Pleasantly surprised with how nice they actually are. These were the only ones we could find to match the shape of the large towel bar the builder installed in our new home. They are actually sturdier than you expect. We ordered 4 (2 for each bathroom) and one came with a screw that was stripped but we got another screw for it at the hardware store for less than $1.

Really disappointed with product. Despite all the Moen branding in the product details, I don’t think it’s made by Moen. It’s only the same model as a Moen product. The ring is plastic and seems really flimsy. Will probably return.

I was using a clear command strip hook to hold a hand towel in my master bath. After a while it started to bother me having to take off and put towel back on with each use. I was trying to avoid putting holes in the wall but, removing the strip peeled the paint when it’s advertised to do the opposite. So I was happy to find this Moen towel ring for such a low price. It was actually cheaper than the command hook I was using.

I was a bit skeptical to purchase this after reading some of the negative reviews but, glad I got it anyway. It came with the hardware (screws & backplate) to install but that’s it. No instructions and no tiny screw driver to adjust the screw on the ring plate. Luckily I had an eyeglass screw kit to use. Installation was simple. It’s sturdy and looks great on my wall…much better than the hook. I was able to use this ring to cover up the peeled paint where the command hook was.

Had no hardware for installation! And no holes for hardware if they had been any ! Totally unhappy and will be sending back and requesting refund !!!

Cheap, easy to install, functional. I didn’t need (or want) anything fancy, and these do the trick nicely. We’re using them to hang everything from hand towels to bath towels. Don’t expect to hang giant wet towels on them, they just aren’t built for it, but they’re great for a hand or medium sized towel, or heavier if you don’t mind the idea of replacing it sooner.

We waited eagerly for our new towel rack!… at $42, it was NOT a throw-away item. Some reviewer who said it was a good buy at $5 may have been correct, but for whet we paid, it is a piece of crap that we do not want to have in our redone bathroom… it is cheap plastic, not “chrome” as advertised, but then we do not know the lingo of online sellers of junk like this!! The mounting hardware appears that it would not hold a wet towel, let alone some little kid hanging on it or some burly farmer trying to put the towel back on the ring!

So now, we are off to our local builder supply to be able to see and feel what we are getting.

I just spent time writing an informative review and I tried to add a picture and I lost the whole review so forgive me this won’t be as thorough. I find most DIY projects difficult but was able to read the amazon reviews with pictures that explained the particulars about mounting hardware (I used drill then screwed in) and small locking screw that is best screwed at bottom so it’s hidden and needs an itty bitty flathead screwdriver (such as for eyeglasses, cell phones or laptops) but even without instructions, I didn’t hit YouTube to explanation which is a first for me 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. This Moen chrome towel ring and I also purchased the Moen chrome toilet paper holder came in factory sealed plastic bag without instructions. I suspect this is due to the fact that originally most customers were contractors or landlords and purchase to replace old existing fixtures and know how to mount. I’m a DIY disaster on tight budget and decided to go back to original Moen to match the replacement Moen shower and Tub fixtures for my 2/2 1996 condo. I decided to pay off mortgage early in 20 years and $50k less and use that savings to pay professionals then and I’ll be an educated customer. 😂👍🏼💰🤷🏻‍♀️ Besides I’m still working on this bathroom I have to sand spackle and touch up and 101 things On the to do list but I’m still at it…LOL

Looks great! It’s easy to assemble, except you must already own a tiny flathead screwdriver. This is needed to tighten and secure it to wall. If you have an eyeglasses repair kit, you might find the correct sized flathead screwdriver you need.

So, I am quite willing to overlook the stiffness of the hanging ring because, hey, it’s a very inexpensive product – which is exactly what I needed for my little half-bath in my basement/shop. However, the real disappointment is in the attachment setup. It’s easy enough to install: Screw on the metal base, slide the ring base on over it, and tighten the little finishing screw for a snug fit … only it is NOT a snug fit. It’s wobbly. I mean, the metal base screws tightly to the wall and doesn’t budge, but the ring base doesn’t fit snugly to the metal base – there’s too much give in the width, so the darn thing wiggles and wobbles no matter how much you tighten the little finishing screw. That’s super annoying. But whatcha gonna do? It’s a $4 product, and the next most affordable was like $10 or $11, so … you decide. *shrug*

Cheapest towel holder on amazon. And believe me it does the job.
The only thing i didn’t like about this towel holder is that it didn’t come with any instructions for the newbies.
Just drill the screws, and than tight that little screw to get the towel holder sturdy.

I was suspicious because of the price, but I went ahead and bought them anyway. Plastic or something, I don’t have high hopes for longevity, but once I cleaned them they look okay. Classic interpretation of you get what you pay for.

Look, you’re paying less than $5 for a towel ring, ok? You’re not going to get top-notch lifetime warranty type of stuff but so far I’m super happy with my purchase. It looks literally as pictured. No scuffs, no marks, no digs. It was easy to install and most importantly, it holds my hand towel in place. Enough said.

Some reviews describe this ring as being plastic. It is NOT plastic, it is lightweight because it is hollow aluminum, yet is very sturdy. If you can use a pair of pliers or wield a screwdriver, you can install this easy towel ring. I did it in about 8 minutes. If you have ever repaired anything and have a logical mind, you can do this. It was easy. You will need a drill (or an awl– which is what I used– depending on the composition of the wall you are attacking), a medium Phillips screwdriver, and a 2.4 mm screwdriver for the last, locking screw. The wall in my bathroom is old, and is starting to get sandy. I used an awl to start the hole (a 10-penny nail will also work). It was very easy and worked fine, and with only a few blows, got me to the required depth of the enclosed screws. Because of the condition of the wall, I knew the screws would eventually wobble, so I squirted some Aleene’s glue (synthetic Elmer’s) into each hole, followed by a small bolus of steel wool (about the size of a pencil eraser, give or take). This is a great trick for unstable screw holes. Steel wool and Aleene’s — great stuff! I got it installed in about 8 minutes. Within a couple hours, it was absolutely ROCK SOLID !!! It’s not going anywhere! Very happy, highly recommend!
