This vacuum is really amazing! It made my daily cleaning so much easier. It is light weight and it comes with several attachments to clean areas around the house. I also like how the floor vacuum attachment has an easy maneuver wheels and the light comes in handy for cleaning corners and under the furnitures. For the price it is worth buying if your looking for an everyday vacuum cleaner.

Pros.
Fantastic with long hair as well as plastic strips, lint and similar stringy objects that can clog other vacuums.
Works well on carpets and floors.
Stands up straight against a wall.
Great battery life.
Good solid build quality.
Looks good.
Doesn’t choke on debris nearly as easily as other models we’ve had.
Cleans cup fairly easily
Attachments are worth it
Easily and smoothly swap and re-attach attachments
Can upgrade/add an extra battery if you have a Really large area to clean.
High power mode can actually remove some types of stuck on dirt too.
Cons.
Default Suction could be better but high power mode is good.
On the heavy side.
Cup may possibly not be equal to battery life (minor)
Wish more companies can make solid products like this.

The vacuum worked well for 3 weeks, then I picked up the power head and heard a snap sound. Afterwards the power head no longer sat at an angle when picked up and would instead hang straight down limply.
I contacted Shark support assuming they would cover an internal part failure after just three weeks but they told me it would not be covered. I pointed out I was a loyal customer of multiple other Shark/Ninja products and they made an offer for 50% off a replacement. Again, I said no given that it broke immediately and they should cover it. I said I would file a complaint with Amazon or start a credit card charge back instead.
At this point they offered the unit for free but I would cover the cost of shipping. I ended up taking that since it was less hassle than continuing to fight. However I am disappointed that the company would make a customer go that far over a mechanical defect on a $400 product less than a month after purchase.
Long story short, the unit worked well when new but if it breaks you can’t rely on Shark to help you out.

I have been a “vacuum connoisseur” since I was a teenager – my Mom kept a clean house and I inherited her enjoyment of a clean house. Vacuuming is my favorite house chore – it actually relaxes me, so I always enjoy having a great vacuum that is easy to use. Right now, we have four doggos – Husky/GSD/Malamute mix, Husky/GSD/Dingo mix, GSD/Cattledog mix, and a purebred Carolina Dog (American Dingo). As you can imagine – we have a LOT of fur around here. My dogs literally shed twice a year – six months in the spring and six months in the fall. 🙂 I vacuum the entire house at least once a day and sometimes twice. I’ve had several cordless vacs – two from Dyson, one from Bissell, and two from Shark. The Dysons were dismal at picking up fur, and the Bissell was worse. And don’t even get me started on the robot vacuums – we have had four (Roombas, Bobi, and Eufy) – completely ineffective and a waste of money.
I got my first Shark Rocket Pet Pro vacuum in 2017, and I can’t say enough about it! I have vacuumed up tons of fur with it, and it has always had great suction, great power, and it’s easy to keep it clean. I just replace the filters on it every month or two, and that’s all the maintenance it needs. That poor vacuum died last week (through no fault of its own). I spent three days researching cordless vacuums, and kept coming back to the Shark Rocket Pet Pro. I bought a second to replace the first, and am still in love with this vacuum. Bonus: The new one that I bought has the upgraded handle with the hook for the motor, so it can stand on its own and be easily stored.
The ONLY issue I have with this vacuum (and it’s not a huge problem): The self-cleaning brushroll is AMAZING! But – I have to stop once in a while and pull a ball of white Husky fur out of the floor attachment – the hole behind the brushroll that takes the debris up the long rod to the dustcup gets clogged (I tried to show a picture of it). When this gets blocked, the vacuum won’t pick anything up. Again, not a deal breaker, especially with the self-cleaning brushroll, but it is the one less-than-perfect aspect of this unit. And I’m probably the only one in the world with this issue, because I have my beautiful fur-factory doggos running around here. 🙂
Overall, I adore this cordless vac and will recommend it to everyone!

Less suction than I expected, but it gets the job done. Compared to other sealed systems, I think the price is fair. It probably won’t replace my corded vacuum, but works well for quick clean ups.

This is a great vacuum. Does a very good job. A little too heavy on top, but manageable.

We bought this vacuum to replace a eufy HomeVac Duo 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum with the intent for using it in a similar manner – to handle quick vacuum jobs around the house – primarily on hardwood. To our surprise the Shark not only performs very well on the hardwood, as expected, but is powerful enough to handle our carpets, which are rather thick and challenging. Even the LED light on the front is a nice added touch and helped us see and pick up more dust and dirt.
The Shark is simple overall – with a sleek design that is minimal, which makes storing it very easy – we are easily able to store this between our washer and dryer in our bathroom, nice and tucked away, but very accessible in a moments notice. Check out the first picture – the motor comes off and hooks to the bottom of the stick/vacuum head to self balance and makes for compact storage.
We have a small dog and 2 women in our house – so removing hair from vacuum cleaner heads has become something we are used to having to do every couple months. I was amazed the Shark has NO HAIR tangled in the vacuum head after 40 minutes of vacuuming, which would normally result in a tangled hair mess with the eufy. See the 2nd picture – this shows you what the vacuum head looks like after 40 minutes of vacuuming – not one hair!
The attachments that come with the Shark are very convenient and easy to snap on and off – making it easy to reach tight spaces, vacuum couches, etc. In addition the ability to attach the vacuum head directly to the motor allows us to vacuum the stairs with ease. The vacuum head is the perfect width for the stairs and it made a once tedious and annoying job easy. The 3rd picture shows the 2 setting the Shark has; one for bare floors and then ramped up power and a spinning vacuum head for carpet.
You cannot go wrong for the price – especially if you find yourself dealing with a vacuum hair always snarled in hair. You will be impressed by the power, ease of use, and overall convenience of the Shark. The only thing you may be wanting bit more of it battery life – as you find yourself getting carried away with the ease of use. Happy vacuuming!
