This 64GB Lexar Professional 1066 Compact Flash card only had 14.8 GB of capacity, as measured by my camera and computer. Clearly not genuine AND it was actually supplied by Amazon (from the USA). No word of apology or explanation. I’ve got a refund, but very disappointed with Amazon and will avoid any more purchases.

Because I already own four Lexar CF cards, I didn’t bother reading the reviews for the ones sold on Amazon, simply because I already know I love them. But because mine are four years old, I felt the need to upgrade, so as to prepare for possible failure of the old cards. Imagine my surprise when I put a new card into my Canon 5D Mark III, shot an ENTIRE session, and come to find there’s an error on the card, and while in camera, the ‘cannot playback image’ message is displayed. While in the card reader on my desktop, the card also fails to open the image, with a message saying ‘it’s a file that’s not supported.’ It’s a CR2 file, and one that’s supported not only by my desktop, but also by my photo software (Lightroom). If you are planning on buying a Lexar card, please do it from a reputable photography shop, because it seems these are hit or miss(I read the recent reviews after my experience). I will definitely be returning both cards that I purchased and ordering from a company other than Amazon (which is not responsible for the bad batch, but I have no interest in getting another corrupt or defective card). Because Lexar comes with photo recovery, I am attempting to recover the images that are as of now not-readable, but the cards will be returned once that attempt has been made. Please note, that I am not an amateur photographer, and yes, I did format the card IN CAMERA before attempting to use it. I will continue buying Lexar brand, but not through Amazon. So add me to all of the one star users that got a bad card and has to return it. Hopefully I can recover the images lost. Jeers to Lexar for producing a bad batch of failed and defective cards.

Never let me down. I go to airshows, racetracks and do landscape. Will buy more. Had San Disk as well price makes me decide which one to buy. Only have to replace one when I manage to lose one.

My experience was unfortunate and I do not know what to do because this product supposedly performs better then Sandisk.

I purchased this Item on 11/4/2018 received the next day opened it up and already noticed the suspicious quality of the CF cards print, as well as the flimsy body. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tested it on my Canon 5D Mark II, when attempting to record video it lagged to start and cut a few seconds later. I then put in an old 32gb Sandisk Extreme with an advertised write speed of 120 MB/s and it performed smoothly. I was greatly disappointed, especially it being from Amazon Services, Inc.

I called and requested a return and replace, I received the second card today 11/7/2018 and it was a fake as well.
So, I never got to try the actual product and this review is for the disappointing reliability of Amazon right now. It feels like a gamble and its a terrible waste of time that has me frustrated because I have to shoot this weekend. I put up two photos of what I received from Amazon Services, inc, for everyone to spot the fake. I’m going to try B&H possibly.
I hope it doesn’t happen to you.

    – Update: 11/11/208 –

I needed a reliable CF card before Saturday 11/10/2018 so I checked out the other sellers and seller Roberts LP had about a 99% rating for $79.99. A few buck more but it seemed legit. I got the card and noticed the difference of a fake and legit card immediately. I won’t name all the details so those scammers don’t up their game but the most obvious detail is a counterfeit has a matte print, compared to a legit card which has gloss and textured surface. The picture on the right or the one that doesn’t look cheap is the legit one. It works for me but maybe I’m still being…….scammed. If you get one return it and demand compensation for wasting your time. Good day to you all

A two week holiday and hundreds of shots taken in Tif and Raw format … with dozens of 9 bracketed HDR exposures. I took other memory cars with me in case but just never needed them! Now I just need a faster higher spec computer to open and view them all without delay … and in future my 16 and 32gb cards are not going to see much use

I can confirm this is working as advertised on my Canon 7D Mark.

I wish I never had to leave bad reviews but I got really disappointed with Lexar’s quality control as well as customer service.

As a freelance photographer, I was planning to start using CF cards in addition to SD cards so I decide to get the Lexar 32 GB CF card from Amazon. I put the CF card into my Canon 5D Mark III CF card slot, and guess what, an error message showed up after I turned on the camera. So I took the CF card out and surprisingly found that one pin inside my 5D’s CF card slot was bent (see pic). I checked the CF card and noticed one of the 50 holes seemed smaller than the others.

So I sent an email to Lexar, talked to at least 3 representatives but still couldn’t get in touch with a supervisor/manager. The only response I got was to send the CF card to them for inspection and they will decide whether or not to give me a new card, and they will not take any responsibilities for the bent pin. Now I have to spend several hundreds out of pocket to fix the CF card slot that was damaged by a $30 defective CF card. Totally not worth it. If you are going to buy this CF card, please make sure to inspect the card carefully before inserting it to your camera. Make sure to return the defective card before it hurts your camera and your wallet.
