these are good radios for the price, here is my experience with them.
one of the slots on the charger didn’t work, retevis offered that i could return the charger and they would replace it and refund the shipping cost of the return, or if i chose to use an separate charger they would refund my 10.00. for how i planned on using these radios i chose the separate charging option. they quickly refunded my the 10.00
one of the radios wouldn’t transmit, the PTT switch on the radio didn’t work, again, i could return the one radio for replacement if i chose, but i intended to use them with external microphones so i waited to test the radio with the external mic. the radio works fine with the external mic.
i bought the programming cord so i could turn on the alarm function, i had a small problem with windows trying to install the USB driver, but that was more of an issue with windows than with the programming cable.
if the programming cable won’t read the radio you may need to go into your device manager, find the usb/serial cable device and change the com port that the cable reads/writes from.
retevis has answered all of my questions quickly and clearly. there have been a couple bumps but they were worked out and i will shortly be buying another 23 radios to fill out the team.
oh one thing i should note, the “emergency alarm” they note isn’t a translation error. it’s not a “hey everyone, pay attention i’m gonna say something important” button it’s more of an “OH MY GOD I”M BLEEDING TO DEATH CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!” button. this alarm is very loud, very obnoxious and is a toggle, meaning you hold the button to turn it on, then it stays on until the button is pressed again to turn it off. thankfully it doesn’t come armed out of the box and requires programming to turn it on, or half of my staff wouldn’t be allowed to touch the radios.

This set of radios and the charge base is a great deal if you need sturdy small radios! They perform in a class of radios 10x the price. If you don’t need an external/ higher gain antenna system, this is an excellent choice.
After a full year of extensive testing we concluded that it’s not just a great radio for the money, but if you need to monitor a UHF channel the receive quality exceeds nearly every UHF scanner.
The base charger is a nice accessory, however make sure you maintain clean contacts to ensure a good connection as necessary to ensure charging takes place.

We need simple, compact, easy-to-use, and loud radios for our facility. These are perfect! We have bought really expensive, really cheap and somewhere in the middle radios over the last 6 years and they have all failed us. Found these by accident on Amazon and was skeptical based on the price. They are EXCELLENT. They easily cover our 10,000 sq foot, inside, and outdoor facilty which is loud becasuse of the dogs barking (pet hotel). Simple to use. Turn it on, pick a channel. They are compact with no extra features and a tiny antenna so not easy to break. Sound is loud and clear. No outside interference. The charging station is a great space saver, radios fit in nice and secure, easy red and green lights indicate the status of the battery. That’s it. Get these, you won’t regret it, don’t waste your money on really expensive radios.

I ordered these two-way radios for my husband who is a PO and wanted something to use while in the field. They arrived ahead of schedule and where packaged so that no damage occurred during shipment.
They are a great size, light weight and charged very quickly. My husband said they worked great and did exactly what they were advertised to do. He is very pleased.
We did have to contact customer service and they were quick and professional in their response. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Ordered 8 complete radios and one didn’t work and the other had a bad battery. After replacing the battery the remaining seven have worked well.
After the seller read my review they contacted me and comp’d me two new radios. Great customer service. They made it right!

Great walkie talkies, they were purchased for use on a cruise for our group and held up well, battery life lasted the 4 days of our cruise and good/clear transmissions with little issues on distance.

We purchased these radios to use as communication between our office staff and our warehouse employees. These are awesome for this. They work so well that I was able to communicate back to the warehouse from a half block away. I would highly recommend them.

After researching many walkies, decided to give these a try. So far, not disappointed! The came quickly and well packaged. Very easy to use. Loud with or without the ear pieces. Small and compact but mighty! Came with the Docking station and clips. The range is pretty far too which was impressive. We work at a plant with metal buildings and some across the road and all over so we wanted to be able to keep in touch with all employees and these are perfect for the job! We have tried them in every nook and cranny at the plant and even on the equipment and are very impressed. The quality is great for the money, better than expected! Will definitely recommend these to others.
I did order the ear pieces and they are great with these, I’d say the only negative is the cord is long, but I tuck mine in my pocket and so far have not had any issues. It could also be tucked under the shirt or a safety vest so it doesn’t get caught on anything.
