Product was shipped quickly. Quality was decent for the price. But unfortunately the drill bit that were in the kit were not as advertised. I believe I am missing one of the drill bits. The kit I recieved had three identical drill bits, and non of the drill bits fit the sanding bands that were provided.

So i am updating this review and my rating for this item for two reasons. The company cares enough about their consumer that when they revamped the drill, addressing the reasons i had for not liking it, they contacted me. They asked me if i was willing to try the newer version at a deeply discounted price.
I find this care for customer satisfaction very refreshing!
This revamped drill is great! Nice cord length, rests nicely in the hand, minimal vibration even at the faster rpms. It doesn’t heat up with use and is very quiet. As a professional nail artist i am happy to add this to my list of favorite and recommended tools.

I am not a nail tech but I was looking for a drill to make my new hobby of doing my own dipping powder. I read a lot of reviews and bought this one primarily because I can get ceramic nail bits to fit it. The drill is very easy to use and I did not have any fear of hurting my nail beds with it. I am very happy with my purchase.

J’avais Hésite a acheté celui ci ….

Nice little home drill. Not as powerful as the professional one but it does the job. Only one issue the on/off switch is on the wire too far and awkward to Manoeuvre with one hand while working on your other hand. Also the on off switch is very flimsy and weak the tiny slider can break easily and you’d be screwed. There should have been an on of button directly on the drill.

Get into this!!! First time working with nail products and this drill helps me sooooo sooo much. Yes I have red the reviews and the drill works perfectly fine! There’s a warranty with this drill so you can get a new drill if yours was infected!

I purchased this because I started doing my own gel nails at home. I’ve only used once so far but works well. The drill is a small, sturdy little piece, it has some good weight to it. Comes with 100 sanding bands which is nice. However, I am not sure if this product is authentic as it did not come in a Melody Susie box or with Melody Susie instructions.

I have had many nails drills in the past (battery operated) but this is by far the best one I’ve ever owned! I love this handy little drill. The only negative I can think of is the cord is slightly short. Also if you don’t have a USB plug you’re SOL since it doesn’t come with one but fortunately I have many of them. For the price this is a great nail drill with all the bits you need. It even comes with a nail buffer that works great! It also comes with a nail brush and cuticle clippers that are very well made. My favorite part of this drill is that it has a speed option. You can set it lower to drill your real nails (so that you don’t drill too much and hurt yourself) or you can set it higher to drill acrylic nails. I love this drill and I highly recommend it!

So disappointed. Yes the item is cute and small but does not do what it is suppose to!
Firstly the whole thing heats up so hot that u can’t even hold it. The top part stops spinning almost like it gets stuck. Using a nail file works way better and stronger than this. I’m not sure if I got a faulty product or what….don’t know how the reviews here are so good.
Sad it didn’t live up to its expectations just cause it was nice and small compared to the one my friend has. Returning it! And have ordered a different one

I had a expensive drill that broke . It was pretty good but this one for way less was beyond what I expected ,I would say they are both on the same level. In no way shape or form am I a nail tech but I’ve self taught myself on myself & lil sis only , on& off for the past 10 years. I absolutely loveee this drilll now let’s see if it last. Thanks so much. Still going strong like a pro and doesn’t stop at all with pressure , unicorn nails with no problem.

Like some of the other reviewers who thought the product died after the first use, I was very aggravated initially. But later in the day I decided to give it another try and realized the directions were wrong. 2 seconds is only enough to turn it on the first time, after that it must be held for about 5 seconds, and it turns on every time now. The drill does stop turning when too much pressure is applied and will shut off for a couple minutes if this is done too often. I thought this meant the product was cheap and was even more aggravated upon first use, but later realized it is probably to prevent an inexperienced user (me) from “burning” the nail bed area bc of too much friction. It works best with a smooth tapping motion rather than consistent pressure. You need pressure with a manual nail file – not an electric drill lol.
Overall I am very happy with the results, My nails look SO clean and perfect – I got it mainly for my tedious cuticle areas which looked (and felt) like I went at them with a hacksaw after using a cuticle nipper. But it worked great with helping with the removal of my gel polish too 😊
I did not use the supplied drill bits bc they are carbide, I purchased a separate pack on amazon of “diamond” drill bits for under 5 bucks. They worked great.
The incorrect long press instructions are why I am deducting one star, I was afraid to press longer for fear I might break the drill at first, but later when I was on the verge of returning it – I just said F it and pressed until I the darn thing turned on!

I know I got a paper stating I had some warranty but I can’t seen to find it. The bottom came off of my drill, it twists off but you’re not supposed to be opening it. After using the drill for a few weeks I noticed it was loose and I tried twisting it back on but it doesn’t twist back on and still feels loose. I can’t use it because I’m afraid while I’m doing nails the bottom will come off and that’s where the cord is attached to.
EDIT: Customer Service reached out to me and are sending me a new drill. They said the drill I had was defective. I didn’t think it’d be a huge deal but I am actually excited to receive the new drill and start using it again. Thank you customer service!

I rarely write reviews because I simply don’t have the time, but I had to make an exception for this Melody Susie Compact Nail Drill. For years I looked for a drill that would perform the way that the ones at the salon do on acrylic nails, but for a way cheaper cost. I had no luck there because the reviews for the lower cost items were bad, and the ones with the good reviews were the more expensive professional ones. After reading reviews on here about this Melody Susie drill, I decided to give it a try. Using it for the first time I am absolutely impressed!!!
It runs through acrylic just like the ones at the salon when it’s set at the highest RPM, light weight, easy to manage, and barely got warm after drilling down all 10 acrylic nails. This drill it totally worth it… it’s an awesome product that does exactly what I needed a drill to do, but a a fraction of the cost. I attached a video to show just how powerful it is. Salon quality in my opinion.
You will notice that it skipped on a nail a couple times in the video, but that was not because of the drill being “too fast” or being “too weak to get through the acrylic” or being “hard to manage”, it was only because of the awkward position I had to hold my hand in placed under the phone, so that I could record the video.
