In a studio apartment a lot of living gets done in one room. My last rug was more expensive (couldn’t be much LESS expensive than this one) but it just wasn’t getting clean enough from from vacuuming and the occasional carpet cleaner. I decided to just replace it to freshen the place up. This one had the right color-way and I figured – for this price it’s not a huge commitment. I’m m really pleased with it. It didn’t have any chemical odor and flattened nicely overnight weighted on the two corners that were rolled within.

Pros- Beautiful looking rug/design for the price. Cons- Extremely wrinkled after unrolling from box!!! Not a padded rug so do not have this expectation unless purchasing a pad for underneath.
Solution for wrinkles: I left rug out for a few days to about a week to let wrinkles come out. You’ll likely need to set some larger and heavier objects on the rug to help flatten it out. I also used a type of carpet tape that works wonders. The rug is now completely flat and beautiful with the tape.

I absolutely love the rug itself. It was just what I wanted for under my kitchen table. Unfortunately that corner will not stay down. I have tried everything. Wet it down, folded it the opposite way, put heavy books on top of it and I even took a towel and put an iron to it. I like the rug because it was not very thick and was harder to Trip on unfortunately with this corner I have to put the whole rug away when my parents come to visit cause they can’t lift their legs as high and they have stumbled on it. It’s been very durable but I guess you get what you pay for.

I purchased 2 of these rugs 3 weeks ago. They arrived so tightly wrapped and 3 weeks later (despite putting weights on all ends to keep the curled up corners down) they do not sit flat on the floor. Also there is no backing and they slide around the floor. Not sure why this company doesn’t get it and find a different way to package this product instead of rolling them up so tightly. I don’t think these will ever lay flat. Going to return them – not worth the hassle.

It’s very pretty and is as advertised. It is made in Egypt so that’s a plus. It was very tightly rolled up in the packaging so it took a couple of weeks to flatten out and there is a sticker on the back which is almost impossible to remove. I am still very pleased with this purchase.

Ugh I really want to like this rug but it’s driving me crazy. I’ve had it for months now and it’s annoying. It has never laid flat – the ends are STILL curling, even after all this time. We’ve tried vacuuming, laying big books on it, rolling it the opposite direction, etc. It’s still curling on the ends. I’m not going to return it but it might get replaced if we can’t figure out how to get it lay flat. Very disappointing.

Great rug for the price paid. The colours aren’t vibrant but blend nicely with my floor. It’s isn’t necessarily plush or anything, but a nice entry way rug. It slides so we put antislip tape on the bottom (or get an antislip runner). It came rolled up very tightly and I had to set heavy items on the ends for a while to make it sit flat. I have had to do it a few times on the one end as it wants to curl a bit. So far so good after the last time I did that. Overall very pleased to have found this rug for the price!

The smell that came from the rug was SO strong that I absolutely had to buy an ionizing air filter. The return was too difficult so I did work through the smell issue while trying to give it away. That said, I tried to put it outside in the sun (for multiple days 8 hours at a stretch), I tried baking soda and vacuuming several times, I finally broke down and put it in garage with ionizer for at least 3 days. I know this smell is common but it was difficult, so difficult that nobody would take the rug.
ALL OF THAT and the smell finally went away, it looks as expected so we did end up keeping it so adding a star.

This arrived much sooner than I expected (within 3 weeks of ordering) and is true to colour. I’d recommend giving it a thorough once-over with a vacuum when you first lay it down as it does have a bit of an odd smell (probably just from being wrapped in the plastic). It’s a thin rug, so you might opt for an underlay, but it’s heavy enough on its own that it doesn’t move around too easily. A great rug for the price! I attached two photos that show what it looks like in our kitchen. Search heyjuliarae on instagram to see the grey version of this rug in my office.
Edit: I purchased the 8×10 version originally when the price was set at $100. Not sure it’s worth the current price of $229…

Pros: The rug is really pretty. It’s the perfect size for my foyer. The colors are perfect for not being able to see any dirt being tracked in. I also like that the design is classic/timeless.
Cons: The corners roll up and my guests kept tripping on them. I had to purchase an extra item that you stick under the corners to keep them from rolling up. Usually a rug will eventually lay flat if you give it a little time, but this one didn’t. The rug’s also very thin and moves around easy, so I also had to purchase a thick gripper pad to go under it to make it feel a little softer and to keep it in place.
Overall the rug is pretty, but not functional on it’s own until you purchase the extra items to fix it’s flaws.

I ordered the 8×10 in green, with the expectation it would cover the center portion of my floor, after deciding to transition from carpet to hardwood. Purchased and received within 2 days…FAST! The colors are stunning. Very classy. Cream white, slate blue and muted green is bright (not dark or dingy) The pile is low…but very soft. Does NOT feel cheap or stiff. My Bissell sweeper work great for in between vacuuming. The price is great too! Loved it so much that I decided to order the same rug in another 8×10 and the large runner. We updated or entire living room/dining room combo for roughly 225.00! I will update my review with photos when I finish paint and putting my room back together!

We bought this rug just to go under our bed since we have hardwood floors but when it came, it looked nothing like the photo. We thought it was grey but it’s actually blue grey and brown and yellow. It has more of a Native American feel to it with all the triangular shapes. It is not soft at all, but you get what you pay for. I think next time we will just go for a solid color.

It looks darker in person, colors are not quite as light as the picture. I ordered the gray which in the picture looks light gray, ivory and light brown. The rug is much darker than the actual picture shown and looks more of a blue/gray and the brown is dark not light. It’s really pretty and thick enough and I had no creases! Easy to clean Even though I wanted a lighter rug, I’m glad it ended up being darker than what I expected. It’s a high traffic area so I’m glad I kept it!
