plugged these into my corsair command pro. at first didn’t work but then i found out you have to select RGB strip and define 6 LED’s. then you can control each LED individually.

the best thing is that they daisy chain into each other so you only need to plug one in and then the others plug into the first.

the magnets are also very strong and can be moved along the strip.. the strip also comes with sticky fixings too should you need them and a few different length adapters too.

the lighting quality is excellent, not too sharp but bright enough to bath your PC in light.

best light strips i have used by far.

I really wanted to like the iCUE LS100 Smart Strips, but the LED brightness is extremely underwhelming and doesn’t come close to what is displayed in advertisements. See the provided review photo, this is at 100% brightness with a white background in ambient mode, when actual colors are used the LED light is barely noticeable.

I currently have quite a bit of corsair hardware and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed by them. I’m not sure if I received a bad unit or not, but play it safe and buyer beware. My $15 static color LED strips outshine these exponentially.

It comes with magnets stickers to hold it in place but it keeps falling because the magnets are not strong enough hold it.
I had to use electrical tape.
The setting to match whats on the screen is BS
The lights are way dimmer than the led strips that corsair sells for inside the case
There is no way to make it look like the demo corsair has on its video, I am certain that they used something different to project that lighting on the wall behind the monitor.
This is my 10th gaming pc build and corsair lighting is by far the most frustrating thing i have ever had to deal with.
IQUE is anything but user friendly, super complicated to use, every time you turn on your pc you have to reconfigure the lighting setup.
Also ICUE is a huge resource hog according to my resource monitor it uses 17% when its turned on.
    REVIEW EDITED AFTER CS COMMENT:
The comment from the Corsair rep is only meant to save face here in the customer reviews. The only option on the corsair site is a self help Q&A that conveniently avoids IQUE related questions.

these are a needed accessory if you have the rear monitor starter kit .. in my opinion they should have already come with that set seeing how expensive it is
these alone cost me 34 GBP and the starter set was 79 GBP that’s a lot for what they are
but …. they do work and work well
the software is good and controls them nicely
i did not use the magnetic adhesion pads supplied from experience they don’t work well at all
i used car number plate double sided sticky pads instead

work great very pretty just serious expensive for what they are

These lights are a disaster, sure it works nice with icue and the rest of my PC lighting however they are not bright at all and are only noticeable if your monitor is close against a white wall.

But the main problem with these is the terrible adhesive magnets that do not work at all, I cannot get these lights to stay on my monitor which makes them completly useless. I will have to order some 3m sticky adhesive pads and permanently stick them to my monitor

Saw these in a corsair email blast and wanted something to replace my ambient lighting that was aging and starting to malfunction. Plugged them in and set it up and I was a little underwhelmed. I have The LT100 kit and one expansion bar.
    The good:
    1. They are nice looking.
    2. Setup was easy. I already have all corsair peripherals so as soon as I plugged in the USB the device was recognized.
    3. Good variety of effects and linking
    The bad
1.They are not that bright the bases are pretty bright but the towers them selves not so much.
2.The towers themselves don’t lock super securely so you have to make sure and move them by the base and not let your cat lean on them.

I’ve been a corsair fanboy for awhile now. I’m typing this review on my Strafe RGB keyboard with my M65 pro mouse while wearing my Void Pro Wireless headset, that usually sits on it’s RGB headset stand. on my computer that sits in it’s corsair crystal rgb case.. I’ve been really satisified with all of these products for the price these aren’t really that great I liked the look of them because I didn’t want sticky back LED strips, but they just really aren’t nearly as bright as I expected them to be.

Edit: Ok I’m on email 8 with Corsair support at this point and have gotten nowhere…If they manage to either help me get these up to a good brightness level, or even respond somewhat intelligently I will update this review, otherwise I would skip these. Honestly this whole experience has made me question why I like corsair, part of what used to set them apart was quality and support…clearly both of those are down the drain.

Your monitor needs to be about 3 inches away from the wall to get good light, which means it needs to be on a monitor arm and not a stand. It needs to be on a white wall as there are no gamma or color boost settings in it’s video mode.

Compared to a hue play, this product is very disappointing.
It also in it’s current state has freesync issues, where the colors either don’t match or the unit flickers or both.

Lastly the expansion kit doesn’t support a single ultrawide monitor

You can only do 4 strips for 1 montior or 6 strips for 2 monitors, you can’t put 6 strips on one monitor

This is a product with surprising poor quality considering Corsair is an incredible brand.

    PROS
    – Installation is not too bad and instructions make it easy to complete
    – The diffusing light does provide a seamless light transition effect which was one of the main purchasing decisions
    – Clean integration with iCue software

    CONS
    – One string stopped working after one week. Thought maybe I got a bad line so I purchased another set, 3 weeks later, a string stopped working. (Light bar randomly flashes colors on one side, fades in and out even when no icue profile is running, etc.)
    – Magnets that hold the strips to the monitor are not strong enough (I recognize that magnets near monitors is not ideal, but they could still be stronger and have no adverse impact
    – Would prefer an adhesive option if you are making this permanent
    – Light bars are too thick compared to others on the marked. Other brands offer the diffusion ability and are thinner making for a cleaner installation

    NICE TO HAVES
    – It would be nice if Corsair came up with a longer strip to accommodate those that are using ultra wide monitors.
    – The hub the light bars plug into should allow for ports 1 and 2 to operate as 2 separate monitors. In ICue only one side can have monitor configuration, the other line will only allow it to be used as a generic set of light strings.
    – THIS IS MORE AN AN ICUE CONCERN: Would like a bit more flexibility in icue to let users configure where devices are in relation to each other. (Computer on left side or right side of monitor, fan position and direction in case, etc. I believe this would allow for better synchronization.

The lights are bright enough and easy enough to use, but unless you want to spend every gaming session picking them back up off your desk and trying to re-stick them, stay well clear. I hate the things!
