I was afraid to buy this due to the negative reviews. I am a new cricut user and have only worked with paper, never vinyl or HTV. I will admit I hate that cricut anything is devoid of instructions on the actual product. But if you follow the ones posted from their site for this product, this product will work beautifully! Even for a beginner! Even for small font! The only other extremely needed advice I read in a review somewhere was to tape this to the mat. I did at each corner with the bit of tape that came on the roll! SO happy with the results! (I’ll add I have no idea how this will hold up after washing, but all are only for one time wear for black history spirit week).

i’ve been sampling materials from many different brands, since i set up my first machine, an Explore Air 2. in most of my comparisons cricut brand has a great quality product that is pretty simple to use, but other brands hit the same marks at a lower cost. i expected similar with iron on vinyl, but…

Cricut Sportflex Iron On totally blew away 3 other products where it really matters: it stays on every nylon, poly & cotton/spandex ive tried. it still looks great & has stuck on through 7-8 washes/dries on nylon athletic mesh. another flex product disappeared in the first wash.

cricut and others could all do a much better job explaining and signifying “this side up” with this material, so until you become familiar it can be slightly frustrating. they could also tell us that press time to apply is crazy variable. always, always test first.

overall, Sportflex wins 1st place. this spring it will be on every shirt, short and bag i make for fam’n’friends.

I love the feel of this Vinyl on shirts but it just does not stay put. I made a shirt as a gift and as soon as it was washed it all started to peel up. I figured it was just I did not iron it on correctly, so then I made a batch of shirts for a bunch of boys to wear to a soccer tournament, well I was extra careful when I made this next batch to make sure everything was really ironed on. After the tournament I washed one of the shirts, cool gentle setting – and sure enough it started to fall off the shirt. I love the feel of this Vinyl and how soft and flexible it is on the shirts, it really feels great but it just does not stick to shirts long term. So if you are making something to use 1 time, it will probably be fine but if you hope to have it stick around try something else – this stuff just does not stay adhered to material.

Even though this material is not recommended for cotton, I have used it without any problems. I applied it to a 100% cotton shirt and also a 50/50 cotton/poly shirt. I used the Cricut easy press and mat and it worked just fine.

This was really hard to weed. Even with the pressure on more it was a bit of a pain. I was kind of surprised as all other Cricut vinyl is easy to weed.

Didn’t work like I wanted it. It didn’t stick at all to any fabric I used. I would give it a 0 if I could.

Horrible! This whole role did not stick. I used my small cricut iron and it wouldn’t adhere at all. It deposited the glue to make an outline. Ruined a $18 shirt I bought for the iron on. So I’m out over $30 because of bad merchandise! 👎There was an option to replace the item but The closet UPS store to return to is 30 min away (I live in the country) so I’d have to make an hour round trip to get a replace $12 dollar roll on top of ruining a brand new tshirt that they aren’t replacing. Guess I’ll just be out the money.

Really easy to work with. The product itself is great and the shipping was fast but I wish there was more to the roll.

Great quality, pressed on smooth (I used a regular clothing iron), and has lasted through 8 washes with no issues.

I’m editing my review because it’s been almost 3 years since I used this vinyl. My original review was in August of 2018. It’s now May of 2021 and the vinyl still looks like it did the day I put it on. No fading, no wrinkling, no lifting, and best of all, NO CRACKING! I don’t take any special care of the items that have this vinyl on them. I wash them with the rest of my clothes on the heavy duty cycle with warm water, and dry on medium heat. I work outside, in the woods, on a tractor most days so my clothing really takes a beating. I’m super impressed with this vinyl. I generally don’t care for cricut brand vinyl, but this one is fantastic.

I was so excited when I saw that Cricut came out with this Sportflex Iron On, as sometimes I have problems with my regular HTV lettering staying on after washing it a few times. BUT . . . . it was a total waste of money. It’s so soft that it’s very time consuming to weed because everything just peels and stretches 🙁 I wasted an entire roll and still wasn’t able to get it to work for my shirt. Do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and stick with the standard HTV. Very disappointing.

This is the best heat transfer vinyl I have ever used! I have been making T-shirt’s for my kids for 6 years and this is the only vinyl that has held up wash after wash! My only word of advice would be to do a test swatch before using. If your iron is to hot and you don’t have a piece of cloth between your iron and vinyl- the vinyl will melt. I forgot to change my iron setting before making my son’s Fortnite T-shirt and you can see where it started to melt on T and E, but once put at the correct setting it goes on smooth.
