This is my second Koolatron KWC-25. I use it in the office for client drinks in the waiting area.
My first one worked just over a uyear, then its power supply melted. I bought a used power supply (lucky to find one) and got another 8 months out of it. I then bought this new one at Christmas. This time I bought the warranty as I know the product. The new power supply lasted a month. All three melted at the connection point to the mini-fridge. Now doing warranty submission.
No matter how much I want this product for my office, the power supply is faulty and melts (three times on two mini-fridges).
I strongly recommend you look at an alternative Coca-Cola mini-fridge. If you do buy, buy with a warranty and be prepared for a short lifespan to the product. Unfortunately cannot find the power supply for sale by itself.

At first I thought this might be a product with a very famous Brand name on it that would last. There were not as many bad reviews when I bought it as there are now. But it looks as if we are all having the same problem. I bought mine on October 13, 2011 and today is August 31, 2012. Not quite 11 months and the product has completely failed just as everyone else’s has. I got up this morning and heard a clicking noise behind my chair, looked at the fridge and the lights were flashing to match the clicking noise. The fans had gone dead and the refrigeration unit was FUBAR’d. An absolutely worth piece of junk. Coca-Cola should be ashamed to have put their name on this piece of JUNK. Of course it’s another product made in China. Shame on Coca-Cola. I am passing the word, contacted Coca-Cola, Kooltron, Amazon and whomever necessary. Stay away from this unit, it’s WORTHLESS!!!

…I’m at a loss as to why you keep allowing this item to be sold on Amazon! I love shopping Amazon and have a great deal of respect for you but…when you see how many people have had these things quit working after such a short time! When more than twice as many people give this 1 star than give it 5 something is very wrong! Allowing this product to be sold is soiling your reputation! Not only is the product still being sold but the price is rising as well. As a loyal Amazon customer I would hope you would be watching out for me a little better than this.
I’m another who was taken by this product, although most had longer use than I did! It worked great for a couple months but then I noticed it wasn’t keeping things as cold, then it started flashing and went totally out! I would feel even worse about this if I had payed the price they’re asking now, I only had to pay $119.00 for mine. Sure is neat looking…but that’s all it’s good for now! This thing should be recalled since so many have been ripped off!
If you buy this you will be sorry…kiss your money good bye! Unless you’re into decorations! Still it’s an expensive decoration.

I have tried two different 12 volt power supply’s and it appears to run for a minute or two then it burns up the power supply’s…now I’m out an additional $40.00….I’m really bummed about this product!

I loved this but after reading the reviews – I purchased the extra 2 year warranty. The cooler didn’t even make it 1 year. I had to send it back at my expense ($149) they said just send it back without an authorization number. I did. From the tracker number they received it 3 weeks ago. I called Koolatron and they had no record of the return. Save yourself the aggravation. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CUTE COOLER.. I am out the purchase price, the warranty price, the shipping back price and the cooler.
UPDATE: Just received cooler back and it doesn’t even work. What a headache!

You might find this interesting, taken right from the pdf manual for this model: The unit is not designed for continuous use, after maximum use of 48 hours, the unit must be turned
off for 1 hour.
Would have been nice to know that before I purchased the two of these pieces of junk. These units have a very hard time holding temperature cold enough to keep beverages cold, read temperature in celsius and not farenheit, if turned off I have experienced it turning on intermittently, both mine died within 3 months and now read a error code of E2 and will not cool at all.

This is a cool retro theme fridge. Some have the coke trademark on the side. Some have a Drink coke bottle”. The controls are convenient and I like the blue led compartment illumination. You can store 28 cans, BUT DON’T. covering the air vent will destroy the fridge. Keep on high if you want real cooling. Here’s the rub. I have yet never got one to work past 6 months. THEY ALL HAVE BROKEN DOWN. The warranty is 90 days. You pay ship. Most times either the power brick fails or the fridge quits. Period, end of story. You then buy another one. Forget calling customer service. Remember, don’t worry about decals or graphics. If you want a large paperweight or decoration this is the way to go. If you want a fridge GUARANTEED TO BREAK buy one.

This fridge is so cute but is very noisy and does not cool. It’s more like a cooler than a fridge. Need to return it since not able to deal with the noisy and my drink doesn’t get cold.

I tested out 2 of these, and both may have gotten down to about 38 degrees Fahrenheit (in a 70 degree room). Really can’t complain too much…the manual says it’ll go down to 36 degrees. I haven’t tested out it’s warming capabilities though. It’s not bad for a 40 watt cooling machine…I was just kinda hoping it would go down to about 32 or 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually within a 2 day use the cooling vent will start to freeze up a little – so I turn the machine off for about 30 minutes to defrost it (no big deal). What won me over is it’s looks & features – window door, digital display, inside light, and size & design. On the both that I tested the digital display goes a little haywire sometimes, but then usually corrects itself.
