Stunning picture and very good quality, was challenging in the very beginning but once you get into the swing of it it’s fine.

I’m so sorry to have to leave a less-than-stellar review because the design of this puzzle is really gorgeous – saturated color, crisp detail, gold foil, etc. But the pieces themselves are very low-quality. I’d say about 10% of them were already frayed (that is – have the layers begin to separate at the edges) when I opened the package. They seem to accidentally get stuck together easily and are hard to separate without doing damage. I really enjoy doing puzzles again and again, but feel that this one will be quickly damaged by taking it apart once I’m done putting it together. I’d much rather spend a few more dollars for something that would last the test of time.

Lovely jigsaw, quite enjoyable to complete. Quality printing, handy separate print to refer to, which I like. Unfortunately, in my case, the pieces were not precisely cut, and therefore difficult to separate which resulted In a few pieces being bent and slightly twisted, which was a shame. It may be a one off, 90% satisfied.

Very strange. We just finished putting this puzzle together and had suspected we were missing one piece – a bright yellow. We looked under the rug and furniture.. nothing. So when we’d finished to the last piece – there was one piece left – but it had nothing to do with this puzzle. It obviously came from a totally different style. We wonder if it’s like the golden ticket in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory… maybe we’re going to get a special prize. Sheesh….. overall – the quality of the puzzle is nice, but missing out on the satisfaction of completing it was disappointing.

This puzzle is beautiful! I love space and astrology and astronomy and the gold foil actually really helps in connecting pieces, since a lot of the pieces look quite similar. If you’re a puzzle fan like me this is a great choice. I unfortunately lost a piece, I think one of my dogs might have gotten to it 🙁 However the company is very nice and are sending me a replacement so I can finish my puzzle. I plan on sealing it and hanging it up as art!

This is such a high quality puzzle. The image is clear and beautifully adorned with metallic/golden features which really brighten it up. The puzzle itself snaps easily into place and each piece is sturdy and well constructed.

I love jigsaw puzzles. I do a lot of jigsaw puzzles and I own A LOT of jigsaw puzzles.
I have to say that this was my favorite jigsaw puzzle ever. It helps that I also love books and love to read. But this puzzle was such a pleasure to put together. Just the right amounts of challenge and ease. Not too easy but not so challenging that you need to quit and take breaks. And it’s beautiful too. Plus you get a good chuckle when you put the books together and get to read their cute and punny titles.

As an avid and very picky jigsaw puzzler, let me tell you that this is one of the most fun I’ve done in a long time. From the quality of the pieces to the overall design to the unique gold foil details, this puzzle delivers at a price that can’t be beat.
I recently threw a brunch, and a few guests lingered at the end to chat over a final cup of coffee. So, I brought this puzzle out thinking that it would be fun to absentmindedly put a few pieces together while we talked…
…Nearly 2 hours later, the 4 of us sitting around the table had made some serious progress on this puzzle and no one wanted to leave. And this is saying a lot considering that 2 of those guests generally consider themselves to NOT be fans of puzzles.
So the bottom line is this: I liked this puzzle so much that I fully intend to purchase the rest of the Galison gold foil puzzles. If you’re a puzzle fan, do yourself a favor and buy this one.
Puzzle quality: high
Puzzle difficulty: low
Puzzle enjoyability: high
Please note that the gold foil is not a true gold foil like you would find on fancy card stock; instead, it is more of a subtle metallic overlay. Still very nice though.

This is a great jigsaw. The quality is top-notch – thick, individually shaped pieces that click together and then hold in place so that your jigsaw is stable if you have to move it up and down the table, and you can be confident whether each piece is in the right place. The pattern is very entertaining and relatively easy for a 1000 piece jigsaw because you can sort the pieces by the colour of each book and then identify them further through writing and other patterns. This also makes it lots of fun to do (who wants to spend hours trying to figure out where lots of identically coloured and shaped pieces of sky belong? Not me!). As soon as I finished it I wanted to rip it apart and start over. The foil and bold colours also make for a beautiful picture when completed and I enjoyed the puns on the book covers. All in all a great purchase and I will look to this company again for my next jigsaw.

IF I COULD I’D GIVE IT 3.56 STARS I WOULD AND I DID. Okay, we are anti-coronavirusing and ordering/plowing through puzzles like it’s OUR JOB. I think it’s still crazy that my husband and youngest one sees puzzling (is that a word?) as a non-spoken activity but still deems it family time. Meanwhile I’m basically carrying on a monologue with ZERO feedback from my supposedbly (name that TV show) loved ones. Anyhoo… I have to say that Galison is usally good. I have the feathers one, a Frank Lloyd Wright one…two of the popsicles because I’m an idiot and bought it twice and they all have been GOOD (note to self: I need to write a review). GOOD PUZZLES as in high quality pieces, pictures that don’t separate from the cardboard, pieces that feel right when they click/match up. Which leads me the vintage pencils, OY. Where should I start? Oh yes, opposite day of the other Galison ones I bought. But let’s start with the good: Love the photo of the vintage pencils, love the searching and separating the colors and font. The gold foil pieces/backs of the pencil which holds the eraser thingee is a PITA to find but hey, that’s why it’s a good puzzle and not one for dodo birds (another puzzle picture opportunity – you’re welcome Galison folks). The bad: The pieces coming out of the box felt, as my kids would say it – weak. It doesn’t feel high quality. Kinda like a step above dollar store grade stuff you know what I mean? Also, The pieces kind of fit but not really but well kind of wait maybe… No, it doesn’t fit. And when you try to “unlock”/”unpiece” (clearly I need to be acquainted with puzzle terminology) the photo part kinda separates which is HIGHLY STRESSFUL. Like Galison folks, I’m already stuck at home with my hubby, 14 year old and 18 year old (note that she is not partaking in puzzling bc she’s a fun pre-adult who likes to blame us/me for the state of the world) and 20 year old (that came back from college and is quarantined in our master bedroom and pokemoning or whatever the gaming scene is these days)….CAN YOU NOT ADD MORE ANXIETY TO MY LIFE BY JUST SMACKING EXTRA GLUE ONTO THE PHOTO? Anyhow you can clearly see I’m not going insane staying at home. Oh yeah, Also puzzles are stressful people. How many times do I swear WE ARE MISSING PIECES? Like the act of puzzling is already anxiety ridden enough the least you can do is make high quality pieces that have a good puzzle hand feel (see? I’m good at puzzle jargon yes I am. Though that term has obvs double entendre there. Soz will keep it PG-13), pieces that click properly and surely and adamantly, and when you have to unclick/unpuzzle it surely you shouldn’t live through 1000 moments (not a hyperbole, it is a 1000 piece puzzle amirite) of the photo separating from the meh cardboard that it is haphazardly glued to. Oh yeah and there are like a few puzzle pieces which are like “WHAT DID THEY DO THERE?” Normal. Normal. Normal. WHOA NELLY. Okay, Phew it fit but someone got preettty sloppy on qc-ing the normal looking-ness of puzzle pieces. So yeah, 3.56 stars. Sorry. I will continue buying Galison just bc, you know, home quarantine but am hoping the other Galison will be good like the others I have yet to write a review for. Okay bye!

I’ve worked on many jigsaw puzzles over the years, and must say that this is definitely the best- produced one I’ve seen. Absolutely no dust, perfectly cut, with a smooth white backing. The colors are beautiful and the gold foil accents add both richness and complexity. Will definitely be buying more from Galison when they’re back in stock!
