no te deja colgado(yo peso poco). El otro día una señora que iba con su Xiaomi, me preguntó si lo tenía trucado, porque vió como subió una zona de bastante cuesta y se quedó sorprendida, ya que según me dijo el suyo no las subía así,al contrario, muy lento. Yo no puedo opinar de otros patines porque este es el primero que tengo y no tengo con qué comparar. Pero para mí, es una maravilla. Carga rápido(2 horas más o menos), no pesa mucho, frena muy bien, las luces potentes y la conducción perfecta. El único fallo que le veo, es que los laterales no llevan protección, y como te des un pequeño golpe con esa zona, ves las estrellas. Yo le hubiera puesto unas gomas de protección. Lo demás, perfecto

This is Amazing!! Great value. I’m very pleased with this product. This is probably the best thing I’ve ever bought, I’m not kidding. Very well made! Exceptional quality! So fun to ride. Originally though it was a bit expensive, but after I actually examined it, I think it great buy! I ride this scooter everyday. The scooter is powerful enough to ride through grass as well as on driveways and sidewalks. The big tires make a huge difference. The hand brake makes it very easy to handle. Casi 1 mes de uso. Y comparando con Xiaomi 365 normal no el pro, para mi este es mejor.
Digamos que los puntos debiles de Xiaomi los mejora.
Velocidad en recta fácil 30km/h subidas pronunciadas con peso 80kg las sube a 25 sin problema. Autonomía real de mas de 25 km.
Ruedas macizas y suspension que OJO he tenido que ajustar los tornillos porque llegan flojos y se salieron.
Frena mucho con dos tipos de frenos que lleva de disco y de motor.
El guardabarros traseros no se parte como Xiaomi este esta reforzado
Y luces LED que iluminan todo el patin muy guapo la verdad por la noche te ven fijo. Lastima que no puedas elegir el color.
Es robusto y peso normal.
Lo recomiendo como alternativa a Xiaomi

Puedo decir que no tiene nada que envidiar a los xiaomi “los pasa por encima” es rápido, mas de 30km/h en linea recta, acelera brutal y frena muy bien, mantiene la velocidad en las cuestas sin despeinarse y la batería tiene buena duración, con su app descargada en el movil puedes hacer todo tipo de ajustes tanto en el modo de acelerar como en el modo de frenar, lleva freno delantero electrónico y freno trasero de disco regulable independientes en su accionamiento y para mí es muy importante la iluminación LED en todo el suelo del patin por la parte de abajo para que sea totalmente visible por la noche, también te permite modificar el sistema de arranque para que puedas salir derrapando directamente sin tener que subirte en el patin y darle impulso, solo con tocar el acelerador cambiando el modo Boot Mode a “Zero Star” (ver video), de momento estoy muy contento he iré actualizandola información según lo vaya usando, atención al cliente y servicio posventa excelentes.

Me acaba de llegar mi patinete hiboy s2, su chasis es muy resistente , dispone de pantalla de led , linterna frontal y luz fe freno trasero .
A las dos bandas del piso del patinete hay dos franjas con tira de led que está chulisimo cuando se enciende noche . El freno trasero es de disco y su frenada es impecable .

I live in Atlanta and there is a walkway that runs through midtown and downtown called beltline. There are also many paid e-scooters with different brands and different styles on the beltline. I think the cost of each scooter paid by time is too expensive, so I bought this e-scooter from Amazon.
Comparing with other e-scooters, this one is the latest model with reasonable price. The battery capacity is quite large, and I drove for approx 2.5 hours on a weekend of full charge with half the power still on. I also downloaded this scooter App. It controls the speed and I can locks the scooter. It’s very easy and convenient to use. What surprises me most is the entire body of this scooter, very solid which I think it is made of very thick steel. 28 lbs, it’s a little bit heavy on the weight for girls because of the thick steel and large battery. But it didn’t affect power at all. It is very powerful, the maximum speed can reach 15 mph. Of course, you can also use App to control the speed limit.
I tried it in my own neighborhood where there are a lot of ramps. The slope is about 20 degrees, it’s easy to speed up. There are so many people in beltline, especially on the weekends. So brake function is particularly important. Fortunately, this scooter has double braking system, a disc braking for rear wheel and eABS for front wheel. The thing I like most about this scooter is the wheels which the wheels are solid and bigger than the wheels of any scooters on beltline. This improves the ride stability of e-scooter, and the rear wheel also attaches two inside shock springs. Very good design. There is a little secret is that the scooter can be placed in a rear seat. They have two versions, one included rear seat and the one I bought has no rear seat.

I got the scooter and charged it up and took it for a test spin and was surprised at how fast it was. 25kh feels fast on a scooter! If the pavement isn’t super smooth it’s a bumpy ride but no big deal. I’ve attached 2 pictures of minor complaints. The first, one of the 4 screws won’t screw in flush – the threads on the handle were poorly tapped. It’s minor and I will retap eventually. The second is the screw cover on the back wheel. It came broken in the package and I found multiple shards of broken plastic at the bottom of the box. Again, minor and only cosmetic. I plan to reach out to the seller to see if I can get a replacement cover. Overall I am happy with it so far!
Update: I contacted the seller about the broken cover and they sent me a replacement for it right away. It was shipped from China and I had it delivered in 2 days via DHL. am very pleased with their service. They are extremely responsive via email !

I have had the scooter for 4 days now, the first-time charger had a problem and stopped charging at 72%, so I contacted customer service and they have promptly sent me another one from China which came in 4 days with DHL and I would give 5 stars for this. but the range on the scooter didn’t meet my expectation, it drained from 100% to 32% in 5 miles around the lake on a concrete smooth trail. I am gonna give several days more to try and if the battery drains as fast I will be returning, I was hoping it would range around 15 miles on average 15km per hour but no…
