Classic Brands Cool Gel 12″ Gel Memory Foam Mattress, Twin

This is my second one , I ordered the first one a year or two ago and loved it. This one won’t lift up nor does it look as big as my prior one that was the same size. The box also came ripped opened , I made sure to spray the bed just in case any bugs got inside. Will update review soon if it ends up lifting more.

A year later and I still love it. I was so nervous about buying a mattress without feeling it in person, and extra nervous because I’d never had a memory foam mattress before. I read soooo many reviews on so many different sites and so many different options and I ultimately decided on this one, the 14′ king size. It unwrapped easy burn it did take a few days to fluff up all the way. I was worried because the head and foot parts of the bed took longer to fluff up. But eventually they did. I had back problems and needed firm but also soft, and this mattress has been perfect for me. It’s firm for what my back needs, but it’s very soft and comfortable, if that makes sense. I just sink into it but not in a bad way. The edges have held up great. I do rotate it from time to time so one side doesn’t get all of the pressure from me sitting on the same spot all the time when I’m getting dressed or folding laundry or whatever. There’s no dents or body marks or anything. It looks and feels exactly how it felt when I got it a year ago. My opinion is this is a great mattress and I’m glad I picked this one 🙂

I purchased the queen mattress 12″ on 3/29/21, and delivered 4/7/21. The box was torn and retaped; but was not completely closed with the mattress visible inside covered in plastic. 4/11/21, I unpacked the mattress with some difficulty by myself because it was not rolled correctly when compressed. The top of the mattress was on the outside of the roll, causing the top to unroll with it being on the bottom. I struggled to flip it over after it had unrolled about halfway. I noticed right off that the top and bottom edge of the mattress was compressed several inches more than the rest of the mattress. It has been 24 hours and the edges have hardly expanded. This mattress also hangs over my queen motion base about 2″ each side. I purchased this as it said it was compatible with adjustible bases. The cool gel foam can be felt when you put your hand on the mattress, but the warranty suggests protecting it with a mattress protector. However, if that protector is quilted on top, or it is a waterproof cover, that is going to impede the cooling effect against your body.
I’ve had spinal surgery and needed a plusher mattress that is also adjustible and this fits that description. I can deal with the top and bottom not expanding fully;however, the overhang on the edges makes this somewhat a safety hazard if you sit on the edge of your bed to get dressed or even sit up on it when getting up in the morning or during the night.

Be aware if you’re asthmatic or have small children, stay away from this mattress. I ordered this mattress after reading all of the amazing reviews in both, Walmart.com and Amazon, but never expected to received a damage product. The mattress came covered in mold and customer service said they couldn’t send me a replacement. The product was sealed and still had a bunch of mold everywhere. See all the photos.

Not happy with how the bed was shipped. It came to us in NO box. It was just wrapped in plastic twice. Part of the plastic was torn and part of the bed itself was exposed. The bed itself luckily didn’t come damaged but it was a bit dirty from not being in a box. It smells when it comes out of the packaging. The mattress itself is very comfortable. I love the mattress just not how it was shipped to us.
