Garlic is such an important nutrient. I started taking garlic before it became popular. I am so glad it is prized now. I first started traveling with it so I would never have any of the intestinal imbalances many people encounter. I only take 6 a day when I’m home. When I travel I take 4 with every meal. If you read about the benefits – you will consider it a staple.

My doctor recommended garlic supplement to help lower cholesterol, but something totally unexpected happened. I’m an old guy who has struggled with acne all my adult life, and have been going to dermatologist for decades. It was an embarrassing fact, when he told me that I was his oldest patient, still struggling with acne. Long story short, on about the third day of taking the garlic, I noticed late in the night that a breakout I had on my chin was beginning to heal. I take antibiotics for flareups, but only when they are bad, and in this case, it wasn’t bad enough for antibiotics. I was totally puzzled, and then it dawned on me, that I just started taking the garlic supplement. I googled garlic, and sure enough, it’s known for its anti-inflammatory properties. I’ve been taking the garlic for several months and when breakouts start, they are knocked down fast. I wish I would have known about garlic decades ago!

I am big fan of Solgar supplements. Great quality and wide range of options. These garlic gels are great. All goodness of garlic but without bad smell. I don’t experience any stomach issues after these nor do I smell . I do recommend

I’m sure that this product works well for those who can tolerate it, but, the 1 star review is for the reaction only, not for the product. 1 star reviews grab the attention of those who look at supplement reviews to see if a bad reaction has occurred or not, hence, why I gave it one star.
Note, I’ve had the same vitamin regimen for years now. I take ten different supplements every day but they have been consistent and this was the first new thing that I’ve added.
Wanting to boost my immune system, I bought a bottle of this.
Day 1 – I took one perle. Over the next 12 hours, I had full body flushing. You know that feeling you get when you take a B vitamin complex that has a lot of Niacin in it? That’s how it felt. I felt really hot. Nothing that I did helped. I was sweating but it was manageable. At this point, I didn’t think that this garlic supplement was related to my flushing and assumed that I was just having an off day. It had been getting hotter and more humid here (I live in the south) so I assumed that maybe the temperature was to blame. Also, I had a really bad headache that was merging on turning into a migraine. Once again, I just assumed it was something else and didn’t connect the dots yet.
Day 2 – Still unaware that it was the garlic that gave me the bad reaction, I doubled my dose and took two perles that day like it said I could do on the bottle. Oh boy. This time, I was twice as hot as I was the day before. TMI alert – I sweat through my socks, my bra was soaked, and I was feeling like I was on fire. This feeling did not subside all day. This time, I also developed a really bad migraine. Every part of my body felt extremely hot. I eat a lot of spicy foods and don’t even get this much flushing from eating something extremely spicy.
Day 3, 4, and 5 – Over the next three days after discontinuing the garlic supplement, it returned to business as usual. I take my usual daily supplements, minus the garlic, and haven’t had any flushing or migraines since.

I started taking Garlic Oil Perles years ago when I kept getting sinus infections that incapacitated me. Since taking 3 Garlic Oil Perles each day at breakfast, I have not gotten sinus infections. I have no intention of not taking them because I hated how I felt when I had sinus infections. I easily swallow them with a cup of hot tea after I eat my breakfast.

I’ve taken other garlic supplements before. Usually, I end up emitting garlic smell. These don’t seem to do that. My wife is really happy about that.

I’ve been taking 2 capsules for 11 days and my blood pressure has decreased amazingly well. At my prenatal appointments, I was running in the 140’s/high 70’s-80’s. After less than 2 weeks, I measured 120/70. I have battled increased blood pressure since the my last pregnancy 6 years ago. This is the only thing that has made such a marked difference.
