I really like the design and performance. If I had to complain about anything… the cap will slide onto the back end when in use, but it is not overly secure, I’m afraid it will fall off and get lost so I just set it aside in a good place. Given that, the drives are identical without the colored cap so you have to keep track of which is which. For me, if that’s all I have to complain about, this is an excellent product. I have already made a repeat purchase and will buy again if I need any more flash drives.

This was an amazing deal on a great quality and usually much more expensive storage device. I was really happy with the value and the functionality of the product and the only issue I had was the shipping delay, which ended up in my delivery being 4 days past the 2-day prime guaranteed timeframe, which would have been an issue if I had needed it right away for business. Luckily I had some spare back-up devices on hand, but I think the low price made up for the wait time.

Lexar Jump Drives are the all time best!!! I’m a writer and I love saving my work, as well as the pictures I take on my IPhone to these drives. I love the reliability and the size and the GB capacity. I’ve bought some questionable jump drives in my day and Lexar is what I keep coming back to again and again. And they just keep on improving. Great company and product!!

The colored caps are basically useless and you will lose them. The pictures show that you can put them on either end, but this is dishonest. They only actually *snap* onto the USB side. On the “back” side they loosely slide on as pictured but there is no way to snap them on. It’s not even a snug fit, you can’t even really say they do fit as anything other than a technicality, there are ridges on the inside of the lid that block any semblance of a snug fit and minimize the area of contact so that they are as loose as it is possible to engineer something to be. They will blow off in a gentle breeze, a slight vibration, when a butterfly flaps its wings, or the collapse of a star millions of light years away causes a slight ripple in gravitational waves.
It is a good thing these drives are USB3 and transfer data fast, because that will help make up for the time you spend hunting for these stupid endcaps after they inevitably fall off and go bouncing around the room.
The best part is that the caps are the only colored part, so when (not if) you finally lose them, there is no other way to distinguish the drives and you’ll just be left with 3 generic looking white USB drives.
Absolutely pointless and stupid design.

OK not the fastest speeds I’ve seen. I checked this item using all the provided software at my disposal. It did seem to register as a 3.0 drive. With that said the speeds left a lot of be desired. For the price you really can’t argue with 84gbs. Yes once you format it, it will show up as a 28gb flash drive.

They’re inexpensive and work well so far (though report 28GB per drive), but like most thumb drives they’re slow when writing files. Writes at about 1 minute per GB, so it will take about a half hour to fill this drive up. They read about twice as fast.

This IS the one if you are only looking for robust storage – sturdy body material and decent speed.
Avoid this if you are looking for color-coding solution so you can manage too many drives on hand.
It was my bad I didn’t pay attention to the description and other people’s reviews. I bought this 3-piece package so I can burn different OS installers (Windows,MacOS, Ubuntu) to each of them. I thought I can easily distinguish them by the color. Unfortunately, only the caps are color-coded. All the drive body are white. Once you take off the caps, you don’t know which one is which.
That been said, the drives come with high quality plastics, and the read/write speed are decent.
Maybe it fits you. But it didn’t meet my personal need.

Haven’t used them yet but I’m sure they will work just fine. Just need to make sure that these jump drives are formatted before being used for the first time. Regular format for transfters 4GB transfers, as per my understanding about these thumb drives.

I had purchased 2 for the purpose of installing Linux distros on them. I had them 1 day and not one but both failed. I tried to use them on a MacBook and windows machine to make sure it wasn’t my computer. They didn’t work on any of them and windows said they were defective. I am returning these and will never buy a Lexar device again. Very disappointed!

For three little Lexars, this is a great price. Helped me lighten things up for my laptop’s processor and feel secure knowing the shows I loved were safe on a USB.
There’s a guy in these reviews who got super fussy about the lid caps not fitting…? They fit just fine and clip on like they’re supposed to. Grab this deal while it’s such a steal.

This seems like a good value product, but my main concern with USB drives is protecting them, since I mostly carry them around in my pocket until needed.
Now, to be fair, this cap does a decent job of staying on while in my pocket. Snug fit, etc.
HOWEVER, for some unknown reason, when they designed the cap for this, they made it to fit snugly while not in use, but while it does fit on the opposite end when you are using it — it is completely loose and does not stay on. In other words, you will most likely lose the cap.
Lexar, what were you thinking??
