    ***UPDATED REVIEW***
I loved this cable at first. It really did great. I bought this in Jan 2021 and, in April 2021, it has completely stopped working. No signal from the cable at all. I am really disappointed. I do not know what the life span of a cable should be but I really thought longer than this. Now I am back to dropped video calls. Sigh.
***BELOW IS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW, I HAVE CHANGED NOTHING IN IT***
Working from home, using Wi-Fi from the cable company, LOTS of dropped conference calls. So many dropped meetings that my entire team referred to it as “the Hillbilly Internet” (I do live pretty far out in the country but it is cable). I bought this cable as a last resort. I have not had one dropped call since using it (about a month at the time of this review). Works great!

Great quality cable at a great price although speeds are off (see photo and details below).

Ethernet cable arrived with plastic brackets and nails to nail the cable down if choosen to do so (nice addition). Quality of the cable is nice although I am not sure if it is safe enough to use for outdoor or running underground in grass. I would recommend a thicker or stronger layer of PVC for that but thats just my two cents.

After running speed tests using this 50ft Cat 8 cable, my laptop’s wireless adapter (Intel AC 8265), and a 6ft Cat 5e cable, I found that there were greater speeds achieved with the Cat 5e cable. I have attached a screenshot as proof as well. It could possibly be due to loss in signal as it is a 50ft compared to the Cat 5e 6ft cable as well. The Cat 8 cable was still able to achieve great results on the 1Gbps signal tested. Although no screenshot for another test I ran, I was able to achieve better results when compared to a 50ft Cat 5e cable.

Overall a great cable for the price.

Very disappointed as I could tell immediately upon opening the package that this was not CAT8, in fact it was CAT6 in a CAT8 package. If you’re looking for a quality cable that is CAT8 don’t order this product. The worst part is now I’d have to go through the return process for a refund in order to get what I should have received in the first place.

Amazon suggested this cable and I did a little research to make sure that I understood what a cat8 cable could offer. Although I’m not the kind of user that these cables were made for, I will be – in the near future – needing the fastest transfer speeds possible for uploading video files. I don’t know if using an online speed test is a reliable way of testing the efficiency of this cable, but my ‘ping’ rate went from 22ms to 13, 12, 14, (I tested my internet speeds at different times over an hour on a Saturday night, early evening, when online traffic in my area is normally under heavy use, which slows down my internet service) my download speeds went from averaging in the 130’s to averaging 270Mbps, and my upload speeds went from 10.73 to 11.79Mbps. I had been using a cat5 cable and was not getting any where near those speeds so I am very happy with this cable! My searched pages load faster than I have ever noticed. I bought two (the first one is for my 2017 27″Mac, the second, for my backup Lenovo tower) and achieved even better results on the Lenovo. For the price, I’m very happy with the results! I don’t know if more expensive cables would make a difference but these seem to be well-made enough for my needs and I would definitely purchase these again!

I bought this to replace my CAT5e cable because i needed a longer cable and I went from 650mbps download to 95mbps download with this horrible cable….. Do not trust the reviews like I did. I will be sending it back

This cable worked brilliantly. I had to ensure that I had a strong connection for streaming a live event from my house to the garage where I had to be to attend. It was for Tony Robbins UPW, and so I couldnt be in my house because I would be making too much noise. I streamed that live event for 12 hours a day without one single problem. There were two other internet users in my house while I was streaming as well. The security of knowing I would have a strong connection was worth the cost of the cable.

The plastic connector broke so it doesn’t click into place and it can just slide out easily. It was working well before that though. I have old cat5 cables that are more durable than this. I rarely unplugged from my pc but had to do it recently as I had to get inside. When I plugged the cable into the port, it did not snap in. Very disappointed that this broke so easily. I can’t really recommend this product now.

I always love having the best cable for my internet connection that i possibly can.
I was using a Cat5E cable before this, and it got me better download speeds without effecting my latency.

I’m using this for my PS4 Pro. It made a huge difference compared to the common RJ45 cable (CAT 5). I have 200Mbs internet and the PS4 is reading it as 122Mbs. Before it only read as 55ish. I download Destiny 2, an 80 GB game, in 44 minutes. I also have a SSD installed on my PS4.

Product description says fine for in wall use. However, cable jacket lacks any in wall certification. When I asked manufacturer about this I never got a reply. Makes me question everything else they are describing this cable as…

I recently upgraded my ISP (Comcast) speed but was disappointed to see no corresponding upgrade in my actual internet speed.

I decided to take a chance and purchase this cat8 ethernet cable to see if I would notice a speed increase.

The experiment worked: I went from about 20 mbps on wifi to over 110mbps using the cat8 cable. That’s a 550% increase in measured download speed!

There are other variables that limit my internet browsing experience so it is not true 110mbps.

Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the quality of this ethernet cable and the resulting speed increase.

So I finally listened to my boyfriend and got an Ethernet cable for my Xbox, from the living room to my bedroom. I used to disconnect so much and lag and just blame it on my internet, like Halo was literally unplayable I’d disconnect every 5 minutes. So I bought this and OMG! It’s incredibly easily to set up, it took me less than 10 minutes, and my connection is so damn good now. I have zero lag on games like battlefield 5, overwatch, dead by daylight, halo, and yeah you get the point. Also my downloading speed is so fast now. This thing has changed my gaming experience for the better by far omg I’m so happy with it ❤️ Don’t hesitate buying this!

This is a great product. All Ethernet cables are not created equal. I was using an old cable I had for many years. I called my cable provider to chew them out because I was not getting the proper upload or download speed they promised. I do a lot of gaming and I kept losing my signal. Very frustrating when you’re playing online. After my internet provider told me everything was working on their end. I decided to investigate in a new cable. I had no idea what to get. So decided on newest and current tech of the day. So a Cat 8 cable must be better than Cat 7,6, or 5. I am so happy. My upload speeds went from a consistent 1.3 Mbps to 9.3/10.1ish. And my download speeds went from 250s Mbps to 335/386ish (I pay for 400 Mbps) depending on time of day. But most importantly, NO interruptions. I have not lost a signal since I replaced it. It’s a great deal
